I remember all the talk about Femke Bol being not only able to compete with Sydney but even perhaps beat her. I laughed. It did not surprise me that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone set another world record at the 2024 Olympics. She was all by herself when she hit the tape. She is the Secretariat of the 400m hurdles.

@@christopherwoodard779 she had a tougher program-no she wasn’t going to win the 400mH. Sydney is a class of one. But Bol did chased down the US in the mixed 4x400 didn’t she.
I really hope world athletics reprograms the 400m and 400mH. Further apart even by a day in major events. Sydney not only split a sub 48 in the 4x400 relay but it’s clear she can threaten or break the “unbreakable” 400m.
Sydney runs the best times, Femke has the more interesting story. I mean if Rocky was about a favorite to win a boxing match decisively winning a boxing match, it wouldn't be a very succesful movie, would it.

Femke is relevant because she is a world class athlete, multiple Olympic medalist, World record holder, World's best holder, multiple Area records holder, 2nd all time in her main event, and all that at just 24 years young. Out of the millions of people who commit themselves to track and field, there are only very few as much or more relevant than Femke Bol. There's Sydney, there's Mondo, Ingebritsen, Warholm, Benjamin, Chebet, and perhaps a few others. There is no one in male sprinting as relevant as Femke, based on her position in all time list. So...
She is definitely the super track QUEEN ps NO ONE IS GOING TO CATCH HER OR BEAT HER “SHE IS UNDOUBTEDLY SUPERB AND A PLEASURE TO WATCH HER COMPETE . Hopefully Sydney will start competing in other events to challenge herself like the 200,300 400 yd, meter races. We want to,see her compete and win 👍🏻
@@deansvenvold1458…she needs to compete more for what reason? There is no rule that dictates how often a runner has to compete. If Femke wants to compete in every doggone race on the circuit, that’s her choice. Running in more races doesn’t make you a better runner. And think about it, most of the Diamond League races take place in Europe. That means the European runners have the advantage because they don’t have to travel as far. Running for Sydney is what she does, not who she is.
I think she should keep chipping away at it because she wins money every time she breaks it. Like, 100k each time... make it while ya can! Not bad for also being the absolute best in the world.
Bol burned herself out a couple days before running one of those relay's that she came from behind and won. Regardless of that, Bol was not gonna beat Syd in this race. When you take the reins off the horse and let em run, the baddest one is gonna rule the day. Syd is not just another athlete at the track, she is the epitome of complete domination in her field. She continues to lower the WR when she runs and she is most likely not done yet. Barring some injury, she will probably get below the 50 second mark at some time. She is the best, most dominate athlete we have at this time in her field. She deserves the spot light that she runs in and I hope she continues to train hard and smoke the competition.
So I’m just gonna go ahead and say it. If you are a sprinter with world class speed, you can be put in any race up to and including the mile, that person will eventually break the record in that race if you train them to run it. Sydney is a world class sprinter. There’s no way Anna or Femke will ever beat her. She will always be able to run away from the two of them. If you wanna give Sydney some competition, training world class sprinter to run the 400 hurdles.

I think ashe was crying because she knew she went out too fast... which left her gassed at the 300 meter mark if not before. She is fast, having gone under 51.0, but she will never challenge Syd, I'm afraid.
