while i was packing last year, i would always make up excuses to bring something i had not worn in YEARS "oh i never wear this but maybe i'd wear this in this specific scenario..?" no. if you haven't worn it in months, you aren't going to wear it in college. save your suitcase space! your college vids make me so excited to go back to school and to make videos to document my experience as well :)
Katie Tracy haha no problem! as an out of state college student i wish i had taken the advice myself! now i just have tons of my clothes stored across the country that i’m never going to wear :’)
My college is great. Staff that escort you around the college at night if you are alone, cleaning services free of charge, biweekly wellness checks, view of the woods. Oh but no drinking games :(
AH GOOD LUCK!! You should check out my “college 101” playlist! It’s all my best tips from me & my friends. Excited to hear you’re applying and I’m rooting for you!😊👏🏼
ALOHA KATIE 🦋🦋🦋 I was SO in need of this!!!! I’m moving onto the Cornell campus in less than two weeks as a freshman!!!!!! Super excited, but also super indecisive about what to bring. THIS HELPS A TON ❤️
Also if you wanna save money if you are a coffee drink I would bring a coffee machine... I know I drink a lot of coffee while doing homework and in the morning before class.
ahh katie i'm so happy i found your channel! i'm also a far away student (international from japan) and i can't just pack everything easily like how students within the states can - you dont realize how easy you have it!! i can also only bring one suitcase which makes packing super difficult )))):
How/where do you store your items in between summer and returning to school. Can you also share how you'd take bigger items you have already purchased(like a storage cart) to colleges.
There are storage companies OR some students leave it with upperclassmen who have apartments leased over the summer. :) For bigger items, people either had cars or asked the store to deliver it to the dorm! Then you can bring it up to your dorm via cart and elevator.
Annika Herondale so Marie kondo has a great folding method for folding clothes and then if you drive to your college you can put the mini fridge and microwave and all the other things in the trunk
Aloha Katie! You slay as always Queen🌺... Btw, I'm graduating this school year and I admit I really don't want any material thing as a present. All I want is to reach 2k subscribers before I graduate. For everyone, I hope all of you will have a creative and blessed night/day💖🌈🌟
Katie Tracy Haha I actually went to WEGO after watching one of your video and I LOVE IT !! Also I am moving to Cornell as a graduate student late this month and your Cornell videos really help me a lot❤️Please move on making more wonderful videos💪
