This is really nice. I can definitely hear your emotion during the luma hunt segment. I can relate. So many hours where sometimes the luma never appears....sigh. Still these are good ways to pass the time between updates. Save the pansun. Part of me wishes there were mini games like in Yakuza like a bejeweled clone but with Temtem. Thank you for this video.

Thanks! Yeaaah luma hunting used to be about the only thing I did all week. This was before I started making videos though. Ain't got no time for that even if I wanted to (which I don't) :p

Really glad you talked about the time investment for luma hunting! A lot of people don't have time to run 3 radars a week, or grind the saipark for hours on end. I think new players especially shouldn't burn themselves out by investing all their time into that content

Yeah I now only hunt using radars, and that's only if I REALLY want that luma or I want the breeding stock. Hunting too much burns me out and makes my mind feel muddled :s

Big respect for being honest about the addictive nature of luma hunting. Mechanics like this can be exploitative of people's tendencies to fall into time consuming habits, and I feel like a lot of gaming youtubers can contribute to the problem when they lead people into them without warning or criticism.

You hit the nail on the head with youtubers potentially contributing to the problem. I didn't want to lead people down the same path I took without warning. RU-vidrs are actually incentivized not to warn people, which doesn't help the problem. In this case at least, if I don't warn people off luma hunting they might watch more of my luma hunting videos which gives me more views. For me it ain't worth the guilt though :p

I'm really curious about this game, I haven't played pokemon since black/white and when I saw this I got way more excited about this over the new pokemon game

I got sword and shield but I had (and still have) way more fun playing this game! The battle system is much fresher than in pokemon. There is no luck in battles. Everything hits 100%. Plus playing with your friends is nice too :D

I wouldn't call breeding a lucrative activity. It's lucrative most of the time only if you breed super highly requested temtems in the competitive format, or simply new temtems. But most of the time you might lose more money than you make if you don't get the good trait and so on.

I addressed that you have to breed temtem in demand in my breeding guide, but if you do follow that, you'll make money eventually. You do have a point in that sometimes you do get unlucky and you have to spend more money than you have to make the money back though

Have you ever seen the player Niro? They have 121 luma which is insane. I have 150 hours and am still trying to find my first one this week in saipark. Do you think we'll ever get an item that increases the spawn rates for lumas? Like if we catch everything in the Tempedia as a milestone.

I've never heard of them! That's a lot of lumas though :O I believe crema has said they won't make an item that increases luma rates, but they've changed their minds before so who knows

Just recently subscribed and I'm having some issues on Cipanku, are there any solid Tems you reccomend I should get? Currently the main tems I've been using are; Nessla, Vluffy and Mushi.

Valash is absolutely amazing for cipanku! I almost exclusively used scavenger valash and mudrid in cipanku

what i want to know about the Postal service is.. i just recently unlocked it right? so, will it only give me deliveries that i can legit do? or would it give me ones i can't do? for example, since i just unlocked it, it means i currently do NOT have the crystal skates, nor do i have Cipuku as ive put a temp stop on that till my friend gets back in a few days. would the postal service give me a package to deliver to Cipuku when ive not even visited that place? would it give me a package to deliver to someone on a crystal skate area when i do not have the skates?

I wonder what endgame content is good for more casual players. I can fish for koish, deliver packages, and I think the lairs are designed without much barrier to entry given the roguelike nature, but I'm hoping Crema adds more content for people who aren't into breeding perfect tems or competitive battles.

What kind of activities would you be looking for? I personally hope there will be even more lairs besides the two already laid out on the map!

@@Millarz Well, the activities would have to be integrated into the MMO ecosystem rather than just singleplayer focused or separated from the core system so much that it's redundant. As much as I liked poffin making and contests more than battling in gen 4 of Pokemon, those don't have much place in Temtem as they were.

@@Millarz No! I like cyrcrox... *looks at team* ... I appear to have a thing for fish, frogs, slugs and snails in team building... Sadly I don't think there's any actual bird temtem that are *actually* weak to earth type attacks. Tulcan is at least neutral; And as far as looking for "stone" attacks, Stone Trench starts with stone *and* is a spread move

@@TrippleBPlays Yeah, radars are a finite way to hunt that gives you about a 1 in 6 chance of getting a luma if you complete it. Meanwhile at the saipark you could get a luma right away or never even if you search every minute of the entire week. There's no set end to it

Sorry, lumas are really rare and worth a lot! I bought my luma ukama when I couldn't find one. I don't have any lumas to give out to anyone who wants one ^^' Sometimes people donate lumas for me to give away on my streams though, so if you join my streams for the giveaways you could get lucky and win the raffle for a luma

That's good to hear at least, I feel like they shouldn't have gotten rid of them in the first place but for me personally after doing a handful of radars back to back for hours on end with nothing to show for it I've officially given up, after beating the main story catching at least "ONE" luma was my goal but it's consume so much of my time that I can't even have fun with the game anymore :(

@@superyamchama5659 tbh 5% radars were brutal to do and I see why they removed them. It would be better if they had a better solution than straight up getting rid of them but they have other priorities right now. Luma hunting is definitely a gamble either way though

I would love to get the game but the 90% chance to get false banned and your steam profile ruined is too big risk for me

The chance for you to get false banned is very low and if you do, they will overturn the ban and reinstate your account if you contact them. A lot of the people complaining about being "false banned" in the past are botters who are mad that they got caught. Recently their automated system bugged and banned some people, but again, Crema knew it was a bug and fixed it ASAP. I have never heard of anyone's steam profile being ruined

Yes, I did have a problem. That's what I was saying in the video. I also watched youtube videos while luma hunting. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. I have since toned down my luma hunting a lot
