Yeah I remember when he was on loan at Madrid, we liked him here and he played decent also (18 G/A), we just happened to have a bad season trophy wise so Ancelotti was fired too, but if things were better, we probably would have kept him another season, because his chemistry with rest of the squad was really good too.

Sir Alex was a magnificent coach who nurtured players. Many players, especially Mexican players, need that type of nurturing to succeed. Many either have a hard time or can’t adapt to European coaches’ style (or racism or undervaluing of Mexican players). See what happened in the beginning with Chucky at Napoli under Gattuso, but Chucky persisted and Gattuso finally accepted him. Thank God the new coach is saying good things about Chucky. Others, like Dos Santos, apparently don’t like the hardcore training in Europe (according to Xavi). There’s much talent in Mexico, it just needs support and time on the field (see Raul at Wolverhampton). Brings tears of happiness to my eyes to see the Mexican flag being waived vigorously at Molineaux.

@@alejandroleguizamo7722 in some ways the Mexican league is the opposite it over inflates the prices if it's players and its a crap shoot to even see who is the diamond out of the coal mine in each of the players teams of the BBVA Liga MX. Edson "El Machin" Alvarez with Ajax, Chucky Lozano with Napoli, Raul Jimenez with Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Hector Herrera with Atletico Madrid are examples of actual good Mexican players that are dedicated to working hard to be the player that a European team needs. Sad to see there is many wasted talents in Spain sometimes even they are their own downfall.

In all honesty it was van gual and moyes who ruined his career because they never gave him play time . He still has it in in to become great it’s never to late for anyone but like he needs the right management and the right trust from managers and you’ll see he could be great again. Chicharito was one of those overrated Mexican stars. He was promoted as this huge soccer star because he was handsome and was in a big team, so he was always being used to sell tickets and merchandise but he didn't have the talent to back it up and people started seeing through the bullshit. He was bad with penalties, he scored a bunch of lucky goals, he missed easy goals. Mexico was close to being left out of the 2014 World Cup because of Chicharo screwing up goals for Mexico, from that day I promised to never forgive him. Miguel Herrera was was the only coach with balls to bench his ass and Mexico had their best world cup that year.

Great player. Needed more discipline but also managers are at fault here. Coaches didn’t start him because he didn’t fit what they were looking for but he still managed to score more goals per minutes played than many of other starters in his team.

What is unreal is that Javier is the epitome of all that is wrong with Mexican football. Some Mexican fans are unable or refuse to see this. In Mexican football, the rise of one of football’s biggest hype jobs, el Chicharito, is the inflection point and the decline of Mexican football. He is literally the product of all those useless friendly matches the Mexican National team plays in the USA. The saddest part is that the Mexican continues to hype him up even when he is closing in on 40 years old (Connor Mcgregor voice vs Mayweather), it is unbelievable. Mexico used to be really good in football but it has been reduced to a laughing stock and it’s an embarrassment these days. However, just mention Javier Hernandez to some/a lot of Mexican fans and they eat that sh1t up and actually believe he is elite.
