Shaq is absolutely right. She is without a doubt the GOAT OF ALL TIME, right now. Anybody saying otherwise is either jealousy or simply can’t say she is because they are totally blind or can’t read. The STATS don’t lie, they are what they are period.
Sheryl Swoopes was on an ESPN panel discussion today during Iowa's open practice session. She started off telling everyone how glad she was that "everyone looks like me". Then she made a point of confirming some of the panelists were "people of color". She is very quick to throw verbal roadblocks in the way of Caitlin Clark and WNBA. Caitlin is not the face of the greats she wants to see succeed in WNBA. I wish Sheryl could not filter everything through the lens of race.
These wnba players hate on her because she took a bad team to back to back championships basically by herself while they needed all the help in the world. And she’ll transition just fine, they’re terrified because she’ll actually have good teammates now.
Iowa was never a bad team, the TEAM actually has some of the best statistically in college basketball history. But this is what happens when media pushes narrative, people like you chew and swallow it all up. I been watching woman’s college basketball since 2003. Clark ain’t even close to what Sabrina was when she was at Oregon.
I heard swoops was totally wrong about the 40 shots per game. Caitlin averaged 19-20 shots per game either for the year or her college career. So swoops really didn't know what she was talking about or just didn't tell the truth. Swoops wouldn't address it when she was called out about it.
Yup, and swoops lied about multiple things. She said Cait was 25 when she was 22. That she played more games because of the corona year or whatever, but she actually played less. Classless by her.l
This is why the WNBA is failing. They can't see past their ideology... If you are a player in the WNBA you should be in the GMs office begging to do what you can to get the #1 pick to get Caitlin on your team. If she is on your team, every game will be televised, and you'll play to a sold out crowed for once. That is good for all of you. But WNBA players are kinda dumb. They say things like "We want a higher revenue split". WNBA has never made money.
@pgroove163 I mean, how many Cleveland Cavaliers games were televised before LeBron? They just don't like her cause, she's kinda corny, she's white, and she's STRAIGHT. 😁
I think the WNBA is failing due to not being marketable to middle America. It's a women's league BUT the league comes off very " Butch" respectfully.. you may think.. " wHaT dOeS tHaT hAVe tO dO with anything.. well parents want their kids to emulate the players.. think Steph Curry, LeBron.. not so much Draymond or Ja.. the WNBA needs to find those ladies to market towards young girls.. also most guys don't wanna watch wnba player's cosplaying as dude's... You'd just watch the article original.. the ladies in the Wnba Should EMBRACE Caitlin, Angel and everything that comes with this draft class.. you have eyes on your league that have NEVER considered watching games.. I'm considering GOING to a game.. and it's a ton of potential fans like me.. ones who only considered NBA games.. now we have another option.. hopefully the bitter old heads in the Wnba don't mess it up and cut their noses off to spite their faces.
Indiana is a basketball mecca! It's not a large city I'll give you that. But in the day of social media I don't think that's going to make that much difference. She's playing her college ball in Iowa City, Iowa. And she's a household name worldwide in and outside of the basketball community. I think they'll hear about her in Indiana too!!
I started watching women’s college basketball the past couple of years to watch Clark mainly. I know a lot of other people did too. I never heard anyone ever say “oh man I’ve got to tune in and watch “Swoops” play this evening!”
Taurasi, Sue Bird and many many other white girls are and have been in the WNBA. No problem. No one has a problem with Caitlyn. Just because they don't gush over her the way you do doesn't indicate a problem.
That's weird, #Sheryl shot almost the exact same number of times per game as Clark (19+) Does anyone know at what age did #Sheryl graduate? I hope it wasn't 25. Anyway she has the narcissistic mindset of a prepubescent who failed to mature.
@@Redridge07 Im a racist and dont know it after saying things that are absolute falsehoods to make a person of another race look bad is ignorance at a very high level. She is an absolute racist, and I firmly believe she doesn't know it despite how obvious it is. If Swoopes were white saying things like that about a racial minority player you would never hear from her again. Nobody would give her a platform. The sad part is in the world of basketball. Clark is the minority. They should be doing all the can to build her up. The old reverse racism thing. Clark is going to dominate the WNBA inside of two years. They've never seen a shooter close to her, and her ball handling skills along with her ability to see people are just sick, which nobody seems to mention all that much. Swoopes could be worse, she could be telling people she wants whites dead.
For all the haters stop playing with Caitlin’s name. She is goated. Stats alone prove that, numbers don’t lie. And if I’m being honest, she’s the first female athlete that got me to tune in to watch a woman’s college basketball game.
