Hi Rich, with bad vertical align, its possible that the hop chamber forces the nozzle up that when he cycles the solenoid don´t close all the way down and leaks ?
Are you drilling and tapping into the lower receiver from the outside? If so what size set screw do you suggest? I'm looking to fix horizontal misalignment.
What if when the barrel is aligned perfectly in the receiver, the barrel doesnt move in a direction when put on the nozzle. But when I put in the hop up chamber and use the flashlight and look down the barrel, it looks like it is to the right.

I have a question about the o rings and lubing. I recently got a inferno for my M249, and every so often, the largest most o ring on the threads for the nozzle cover would begin to leak air. took the front off, re lubed, re assembled and everything was fine, but another 1000 or so rounds later, it would start leaking again... is there a way around this, or is this just routine for HPA engines?

Yes, its the largest o ring for the area where the two halves meet. I have only had the unit for 2 months now, and i bought a second one for another weapon and it works fine. Is it possible to get a replacement set? It only leaks at the bottom on the unit where the air enters into the cylinder
it could be a factor but likely not much. air flows such that it takes the path of least resistance as is moves, so with one of newton's laws of motion in mind, all things move in the direction they're already moving unless acted upon by an outside force. The air will generally flow straight down the barrel. misalignment of the nozzle could guide the air slightly out of line, but it will then even out as it hits the BB. This all happens very quickly-- before the BB reaches the hop up patch. Then the hop up patch applies a large amount of backspin. This will be the largest factor in your hop up characteristics by far. Dealing with nozzle alignment is some serious fine-tuning. If it's not causing an issue in the system, it shouldnt be a concern until you have everything else squared away and are looking for sniper-type consistency from your shots. In any case, ensuring good airseal, smooth and clean barrel bore, and good hop up for your BB weight are much more important to accuracy/consistency.
What hop up barrel and bucking do you suggest also wide bore or tight bore I've had an SMP and it's amazing but I don't think the hop up bucking and barrel are good
+Dion Franklin thanks :) my friends tell me a wide bore with a prowin but I guess the wide bore grouping allows you to feed a good RF but tbh I want the best of both such as good on semi and good on FA so tight bore would be the best option?
+Speedsoft Do your friends use a FE? Full auto will use more air anyway. I would stick to semi. You will be glad you did when you see how often people fill their tanks again. I run co2 on my smp setup and I fill my tank once a month. I will occasionally use my hpa tank and that is 3 weeks on a 48/3000 tank. I would recommend a tightbore for groupings and air usage over a widebore.
+Dion Franklin yes they do 😂 we all have FE but I use my SMP the most it more efficient in both full auto and semi with my FE I have to refill every 2-3 games :\ but okay I'll stick with the tight bore. Thanks for the help :)
+Speedsoft Even with the FE, if you go to tightbore, and adjust your dp and dn, you will see how much better shot for shot you get compared to your friends. I helped a good bit of people with their hpa setup. No problem man. If you need more help, let me know.
What type of gearbox is that? Is it modified for just using hpa engines or is it specific to that gun? It looks shorter in the back section and would it work with an N7 Milsim?
Hey the alignment of my M4 is too high and I tried tightening down the screws as described in the video. Did not work. If anything its now higher than before. Now I have not shot this gun yet since I have put it together and noticed this problem. Before I had a standard AEG gearbox and nozzle and I did not notice any problems with it before. Though I do not know if it was already misaligned at that point because I never checked. Is there anything else I can do or am I SOL? The M4 body I am using is a G&P M4 Tank custom from Evike.
