Hey everyone! Newest one is up - and being Russian it was an interesting experience listening to what people think about us 😂 (There is a whole lot of vodka in there). Hit a LIKE if you want to see more of this series 👍Next week we have a brand new series "WHO DOES IT BEST: UK VS FRANCE" so stay tuned as the two countries battle it out. You will also see me dressed in a scientist suit doing a bizarre version of the British accent.. 😅Hugs, Marina (Famous Russian Person)

It was so amusing to watch this video. You just get the impression that people haven't got any new information about Russia for the last 30 years, and it's incredible that they just repeat stereotypes from the Soviet times. That country collapsed 30 years ago. Though I should admit that some folks obviously came across some nouveau riches and described the worst kinds quite accurately. It was interesting how similarly the folks were talking about Russian men and women being negative towards the first and mostly admiring to the latter, probably biased because our women are pretty🙂. All in all, it was funny and a bit sad. In the era of globalization we should know each other better. Thank you very much for this video and for all the others, they are great and fun!

there are so so many incorrect stereotypes out there that it gets pretty exhausting… some people have such an outdated/ wrong view of certain countries, it makes me wonder if they ever do some research lol (not necessarily talking about the people in the video, but some random people out there). from Roma, Italia 🇮🇹: Ciao Russians, you are amazing💋 we know in Italy you are down to earth and loyal people and we respect you a lot especially after seeing what you did for us during Covid harsh times. I was very impressed not only by Ciao 2020 which was a totally crazy but brilliant creation, where you can see the great work behind it and the great love you have for Italian music. You love Italian music perhaps more than the Italians themselves whom today are too modernized and listen to shit (I'm talking about my peers since I'm 20 years old). But what struck me was the message you wanted to send out, of your love for Italy which I don't know if all Italians are aware of. I too was surprised! My question is why? Was it born from italian cinema & music for a bit of everything? I'd like to know it. I don't know much about Russia unfortunately, I would like to visit it as soon as I can and learn more, but I have heard that in Russia you have a special relationship with Italy and I would like to know from you Russians why. I wanted to add that we Italians do not forget those who truly respect us, we are very emotional and we give a lot of importance to gestures of affection. You will not be forgotten also because during the difficult period of Covid you honored Italy in every way, even by singing our national anthem. That year has now passed, it was a horrible year ... but thanks to you it was easier to bear it. We will not forget🇮🇹🇷🇺

I'm from Russia, I want to say that there was a lot of truth here, but also stereotypes. For example, about closed people, in fact, it depends on the person himself and his personal qualities, but there are still a sufficient number of closed people and this is most likely due to Soviet education in schools and various children's organizations, where children are taught not to stand out and be a robot, now, fortunately, it is changing and today's youth is very bright and diverse, we are burning with new ideas and happy to live together, we are very sociable, we really like to get together and laugh well, we smile a lot, especially the post-Soviet generation, so we don't have gray everyday life, every day is special. Every generation is becoming more tolerant, we accept people as they are, we are proud, we support any creativity, all foreigners should see some Russian bloggers who show modern Russian life. It was very interesting to listen to different opinions and stereotypes about Russians, I hope that this comment will interest someone to look at the new and modern, young Russia, which, I really hope, will soon change it for the better. Sochi and Black Sea coastal area in general would be the rational choice.
@michaelschneider8201
@michaelschneider8201 Год назад
Krasnodar region. It's not a coastal area, but it is damn hot. P. S. What you should worry about is not the cold. You can get used to it. Also, we have central heating, and no matter how cold it is outside, the room temperature will normally be 25°C. But beware the lack of sunlight in winter. Without the sun, human body cannot produce vitamin D, so you will have a shortage of it. As a result, your immune system will weaken. Also, you can get the so-called "winter depression" from the lack of sunlight. Even Russians sometimes get it.

@@nebojisatomic1681 The US doesn't place butterfly mines in humanitarian corridors or use phosphorus, thermobaric weapons, and cluster munitions in civilian areas or mass rape civilians like in Bucha. Or leave behind mass graves like in Irpin. Or separate children from their families, kidnap them, and forcibly adopt them (at least since the abolition of slavery in the 1800s). If anything, the US saved Bosnians from absolute genocide and ethnic cleansing. Also, most Americans protested the Iraq and Vietnam wars. Here you just see Z signs and celebrations of brutality by ordinary folk.

I grew up around Russians, since I lived in a rural community in british columbia where many doukhobors immigrated. Those particular russians were very agrarian. Friendly, but also somewhat violent in some cases. I also know there are a lot of myths about russia due to russophobia and anti-communism. For example alcoholism only skyrocketed after the collapse of the soviet union, when 50% of the population fell into poverty. Note: some doukhobor factions specifically were violent due to being persecuted by the canadian government, and as a result they committed some acts of terrorism. They were almost like anarchists.

Russian character developed over many centuries. Lots of struggling to survive in cold weather and wars. This is why Russians dont mess around. Always on guard to know who is friend and who is foe. It was kill or be killed, but people are changing due to internet and exposure to other cultures being more readily observed. The world is actually becoming more alike for better or worse.

I think this perception is physiological when people only know a country from movies or mass media in general. I'm italian and the same happens to us. Of course people who have been to Italy or tried to learn some Italian know very well there's much more beyond. We also have distorted perception towards the other countries too (sometimes we even don't know they exist). Это жаль, но факт. Берегите себя
@alinabogdanova9554

i absolutely agree with you.. those stereotypes are really annoying and far from reality. I'm russian and i don't drink alcohol at all (as well as most of my friends and relatives). I love to smile when i really feel that way, for example, i see something funny is happenning or because i'm happy at that moment. Also I'm not "cold" and "tough" person at all, i'm very emotional and sensitive, so all this nonsense about "cold and angry" Russians makes me upset. In general russians are very different, some of them are closed (introverts), some are open and communicative (extroverts). So they are different just like any people in other countries.