Oh really, Angel is the first one that got me to watch the games. She may not have the same rating as clark but I am drawn to the underdogs because I believe if you're presume the least, God can raise you to be better. If not in this world, it's the next world. This world is temporary the next world is permanent. There's nothing in this world to fight for. I expect Angel to look to God to raise her up. Man will fail her. God is her anchor.
A lot of black commentators and basketball players are so defensive about basketball. They can't ever seem to just praise another race when they start to shine. They always got to bring it back to something about them. It did it to Jeremy Lin they're doing it to Caitlin
you mean like how white commentators treated Tiger woods, Serena Williams, Authur ashe, Jackie Robinson and an infinite amount of other black athletes? you mean like that?
I hate to say it , but all of these players are just jealous for a couple of reasons, one Clark has set records every single year she has been in college what did any of them do , and two Sheryl Swoops lied in an interview 5 times about Clark, I think she is jealous although she will not say it is because the one who is doing it is a white Christian girl and not black. see they like talking smack like Reese did and when they lose then all of a sudden you just don't understand BRO!!!! just like in her press conference after the game crying boo hoo for me, no What reese got in the rematch was a woman who pick her game up as real champions do, unlike what she did, Clark said not this time. and then rained in 3 after 3 saying (COME GET SOME)!!!!!! and they just couldn't handle her. She is the college goat for sure, and we will see what happens in the pros. I bet more of the same.
That’s cute.. you might wanna check Swoopes résumé, she has nothing to be jealous of. Champion in college and the pros, with multiple MVPs. If I beat you for a championship and the next year you beat me in the elite that’s not really doing anything, she has to win a chip or it’s just yapping you’re doing. Reese got ring that she got beating Clark. Look at the players records that Clark surpassed in college then look at their WNBA career. College means nothing when you’re talking about pros. It’s all hype… this draft class is all hype… the ballers are freshmen and sophomores.
@@JB-bw8nj First I love how you just duck everything about Swoopes literally lying about everything she stated as "fact" about Clark in that interview. Second, Reese didn't beat Clark, LSU beat Iowa. Same as just a few days ago, Clark didn't beat Reese, Iowa beat LSU. Third, she doesn't have to win anything to be better than anyone else in college. It's a team game and takes a team effort to win, you are delusional to even say that. Fourth, you are comparing Swoopes' entire career against someone in college. @@JB-bw8nj You have to be a bot lol. LSU beat Clark. Not Reese. Clark had more points the other night (41) than Reese has COMBINED in their two games (32). In the championship, Reese had 15. Williams had 20, Morris 21, and Carson 22. So Reese was only the 5th leading scorer in that game. Reese plays with 6 Top 50 recruits besides herself (so they have 7 total). Clark has 1 Top 50 teammate. LSU should've been thanking Clark for beating South Carolina, but of course the bum known as Reese had to go taunt the best player on the court instead of celebrating with her teammates. Because we all know LSU can't beat South Carolina. They're 0-6. South Carolina is 74-1 the last two years. Their only loss? To Caitlyn and Iowa. Swoopes played NOBODY. Quit lying to yourself because you have a tribal mindset instead of looking at things objectively. CC is just better and if she was black you'd have every black person saying she's the best ever. Period. CC is the all-time leading scorer and 2nd all-time in assists. She's HER. Angel will be forgotten soon enough.

So many overlook the heart, determination and team play of Iowa. Nothing shabby about reaching ncaa finals two years in a row. Caitlin was the star fior sure but it took a team to get there.
Caitlin is a Great player and a good person good role model for ALL young girls involved in sports and beyond.ALL these people coming out against her are either JEALOUS or are race baiting if she were black they would be talking her up, but since she's smoking everyone on the court they have to just shut the HELL up.
If the WNBA team that drafts Caitlin Clark doesn't build the entire team around her and adjust the tactics to suit Caitlin, they are making a big mistake and wasting her potential. Something similar to what the NHL did with Connor Bedard.
Can we just not enjoy her skills and talent. There are many women with excellent talent and we should rejoice in all of them. But remember it is a team sport and while there are stars their are also unsung heroes.
The Caitlin Clark hype has brought so much attention to that game, that a lot of other players ARE getting recognized. I, for one, can list a ton of players that I now follow and love because Caitlin got me interested in WBB. To name a few: juju Watkins, milaysia fulwiley, Alisa pili, flau’jae Johnson, Aziaha James. The cool thing about stars, is that they often shine a lot on others as well! Sometimes, it takes an individual to get a community the recognition it deserves.
In the pros, doubling her will cost you because she loves to pass and is deadly at it, and if you don’t double her you’re still conceding thirty/ten/eight average every night. It’s ridiculous to look at her skill set and not see a good pro prospect. Maybe most important, she’s constantly watching the game, looking at everything and aware. That will certainly transfer to the pros.
