I feel like your thoughts on the Eva vs Chronojet in Standard is accurate for the most part, but from personal experience playing into Chronojet the past few weeks and at Springfest I found Chronojet to be an easier matchup, whereas Eva was basically invincible and had full control of every game I played against it. My thoughts are that maybe Chronojet has a harder matchup into aggro decks but Eva was gatekeeping all the aggro decks with the innate crit, anti-retire, and front-row attacks combined with plussing to hand, stacking triggers to bottom, and near-infinite counter-charge. She basically drags every deck into a long-game and bodies them. If they were going to hit either decks, they should have hit it at the same time as Japans hit and maybe we would have seen a more interesting format pre-Gandeeva instead of just a retread of what Japan had minus Ebisu. As for other formats, I haven't touched V-Premium in a long time since I'm also of the mindset that they should just nuke that format entirely. Premium I've also not touched much but I've had more interesting games in Premium than I have V-Premium.

Sad to say, I may have to give Vanguard up a second time. OTs completely ruin any semblance of fun in Standard in my experience, V format is basically unofficially done, and they slaughtered my favorite (and only) Premium deck in Glendios by releasing the new generic unlocker. Big sadge.

Alot of my decks for Standard are around Tier 2 and when those power levels collide with one another it's a pretty fun and enjoyable Vanguard experience. The higher end decks are definately though to deal with at times, the power scaling comparison those decks can accomplish feel so night and day to everything else that it can definately feel a bit too overwhelming at times. As for the other formats I've barely played either of them since the last Clan Collection. I've played more Premium recently because a friend wanted to do some testing and I really enjoy playing my Liberator deck in that format. For V-Premium I've only bothered to update MLB with a promo and occasionally I'll play Dungaree for some fun laid back games, but that's about it really.

I've been trying to stay positive to V because it's my second favorite format but the lack of new collection set it's killing the format (that they promised will recibe support twice per year) so as you said we're at the point of "Give us something new" o "just axe it already"

Jet is not okay. I know people make the argument "oh it loses to Gandeeva", as if power creep and a bad match-up is defense of that deck. I was worried about this when Jet first released, but I really do not want Jet to be the new standard of power. The main issue with this meta is it's just not interactive at all. Jet ramps out of control and has guard restrict, so you pretty much have to rush it early and pray it doesn't hit defensives. Gandeeva and Messiah are just as bad. And then there's Eva which is immune to retires. Gandeeva even gets perks when the opponent doesn't commit to board. The issue with the current meta is it's defined by non-interaction. Even if it's being gatekept by Gandeeva, I still think it's necessary to hit Jet and all the decks above it to try and get a grip on the power of D or else we'll be in reboot town again. Which is a shame, because like you say, the sub tier 2 meta in D is really fun.

Gandiva isn't as oppressive as people say. If anything, ban Best Harvest as that card autowins certain matchups. Regardless, Gandiva won't be nearly as popular in the west as it was in Japan. A *massive* amount of people play Gandiva in Japan because the deck is so cheap compared to other top tier decks (its turnover rate at the top tables is actually pretty poor when you consider this) In the west it's a $200+ deck.

Can we just make Tachikaze playable again?

Honestly, Chronojet seems really easy to counter. Eva also kinda has a similar weakness to Chronojet. I have no problem with them being the best decks since I feel like its' still winnable. Gandeeva on the other hand seems incredibly strong and I'm still trying to figure out how to beat them.

History collection while it seems to help against ridedown decks, imo makes it so much more skewed to going first, despite the errata to Harmonics Messiah. Oh ridedown deck goes first and does it's own thing, sure you can use the history collection stride to somewhat fight back. Until you realise that at the end of your turn you are at 11k base VG (bar Jet and Messiah, and later on Luard and Shiranui in the future), and your opponent now can stride for proper and nuke you into orbit. Yeah stride rulings has to change.

As a Dragon Empire main, Gandeeva needs to hit. Either limit or ban Best Harvest.

Jet definitely needs a slap. However, I also feel we need to Pre-emptively choice restrict of Gandeeva and Best Harvest. So we need to smack both.

Jesus there was a guy legit trying to say that highlander would be broken with lauris in multiple people's videos and when i brought up how lauris was anything remotely playable over raindear which also can get you 2+ markers and majority of the things you ride into way better than that stride while also not having a trash target in deck when you dont see her lol

I did not feel stranded as Meta was tier 0. If your deck can muti attack and rite or re-stand the vg in some way it is very good in this meta.

Jet needs an errata to the crest. The deck just scales to infinity while being able to plus like crazy and be extremely consistent. All other aspects of the deck are strong but the crest just completely makes it broken. Gandiva also just makes things worse since it just becomes the new tier 0 deck. If Bushi bans anything they need to restrict gandiva with best harvest and limit stirguna and errata the crest for both messiah and jet

V is my favourite format but you’re right, it’s getting boring. Most matchups are first to turn 4 and the bullshit op effects kick into overdrive. Nighrose is the only one that takes some form of brain to play

If you personally dont like v then dont play it but dont moan at tbe players that do like it. Some players like not having to deal with the OT even if the decks are the same for a while

I dislike premium a lot. But v made me very disappointed in the randomness and brick hands that may happen. Especially after playing a format with a ride deck so I really don’t know
