The anime add extras to it, and makes it look like he’s charging up his punch, but in reality, the Dempsey roll is a brutal technique that literally walks the person down. Great Vidcha!
He likely refrains from changing his stance while his opponent is near the ropes or in a corner, his feet is probably even and in shoulder width for a good center of gravity; instead, he seems to reserve stance shifts for moments when his opponent is away from those tight spots. Additionally, he employs the Dempsey Roll strategically to compel them towards the corner. (Sorry in advanced if you don't get me, I'm not that fluent in english yet 😁👍)
Yes, in theory the Dempsey roll IRL was used against opponents that were retreating, hence the stance shift, but the core aspect of the figure 8 motion can be done without the stance shift if the opponent doesn't move
men I have an incredible theory, I think it's enough for a video, the Dempsey Roll 2.0 is incomplete... well, in the saga of Myata vs Randy they talked about the most powerful blow, later on, what did Mashiba's blow against of Juan?, and after anti ricardo´s sendo? The blow that cannot be seen, could it be that the new angle of the Dempsey roll will launch the most powerful blows?