The haters are SO petty. Their inability to praise Caitlin tells volumes, not about Clark, but about them. I know they want to build up the WNBA, but they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Before we can say that she is the G.O.A.T. one better check the statistics in a "Team" driven sport accomplished by "Dawn Staley" who has numerous "Olympic Gold Medals", as well as "National Championships" won as a "player" and "coach". The woman simply excelled in winning after leaving Murell Dobbins High School one very celebrated player. She stands very quietly the best player ever produced in the "City of Brotherly Love" with her mountains of world class recognition. Then there is "Luisa Harris" who had a storied career in the limited arena of early women's college basketball. Her high school, college and Olympic court accomplishments were in fact so noteworthy, that she remains to this day to be the only "WOMAN" to ever be drafted by the "National Basketball Association" {NBA}. What Caitlin did was definitely something short of amazing but in the overall picture there were two other females who scored more points than her in the collegiate realm, they just did not play in the NCAA Division One {1} ranked school. They did not garner the national attention in the sports by-lines, often appearing in articles in small print below the advertisement that said, "Shingles doesn't care, and neither does the rest of America".
I don't care what NBA players may think ..... they have no perspective relevant to the Kids that put their hearts on the line for near 40 games altogether ..... and #22 was excellent all along, shared the work with talented teammates who were more than role players - sometimes the difference - the fact was they were a few losses from perfectly awesome ... the team they played were literally INFALLIBLE !!! Undefeated all season .... and through the Tourney - just sometimes you tip your hat. Iowa fought back again and again .... they were of indomitable spirit and kept coming back ..... they should be proud .... though I know they are hurting right now .... twice the Maidens .... but, denied the prize ! Good luck next year, Iowa ! GBjj
Caitlin is getting media attention that women dreamed about and men envy. Biggest audience for any college game and second to NBA g7 2012 finals or not?
ALBANY, NY - Thousands of fans in attendance and millions of television viewers were witnesses to history, as Caitlin Clark was canonized as a saint after performing the miracle of making women's basketball watchable. BB
I can't stand how her upcoming peers are constantly hating on her for no darn reason. Its sad how someone's else's self dedication, motivation and personal success can cause others internal jealousy to unfold globally for the world to see. Their envious ways tors her success can't even be confined within themselves, and I don't have to mention any names either. They know who they are. The hole world knows who they are. Its that visible. Their souls are fueling with hatred right now because of all the attention Caitlyn Clark is getting. Its almost like they want it to be them forcefully to us fans. I personally stopped watching basketball after MJ's 1st retirement and only watch (playoff games) when the Celtics are playing in hope for another CHAMPIONSHIP! Go Celts! In fact the only teams I've ever cheered for are New England based teams with the exception of MJ playing for the Chicago Bulls and Tom Brady during his Buccaneers run. Now I'm like GO FEVER! and I know nothing about Iowa. The only reason I'm even watching basketball at all is to watch Caitlyn Clark play. Honestly, I was about to go all in becoming a WNBA fanatic, but after witnessing Caitlyn Clark's haters throughout the league I figured I'll just watch Fever Games from now on, or Caitlyn's highlights moving forward. I can't picture myself ever watching grown men, or women play any sport with jealousy and hatred in the heart tors another persons recognition. Unfortunately, for the WNBA players that can't stand all the attention she's getting., well, she earned it by playing her ass off, braking men's & women's college records. Unfortunately she just happened to play a hell of allot better than all of ya during her college run, no exceptions. MJ was embraced throughout the league by his peers because players respected what he was doing for the game. Maybe that's the difference between men's and women's basketball. Anyways, I hope Miss Caitlyn Clarks MJ's the entire league for the next two decades to really give them (all) something to hate on!
I just find it funny how NBA players and hall of famers compliment her talent and skill while WNBA players don't say anything positive about her because she's not black or gay
1 said I just heard of her during the LSU game, 1 said I only watched the 1st half, and 1 said the way she showed up in the fashion she did is greatness but all of you who are blinded by her “greatness” are failing to look at her shooting percentage and her inability to “show up” in clutch moments. Run the numbers of all the people she surpassed, even Steph’s numbers, and if her shooting percentage is better than all of them…then I will drink the kool-aid and agree, she deserves this level of hype. Her assist numbers can only be this high if her teammates are making baskets, which implies they are good also, and finally, the hate is not because she’s not black, the hype is because she’s white. Currently there are several other players that are putting up staggering numbers, who are accomplishing great things, and they are younger than her. They are being over shadowed because the need for a new great white hope, and she was chosen to be the face for that hero. Not hating, can’t be racist, just stating common sense facts. She’s good, very good, but I only learned her name this season (mainly because of Angel Reese), which means….great…is an overreach. Run The Numbers
You need to stick to Insurance, You don’t break as many records as Clark has by being good and/or very good. You didn’t take into account that just maybe Clark was exhausted and has to carry her team? Here’s some stats for you Iowa starters out scored SC starters 75/51, SC bench out scored Iowa’s bench 36/0. SC bench won the game Period. Go look at some of Steph Curry’s 3 pt. shooting stats during the 2016 thur 2019 NBA final games where he only shot 1/10, 0/9, 4/14 and there’s more. Before people like yourself speak do some research on other players. She’s White, Straight, Making Bank and there Jealous. She is going to light there Asses Up.
