I’d recommend Para Bellum - Factions instead of Nordo’s Faction Unlocker if you want a family tree. Plus, Carthage is bigger and four turns per year is built into the mod.

Rise of the Republic Etruscans factions are as numerous as is Italians. Always a good choice to defend Tarchuna and unite the whole Etruria to descend upon Rome.
I've been playing lately as Syracuse using a mod which gives to Syracuse units such as Italian Noble Cavalry and I agree; that unit is OP, it has like 107 melee attack in rank 5 with some weapon upgrades. I haven't checked it out, but I'm pretty sure that Etruscan Hoplites are the best tier 3 hoplites of the vanilla game, since their melee defense and armour is really high. Same goes for those recluitable Samnites; their melee attack isn't impressing and they don't have any formation like Shieldwall, but their melee defense and armour is sky-high. I guess Etruscans can carry out a Hammer & Anvil pretty well, although if they have a nice shock infantry with those mods they can even win the center with some cyclo charging.
Absolutely, the Etruscan roster with this mod is very powerful. Their units are very cheap for the stats they have, PLUS they can use Auxiliaries to shore up any weaknesses their roster has.
The Etruscans are a mysterious civilisation, being the precusor race to the Romans just as the Medes were to the Persians. The modded voice lines of the Etruscans makes me WISH so much that that Rome 2 had new voice lines. So much.
@@happycompy I think they'll revisit Rome 2 one day. I'm so wrong in that but I bet you they will when there's 100,000 players at a peak playing this....then there must be a reason to visit it.

Great video as always. I always play with Champloos Gold unit pack along with sebidees unit roster overhaul. They work well together. And all factions auxilia, expanded auxilia for all, sebidees mercenary warfare mods
Come on vanilla etruscan league is 2nd underdog faction but that italian noble cav is amazing. While dealing with romans is tricky, mid campaign demand real strategy coz your units are all underpowered. Good thing is that you can have client states but on legendary its hard to maintain them. For mid game adding campanian cav, samnite warriors and some archers or heavy peltast would be ok for Etruscans so they would be authentic enough. Levy slingers should be possible to recruit from lvl 1 town and not tier 2 aux camp. It is possible to win if you are veteran warrior. Garrison for etruscans need so much more love.
There is a new great mod out there called etruria it gives the etruscans not just new units but also new starting position and a complete new culture 😉
Funny enough, in my other modded playthroughs. One of them had the league become a power state XD Took over 4/5 cities and I made them fight my other allies to make them (allies) weaker.
@@happycompy I was using like.... 50+ mods XD But playing as rome and you give them literally a crap ton of time (and plus I don't remember EXACTLY how it happened) they took over the veneti I believe when I made them allies and made them fight the 20+ to 40 stack armies the ai made lol
I have a question:isnt there a rooster for them in Rise of the republic? And how dies it compare to this mod plus is there a mod which portes this roster over to the vanille game ?
They do have their own roster in the RotR, yes. But the units in that DLC are balanced a bit differently than the Grand Campaign's units. So to bring them over and keep them balanced like the other units, you'd have to change their stats a bit, which can take quite a while in my experience. More time than it takes to just make them recruitable, anyway. :)
I was trying to download the Unit Pack from the Workshop but it's outdated, there's other way of making it work? PD: Im currently using the "Rise of the Republic Units for Grand Campaing", and it gives a big roster to the Etruscans (and also for Rome and some new mercenaries for Carthage...)
@@happycompy it just completely overhauls the missile system. slingers and archers have better range, while javelins have a little less. it definitely moves the emphasis of battles towards skirmishers, since a well timed javelin barrage can stop a charge. it's a really fun mod for people like me who prefer skirmisher based armies, but if someone were to say it's op i dont think i could argue. then again, back then range was pretty op.
I don't know if you're still doing these, but I'd say Baktria. I just got back from that part of the world myself and have been playing a campaign as them, a video on any good mods for them would be great
Aaaaah the etruscans, the venetians of antiquity who were the carthaginians of the middle ages so basically they are the medieval carthaginians of antiquity
@@happycompy trade they traded allot with them and the greeks and got allot of there own culture because they adapted allot from those culture´s and then there own culture got adapted by Rome
@@happycompy I'm gonna try this new one out. Cause I always like playing more factions. Even tho some are under developed but combined with that other mod that adds units. Itll probably be pretty good
@@happycompy alright but now that you mention it. i think axum has good units. well once i faced em in the grand campaign and they had alright mid tier swords. its kinda weird how axum wasn't a faction in the game considering it lasted so long irl.
