Lovely to explore the island from a visitor's point of view. I have lived here for over 30 years and there is nowhere as close to paradise. Thanks for sharing your visit.
Great revisit to the island. I've visited Mayne island twice and stayed over 2 nights at local motel at Bennett Bay. Great bakery also. Cheers from Kamloops.
Thank you for this gorgeous hike through Mayne Island. The rocks in the tree are to level the branches so they grow in a straight line or to create an even pattern of growth. Such tricks are used in Bonsai gardening as well.
Such a beautiful place! My favorite parts were the panoramic views from Mount Park and the Japanese Garden. We just got a Cronut shop in my town - now I will have to try one! Thank you for sharing your adventures, Melissa and Tim!
so pleased you're enjoying them too...the eagles were special....I know Tim was super excited...he can watch them for ages...we have a couple in the park that he photographs but never so many as Mayne Island that we've seen :)
I've seen some here in Western Massachusetts (moved back here from Colorado last fall), but they have been by themselves. I had a friend mention possibly moving to Vancouver, and I told her that you lived in Victoria, but that your blogs were a great way to experience some of the area. :-)
Thank you so much for sharing our Vlog Jo :) Vancouver is a lovely city...so pretty nestled in the mountains and super close to the wilderness...best of both worlds :)
Very nice video guys! You video offers a good view of some of the island's highlights. I think the only challenge is the 2 hour trip to get there - wow! I wonder if you think its a good island for cycling?
That was a really fun vlog. What a beautiful location. I had to laugh when you were talking about the donut croissants. We call them cronuts here. I had my first one last spring. It was lemon. And after I ate it I couldn't stop dreaming about it. Probably my favorite sweet ever!
Hi Tim and Melissa, loved your fun vlog this week, and all the 'banter'. My partner is always worrying about me getting too close to edges as I am so calamity prone. Glad Tim can laugh about telling you what to do all the time!!! Now I need a pastry:)
+Jin Yan have fun on the climb and I think it took about 1 hour to get to the top. Do let me know how much you enjoy it and I do hope it's not too hot for you. :-)
Omg im hungry for iced croissant, exhausted by the climb, I just climbed a hill and have asthma Haa Haa...now want to be a box ticker and your banter cracks me up like ALL marriages Love it Love you guys Big Love BJ xxx
