It's my first time with a nosebleed and I panicked like anything because the bleeding was heavy and there was blood all over. Grateful for this video. It was just dry winter.
I leaned back and it came out my mouth I WAS SHOOK I’m such a dumbass...fuck it’s 101 degrees here in the summer and holy shit I just started bleeding WTF I freaked out 😅
Thank you. My father had a severe nosebleed today and let it go for hours. He did not know how to stop it nor did I until I watched this video. He extends his thanks as well
When pinching, you should only apply enough pressure to make the nostrils touch the septum. Too much pressure will shut off the blood supply completely and a clot will not form. It will bleed again as soon as the pressure is released. The goal is to form a strong clot. By slowing the bleed to a very slow, the clot will form and, if undisturbed, will remain.
@@llamadramma777 Other tips: Don't tilt your head back, the blood will run down your throat & make you sick. Tilt your head forward & breathe through your mouth. Your nose will fill with blood & soon clot. Don't blow your nose, pick or wipe with tissue for at least 15 mins or it will start bleeding again.
@@iyang2341 Same here. Runny nose makes me paranoid too. Blood and mucus feel the same inside. But mucus is quite viscous that it stays in, while blood easily drips out. Frightening 😱
My friend recently shifted to Switzerland and now she is having nose bleeds . She earlier lived in India ( South asia). Is this due to cold weather, climate change.
Chronic nose bleeder here. Decent advice. What I do is lean forward and slowly inhale through your bleeding nostril while blocking off air from the non bleeding side. Exhale out your mouth and repeat until blood clots ~5 minutes
Bryce Hubenthal that me right now I sneeze 🤧 i blow my nose because I couldn't fucking breath ( try using mouth but need to swallow the saliva ) plus i cough alot
Thank you for posting this. My mom is on blood thinners and took comfort at the clear calm voice and good advice. "Resist temptation to move cloth for 10 min" was particularly good advice. You're a blessing.
Take a small piece of paper - about a little over 1-inch square. Fold the paper several times until it is about 1/4 inch by 1 inch. Place the folded piece of paper in between the gum and upper lip. Close your mouth, and the nose bleed will stop instantly - no need to pinch the nose. Your hands are free to go about your work. Leave the paper in position for several minutes, and the nose bleed is gone and will not return.
2 months ago, i had a nose surgery, for better breathing. The operation turned ok, but during the next six days i had severe nose bleeds ( 1 per day ). The otorhinolaryngologist said it was all normal ( -.- ). But the day 6 i had a mayor one, in wich i could`t stop bleeding for about 30 minutes. They took me to the hospital and i kept on bleeding for almost 2 hours, they even had to give me a blood transfer. In addition to this, i was in terrible pain since there were 2 nurses pinching my nose so it could stop bleeding. the most painful part was that they had to insert a tube that gets air pumped into my nose in order to seal the wound... I legit thought my eyes were going to pump off haha :C. Finally, when the otorhinolaryngologist arrived and told me " You`re going to the operating room" i said "Thank you", because i wanted to get total anesthesia soooo bad. After it all ended, i got myself in ICU for 5 days and then went home. Thge funny part was that before the first operation, the doctor told me it would be a very very simple procedure, and it would only take 2 ( yes 2 ) days resting post-surgery. Here i am, day 62, not bleeding thankfully, but still with pain in my partition. Anyways, cheers!
What I did during my nosebleed (still currently in process): 1. Pinched the hard bony part of my nose 2, stuck tissue up there 3. Laid down Oops. Thank you for this video
What I do and it works is good the 1. soft part of our nose for 7-10 minutes 2.if it’s not gone blow ur nose and hold it for about 3mins that’s only if it’s bad if it’s not bad just do the first step
Storytime literally at school I was told to pinch the bone part of my nose instead of the flesh part.. smart teachers, so I started panicking since it didn't stop, then it got worse cause I was moving my head up and down so much.. yeah, I'm ok now but it was scary
ive had a cold for about a month. i had a nosebleed last night and a huge blood clot came out of my nose i cannot even describe- it was a big relief though i am not sick anymore.
