This is good information for those venturing into being a business owner, especially when you're working alone. I like that you compliment yourself and look on the brighter side. Maintain your standards of excellence, stay prayed up and keep up the good work! Blessings and peace.🤗🙏🏾
I know the first time that I ordered your hair better. USPS has lost my package. After I spoke with you about it you were very professional. Months later I we ordered and I absolutely love the hair butter ❤️
At least you respond to your customers. I purchased £400 worth of hair products from Mielle some time ago, but they never completed my order, bottles were broken and products empty(meaning they put empty bottles). I contacted customer service via email and phone several times and sent pictures of all the products but no one responded. Calls from UK to the USA are not cheap. Urgh sometimes some of these business owners and their representatives are simply trash. Bad experience all around.
You're right sis!! They aren't always right! The disrespect is UNMATCHED with people who think they can act a fool and have their way just because they think they can! Keep pushing sister!
I am about to officially launch my Hair Care Products and Business. I cant imagine having to handle all these claims. Imagine having to refund all these people and not even sure if they are scamming you or not. That's a big loss. I was scarred for you sharing this cos people will attack you, but all the same God bless you for the insight, now I have to add to my list to pay attention to as a SBO. Much Love
Thanks for sharing your customer service experience. You're a young business owner not naive business owner. You don't deserve to be belittled like that. Continuous prayers for your elevated success.
Yes please remember when you are leaving reviews for small business if it is something small try calling the company by them being small they can do immediate correction to the problem instead of giving bad reviews which can kill a small business reviews mean a lot more to small business big companies can take the hit and small business will more than likely give you something for trouble but like she said small companies put more in there products and they have better quality control so they know if the problem is true or not...just remember small business is like being part of a private club that you are allowed to get there products in limited quantity which makes you special😀
Thats nuts, Lost packages should be on the carrier, not the business owner. Carriers are forever delivering to wrong addresses, marking "delivered" when the product has yet to actually be delivered, putting packages in communal areas (which then get stolen) in Apt buildings instead of delivering it to the door, etcetera.🙄 They should be the ones liable, I always thought they were. Again, that's nuts that it falls on you
I’m encouraging you to stay prayed up don’t let nobody take you out of your character you are amazing I can tell you are very loving don’t do play you for your business I hope one day I can buy your products one day ❤❤❤ be blessed
Excellent points Beautiful Queen. You are helping more people than you realize. Keep pressing for every one of your blessings!💜🌺 #GodIsAbleAndHeIsWithYou🫵🏽
This was very informative 👏! I hope when you do enlist extra help you get blessed to find people who don't send out the damaged goods on purpose, or an item that was returned ( the doll hair was standing all over the dolls' head) and keep the product that the customer paid for! This has happened to me as an online shopper from one of the major Black hair care companies. I will leave nameless! I was too shocked to even complain! If I was in small business I would ask every customer to let me know right away if something was "wrong" with their order so I could fire that person for making me look that "bad" behind my back! You seem too professional to let that happen! Just my thoughts! I enjoy listening to you, my SISTA! P.S. Thank you for showing up and "representing" on the Dr. PHIL show, I was the PROUD 👏 Auntie!!!!
You have ebooks, sis that is so sick. I'm not arguing with anyone who doesn't respect and appreciate the work it takes to compile a BOOK!! ❤️❤️ mannnn they might try to downplay you, but you did THAT .
I totally underhand what you are coming from. I had some customers like, but in hair…. And that is even worst. You are doing a great job and yes it is your business ❤
Girl I love your life keep it going & ignore the comments because one mad customer ain’t gone stop the Massive and obsessed with your product customers from shopping 😍😘💯
Gurl, I was in e-commerce for a year when I had to promote and sale my book back in 2021. I was apart of a book project for BW writers and that ish wasn’t easy at all! I build a website and everything! Talk about headache with ppl who don’t want to follow directions. DMs to buy the book via other ways outside my website etc. it was too much! I’ve been in Corporate America for over 10 years. I’m still in it! I work in HR on the back end, like HR help desk dealing with issues with HR systems via tickets. So patience is in me since I deal with hire ups, but I totally agree with everything you’re saying. RESPECT is earned and your business is your bread and butter. Sometimes you have to know when to be nice nasty (nice but assertive). Let them know you’re not to be disrespected and you’re definitely not a push over! It’s sad that our own ppl do this to us, but wouldn’t do it to businesses of another race.
As business owners, we should be able to vent about our experiences too! There's nothing negative about it. Especially as a small business, persons think of us as lower and expect us to go over board for them and their requests 😭😭
Thank you for sharing this experience. I am interested in starting my own business and I know how unforgiving or ugly people can be toward small businesses. Customers are very willing to try to get over on small businesses however they accept what they get from these huge corporations and these many stores that sell hair products in certain neighborhoods. I'm not saying that people should not get what they paid for. There is an expectation and that is not wrong. However this is a learning experience. You are doing wonderfully. You have inspired me. Keep rising.
Sometimes companies use 3rd party carriers. I ordered a Pink order that I had to have "re"shipped twice because the original and 1st replacement "never" came yet tracking said delivered. I think the items were supposed to come by USPS but they came by another side company (whose name I wont say) who I was told works with USPS in some way. I checked all over and at the neighbors and nothing. We even checked as soon as I got the texts which I received by actually setting up delivery notifications on the 3rd party's website once getting the tracking info from Pink. I've never had a problem before getting packages. Pink was very accommodating and I waited a few days in between because they said that sometimes carriers mark items delivered when really they aren't. But after waiting still nothing, so I decided to have the 2nd replacement "also free of charge" sent to a different address. To this day neither or the 1st 2 packages have showed up. So maybe it was the delivery driver keeping them or sending them somewhere else 'idk but it was an expensive order and we never have issues with deliveries. So in instances like this I wouldn't even know how a small business owner would handle this. And I sent a request to the 3rd party carrier on their site and pretty much the response was that they were sorry and to contact Pink. Pink has the ability to handle such things like this but they had to send 2 replacements. Two! If they wouldn't have I guess as a customer who used my V.S. card I might have been sol. but if I used my regular card I guess I'd call my card company and go from there. Things happen and they can be costly for both customer and business owner.
When the product is in the postal office its not your problem anymore..it would be under the postal office responsibility its something the customer doesnt understand
Don’t be a push over hun. Make yo money n let ppl take accountability for their mistakes especially if they rude. Someone that is nice could probably get a free butter but not this lady.
It is deep because what if everyone clicked on the same link and thought that it was a natural product but act for a refund? That’s a lost of money. Small/ sole proprietor businesses are totally different from franchise and corporate businesses.
Let’s be fair dear, customer retention is important! You will be compared with a big corp when you are willing to sacrifice like they do to keep their customers. Walmart looses so much money on returns and customers being at fault per year. It’s a business expense, it’s never personal.
Ppl can say whatever the hell they want to say, it’s not their company and they’re not financially invested in your business. The nerves of us blk ppl. I can relate to what you’re dealing with. It’s not easy dealing with some ppl they’re extremely unreasonable and disrespectful especially to small businesses. You’re on point on how you are handling your business. I just checked your website for products, when are you restocking I need products?!😂
There not being rude to you because you are a small business they are just rude in general. Many fortune 500 companies also deal with rude clients. Trust me I use to work in a couple call centers...
You overreacted. You could have handled that with grace instead of doing this. She didn't try to ruin your business girl. You did that with this video.