Numbers don't lie. Caitlin numbers scream GREATNESS. These people bad mouthing her is just jealous. Just like when Tiger Woods started . Golfers now realize how much money they were allowed to make bc of Tiger n it will be same for Caitlin . These WNBA players should be wholeheartedly embracing CC Jealousy has no bounds in race.
How pathetic is swoops. Making up multiple lies just to shit on a white female basketball player. Says she's 25 playing against 20 year olds, lie. Says she averages 40 shots a game, lie (this year is career high at 22.7), says she had two extra years of playing ("COVID year and another year) so her record shouldn't count. Sad to see the hate
If the WNBA doesn’t give her the green light like she had in college holy cow that would be real stupid. Even if they lose, her scoring 30 points per game would be the only thing to make anyone watch the WNBA.
I never hated Caitlyn Clark but the hype is crazy. Go back and look at the stats again. If your entire offense goes through one player then of course that player will stand out. Clark had almost 3 times as many fga’s as Stuelke. Clark had more 3 pt attempts than almost the entire team put together. Personally, I would like to see Stuelke, Affolter, and Martin without Clark. And criticism does not equal hate or jealousy or racism. She’s good but let’s see how good she is when the team isn’t set up to be all about her.
Iowa has never had a better team. They made the finals twice. They beat LSU, UCONN, and SC (last year Final 4). Upon having a second chance they beat every team that beat them this year. Your opinion would have more weight if the aforementioned were not true.
@@Joe-ny2up When did I say they weren’t good? I said their offense goes primarily through one player. That’s fact. They beat some great teams but how they lost is more telling than how they won. It’s worked for them but it doesn’t make them a great, well rounded team. Go look at the stats from this season for UConn, LSU, Iowa, and SC and tell me who has the better teams. What Iowa was able to do is insane considering just how lopsided the numbers are per player
Caitlin is a great player and shooter. Her basketball intellect is very good. Give her a chance as a pro. I don't think you should compare any female to a male ball player. The greatest of all time was Cheryl Miller. Cheryl Miller. Caitlin never won a high school or college championship. She takes over 20 shots a game. Iowa had some other players like Kate Martin, who shoots well, rebounds and is a better all around player than Caitlin. Basketball is a team sport. I know the media wants to build her up. If they don't give her praise they might get fired. She is a great shooter but good defense can stop that. You see what SC gamecocks did to her (5-20 in the 2nd half). Raven Johnson shut her down and stole the ball from her. I am not a Caitlin hater but she's not the G.O.A.T. Give her a chance in the WNBA and have this discussion 5 years from now.
Some of us humans seem to love building people up... so we can tear them down. It's weird. All I know is I started watching highlights of female basketball games because of Clark. As I did I noticed how good many of the other players are.
Smaller ball makes a bigger target, not sure why this isn’t mentioned as much. Imagine if the rim circumference was enlarged for men to match the women’s ball-to-rim ratio… shooting percentages would skyrocket. Clark is the best shooter WOMENS basketball has ever seen.
It's telling that NBA players embrace Caitlin Clark, like they do for most incoming high talent, while WNBA players do not. Sad really. They (WNBA) don't really want to grow their own league. They just want to complain about equal pay, while doing nothing to improve their situation. They are being handed the Golden Goose and most are like....Naw, don't like HER!! Unbelievable. The 30 for 30 will be epic. #HustlingBackwards
Thank you Coach Staley for setting the record straight. ONE of the 🐐. NOT the GOAT. She can ball? Yes. Is she the GOAT of women's college basketball? NO. She just LOST her 2ND national championship game in a row. That's NOT the 🐐
Its funny to me to hear these women say "well she wont be able to score like that in the WNBA." She put up 30 on the #1 defense in the country & yes she was stymied but she still scored 30. I guess that aint shit to them
And if I might add... I believe she was the TOP score of the game for both teams!! More than a third of the points for her team and more than the game's MVP‼️

She’s going to dominate the WNBA alright. She’s already living in many of their heads rent free. She may have a few down nights there, only because their season starts in a month, coming right off the heels of her playing 39 games to finish her collegiate career. Now she’ll have to turn around and play another 40. Regardless, she’s going to dominate the league for years, unless she decides to have a family with Connor.