That happened to me last week when I was at church camp. I was just chillin in the afternoon service, having a good time listening, and ✨bam✨ my nose decides to sneeze and explode a blood clot right before I get sent to junior church. It bled for like 2 minutes and stopped so I wasn’t late for junior church, but it was still VERY annoying and while walking to the bathroom I had to cover my nose and a kid was like “are you okay?” And ofc, I’m really mad, and I just say in a semi-deep voice “bloody nose.” And he just kept walking lol. The bathroom quite a ways away so, VERY FUN. It was embarrassing. 🙈
a nosebleed made me be early to school for once.. I was having a nosebleed while I slept and it woke me up at 6:00, I was already ready for school and the school classes weren't even started!.. 😅
Most of my nosebleeds come from sinuses or a clogged nose. The other day I had a running nosebleed. It is annoying when this happens because blood goes all over my hands
I was taking a bath.. then suddenly my nose bleeded. It was from the soccer ball that went it my face, or it could be when I slept late and had no sleep.
if u love picking your nose I know how to avoid that 1. get a tooth pick 2.take the yellow whitish things out of ur teeth (only works if yo hav not bruhen yet also I just let it bleed till it goes away
It started right as I bent down before going to the bathroom 🙄 I didn’t go pee Update: I’m having another bloody nose. I have had 4-5 bloody noses in the past 2 weeks. Update September 10: I had one bloody nose in the morning than I accidentally hit my nose while washing it before bed and it bled again.
@@wizdombtd2133 i’m used to getting bloody noses so i can give you some tips. i’ve been getting them since i was little. -make sure not to pick your nose, -don’t blow your nose too hard, -don’t lean backwards or lay down when your nose is bleeding -if it’s bleeding for more than 10 mins u should maybe call an ambulance to check you just in case -put moisturizing nose ointment in your nose after the nose bleed -also have an air purifier or humidifier in your room to keep your nose moisturized
Exactly, it is a big misconception to think nosebleeds occur mostly in winter or cold weather, that's absolutely FALSE. Since I'm 10 years old I've been having nosebleeds EVERY freaking summer due to the super hot and dry air, my nostrils get all crusty or cracked, like soil in a drought. Winter months feel like heaven to me, the natural moist of my nose does all the job, don't have to use the sprays or moisturizers.
i had nosebleed in both winter and summer :/ one of the causes of nosebleeds is dry air which due to summer heat, the air is more dry, and it's also dry in the winter. This varies from outside and inside locations as well as humidity, heating, etc. so basically whenever there's dry air. Nosebleeds make me sad :(, especially with allergies that make me sneeze
act the same both when something bad/embarrassing happens and not, this way people are less suspicious. I used to lock my room all the time so my parents would not be suspicious of me watching porn :D, don't like doing something like laundry, do it badly and ur wife/mom will do it, etc. Doing something "illegal" at work? Act similarly when ur not doing it, so you get caught doing something legal/less illegal "did you just call me a bitch? Oh sorry just slipped I always talk like that with coworkers - bitch😝😈", "why did you not answer me were you eating something? 🤭No, my ears are kinda bad so I came to ask again"
What I do in a nosebleed is that I block my nostrils with a piece of tissue and rush to the bathroom and if I think it’s not serious, I continue with toilet paper. If I think it’s more serious, I grab a piece of cotton and shove it up my bleeding nostril. I lean forward towards the sink tho as I do not want to get blood everywhere else. Unfortunately I do not have the spray and when I pinch my nose, for extra grip, I use three fingers (thumb, index and middle). I also use a folded piece of tissue so my fingers do not slip. I’ve had several nosebleeds over the last couple of days and the most serious ones I had just had 2 blood clots coming out of my nose when I’m done with my nosebleed and remove the cotton. After a nosebleed, if it doesn’t bleed for a few minutes, I apply nasal cream with a cotton swab and then I apply the cream every night for a while. Also fun fact: I sense that I have a bad nosebleed by smelling the fresh air (literally outdoor air) and if it smells weirder than usual, I consider to have had a bad nosebleed.
