I wish to bring two points - Rs. 1,50,000 per year one can claim as deduction from his salary under I.T Act section 80EEB ( and not claim as refund from IT Department ) and SBI offers lesser interest rates on EV cars.

@@kavin2113 If you pay 1.5 lacs interest in a finance year, then the same amount can be declared as a investment under 80EEB section. Lets assume you are falling under 30% tax bracket (I.e your net taxable income exceeds 10 Lacs/annum) then you can save max 45k per year.

It is good what about radiation, should we check the sar value for radiation in cars like we check in mobiles? any how mobiles have become unavoidable, so i was keeping away from electing car/scooter fearing radiation and batter cooling doubts as some scooters catching fire.

Not only electricity production makes pollution also the production of lithium ion batteries makes more pollution as their raw materials are very toxic in nature so EVs do pollute but little lesser than IC powered vehicles..

The stated tax benefit at ('18:00' timestamp) is only valid for interest on loans that for electric cars, with sanction date before 31st March 2023. Users seeing this after that date, please do consider this into account, you can not avail this tax benefit for new loans after 31st March 2023. Please verify before you buy.

Hi brother tata service support is always bad only. The issue is that they don't want to sell cars in the showroom.. when u go showroom u can notice lazy people with no interest working in tata showroom. But compare with all mahendra showrooms u will see energy in all places. This is what I noticed. Tata will come down soon just because of their staff itself.. our great Tata sir should realise soon and change these type of business by all tata staff

7.5 lakhs - like a take back from 19 lakhs? No.. it is no tax for that 7.5 lakhs. Max tax slab is 30% ..it will be 30% of 7.5 lakhs = 2.25 lakhs

Different level of pollution evolved in EV vehicle. Stage 1 Battery production, stage 2 electricity production, stage 3 battery disposal. The only benefit ev gets in avoiding pollution is that the vehicle is in idle conditions like traffic signals and during deacceleration. The major treat was battery life and price. Also we didn't know how electricity prices may shoot up. EV is not the future, for timing being we can save running costs compared to Petrol or diesel.

Nope sir now the new electricity bill increased in traffic is soo high its not effective from cost savings if u invest 5 to 10 lakhs to install the solar roof panel then I profitable that too after 5 yrs until can get back cost effective…. And u can reduce ur home electric bills too using soloar power

No sir it's lifepo4 a grade cell so 3000 charging cycles without loosing big on degration...so 3000 * 290 kms = 870000 kms u can run before there is major reduction in battery capacity

whatever you say there is a range stress always in your mind for full tank petrol car also but that mental stress will be more in EV and the battery deterioration is more than engine deterioration on usage. as he said 240000 kms warranty for battery panel, 8000 power cycle , I really doubt, even Tesla is not matured to that level. If you want a stress free ride it's petrol or gasoline cars only for long drives or random drives. If you are planned and daily commuter then EV for a range of 100 kms up and down is okay .

According to them 400 rs for each full charge. But sure it will go still high. We r living in Tamil nadu. Here worst is tneb. U have worst low voltage and wastage meter for recording.. u will be charged heavily more if u r 8n home use due to worst tarrif list. We should remove free current and charge same for all units as like other states.

Surely not, we can't avoid IC engine, IC engine is best. Then first of all we should stop coal usage for power production and giving back power to EV vehicle. For battery production again we going to search for Lithium instead of crude oil. Its all about business

But honestly range drop from 300 to 250 after 8000 charges... I think that's too optimistic. Please take our mobile phones as an example. After 2 years just consider how much the performance of the battery drops.... But hopefully in few years the battery price might come down....

350kms ah...it's not true... i own Nexon ev no one has ever said they got more than 290 kms..basically any ev cars will give mileage 7 kms per kw....so 40kw * 7 kms = 280 kms per charge is the real world mileage on Nexon ev max

Hi siva prakash..Thanks for the comment..I told maximum 350 kms and being an EV owner you will be aware that it totally depends on how you drive the vehicle..since my drive is limited to city and easily am maintaining watt hour less than 120 which gives me easily 330 kms and night drives i switch off the ac after cabin cools and I used to run only fans which extends the range..

19 lakh is very expensive for nexon if tata provide safari/Harrier with this battery range and reduce the price btw 10-15L By removing sunroof and unnecessary elite features then people might consider Car is comfort product but this car dosent seem like a comfort for the premium price charged But seems good for a city use

Tax benefit is given to the INTEREST paid on loan and NOT on the CAR PRICE or the PRINCIPAL repayment. So, including INTEREST @ 12%, if the repayment goes ABOVE 25,00,000, we can save LESS THAN 6,00,000 from our TAX outflow and NOT 750000!

In EV also we have 2 stage of pollution sir. 1 is manufacturing of batteries and Generation of electricity. Manufacturing of lithiumion batteries are done using lithium extracted from mines and also it emits harmful gases during the process it seems.... Its an eye washer saying EV's are pollution free. Actually it is not.. it is an alternative to the fossil fuels which will be unavailable in near future.... like EV hydrogen fuel cells will also boom in near future...

1. EVs existed waybefore ICs hit the road. Once, 30% cars sold were EVs in US before arrival of Ford model T/WW1 so EVs are not babies to crawl as user said. It's a failed powertrain to a car then. 2. He says about petroleum refinery pollution but left out lithium and other rare earth refinery pollution then discarding of hazardous batteries after life span. So much "research" by owner. 3. And for 50k rupees petrol you can hit 10k KMs in IC instead of spending on charger alone.😅 4. At 27.4, EVs are not future they will die when govts pulls plug on not taxing EVs. ICs are highly taxed and still survives, will surive. 5. For 50Km per day driving, diesel or CNG option is viable. Final one, four wheels with battery is called toy/gadget not car.
