This is a terrible documentary. We don’t wanna hear from any guards, we only want to hear from the prisoners. The people making a documentary should have free reign to interview as many prisoners as they want--and then they will find the interesting prisoners and concentrate on them. This is written from the perspective of the guards in the government, we instead want to hear from the perspective of the prisoners.

It's the same the world over the prison works hard to help the prisoners and when they get out the system does not follow up properly and they end up back in prison. It's a shame. This prison is exceptional and you can tell the staff really do care. They do an amazing job.

This should be done in every prison all over the world. Learn them how to work and still help their families. When they do come out in normal prison, they have something to fall up on, saying they can go get a job in the industry

They do. There are tons of programs available to prisoners. They just don't take advantage of them.

This is one of the most positive prison uploads ive watched . Of course punishment Will always be the main role of any prison . But reform and rehabilitation must also play a major role in the system . With rehabilitation comes hope , and possibilities that some prisoners could never have imagined possible in their offending history. Its not a perfect solution , but certainly a step forward .

I absolutely love what they are doing for the younger offenders. I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, of these young men will leave this program with a whole new mindset and will become upstanding men in their chosen fields of work and much better sons for parents and families. If only the USA could have something along the lines of this type of programs. I salute Australia for the hard work they are doing for the younger generation.

Not very maximum for a super-max. There are some good features there but there are lots of features missing. Officers shouldn't be carrying cell keys in a newer prision, they should be opened by the control room. In Canada, we have armed control posts and galleries overlooking the units, etc. We also have armed patrol vehicles on the perimiter to respond to alarms. Iur officers also wear stab resistant body armour and carry OC spray. We could use the screens over the yards like the Aussies have, though. Drone drops are a major problem.

For the US viewers, Australia no longer refers to its prisoners as slaves, like only we, Mexico and China do. While they do not pay them minimum wage, they do still have their right to vote. We all lose our right to vote here in America upon arrest, while we are still completely innocent. They also do not have to check a box for the rest of their life that keeps them from housing and jobs. They also paid the descendants of their former slaves, and gave back the land to the natives that they said in treaties was the natives forever. I think that has a lot to do with their lack of recidivism.