Who else grew up leaning their head back? And who Elise had tissue in their nose while watching this? The only reason I’m watching this is because my nose always clean sometimes when it is hot or cold in my room or outside or I’m not at school❤
What I do is I tip my head back so the blood stops leaking out and I put the tissue up my nose to get rid of all the blood, it takes about 5 minutes. But once I had one for 15-20 minutes my nose just wouldn't stop bleeding even when doing the same method.
If y’all really want a trick to help it stop, roll up a tiny piece of tissue and put it in between the back of your lip and your top gum. It will apply pressure to help the bleeding stop quick. Your welcome.
You buy one of the things that pump up with air and then use a stethoscope just underneath the bag and to wait until you hear your heart beat through your arm and when it stops, first number goes over the second number and there you have your blood pressure. www.wikihow.com/Take-Blood-Pressure-Manually
My parents are nurses, and they always keep telling me to lean backward with a nosebleed, well I didn't believe them since blood keeps running down my throat and I have to spit it out nonstop, now I find out that you were supposed to always lean forward when you get one. Don't know why my family always says lean backward...
I was sleeping and I woke up at 4am because of a nosebleed. I tried waking my sister up but she ignored me. Instead I’m here. And 15 mins later youtube helped me!
Thank u for making me feel better. I been going thru nose bleeds for almost 6 month now. On and off. Went to ER couple times. I had a CT scan and required a surgery.. but. Last night had a very bad one. For almost 3 hours. On and off. Went to ER they put some kind of plastic device in my right nostril and it’s killing me. So much pain. I must keep it for 5 days. Not sure what it’s called ?
No. Part of this is very wrong. You should absolutely tilt your head foreword, and should keep an eye on the clock. But if the nosebleed is bad, DO NOT PINCH THE SOFT PART OF THE NOSE. DO NOT. If the bleed is more than the run of the mill type little bleed, THIS CAN MAKE BLOOD START COMING OUT OF YOUR EYES LIKE TEARS. This happened to me. The blood gets backed up against the soft tissue you’re pinching, and since it has nowhere else to go, starts pooling in your sinuses and eventually finds its way into your eyes. I am completely serious. This causes an eye infection due to the contaminated (by mucus from the sinuses) in the blood. NEVER PINCH THE SOFT TISSUE. ALWAYS THE HARD UPPER PART OF THE NOSE. The point of pinching is the same concept as pushing on a wound to stop the bleeding: pressure on broken, torn, cut, or scraped vein or artery to limit blood flow so platelets in the blood can begin to mend the arterial wall. As the bleed is not originating from the soft tissue, this pressure does not help. Pushing on the upper part, where the bleed is coming from, should help. If it’s not slowing or stopping within about a half hour (in the cases if nosebleed not related to injury visible injury such as broken nose) you should go to the hospital so they can stop the bleed. DO NOT PINCH THE SOFT PART OF THE NOSE. THIS ONLY GIVES THE APPEARANCE OF SLOWING THE BLEED.
if u suffer from this eat lotus root soup,i tried it once and i stopped nosebleed for 3 years,i know it’s hard to find it but it’s definitely worth it ngl
When I was younger, I used to get nosebleeds a lot, and teachers would often tell me to tilt my head back, and I would just tell them “no, you’re actually not supposed to do that…” and do it the correct way.
This morning at 2 o clock I got woken up by a nosebleed It was streaming out of my nose I pulled about 5 or 6 blood clots out of my nose it was absoutly disgusting I had blood all over me after half an hour I managed to get it to stop so I went downstairs for a shower to get the blood off me luckily I am OK now i had low platelets so that is probably why it happened or i had an inch up my nose and I stuck my finger up my nose in my sleep and ripped the skin and made it bleed but I went to the hospital today and said it is normal so that's good I even got a costa at the hospital 😎😎
