Hi Alexis and Louis - keep doing these videos on Switzerland and it helps International Tourists like myself. My husband and myself was in Interlaken and Lucern in September 22. Your videos help us to plan our trip to Switzerland. Thank you
You two just sit down and crack on with it right away,... great tips as always. Hvbe any tips on what to do in inclement winter weather (for us non-skiiers)
Thank you so much guys for your vlogs.... Just arrived in the philippines from switzerland.... The bernese overland pass is so amazing i love it.... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I stayed in Interlaken this past september for 4 nights and 2 days were raining and since I had the Bernese Oberland pass, I went on the Lake Thun cruise + Bern on 1 day and took the Lake Brienze cruise + Luzern the next day. I managed to do everything on my list despite the 2 rainy days. Thank you for the advise on your other video I saved over 500CHF with the Bernese Oberland pass, thanks again.
Alexis and Louis, Thank you for making these videos! We will be in Switzerland next week, primarily in the Interlaken and Jungfrau region, and are bummed because weather forecast predicts it will be raining all week. We won't be able to change our flights as they are non-cancellable, but are wondering if we should change our itinerary to visit areas where it might not rain as much. Do you have any suggestions for us? TIA! :)
In case this helps any other travelers visiting in June - turns out weather forecasts in Switzerland aren't very accurate. We luckily ended up having perfect weather during our one week stay
We would love to see about Gastaad and Zermatt place as well. The way u give all the informations it helps alot. Kindly do a video where and how to stay in Gastaad and Zermatt. If somebody travelling by car what to do.?
I planned 2 days trip to Interlaken by checking the weather forecast 1 month beforehand for 29-30 July, unfortunately the weather is completely changed with 90% rain perception.
Great video. Can you share the link to the screen which you briefly showed in the video which showed the hotels allowing day spas. I am visiting in December and saw that Belvedere is closed during the time I am visiting :(
Nice and informative...its easy to understand wen Louis speaks....but i find it difficult to understand wen his wife speaks...too fast..doesnt pause anywhere...i get breathless....😅
I am going in Christmas time and do you have any suggestions because it seems like many lines are closed. What are your suggestions if cable lines are closed. And what lines are closed if we are visiting lauterbrunnen area. Thank you
the closures depend on what time in December you arrive, many things open again in the middle of the month! Jungfrau.ch has a list of all regional closures
Thanks for the wonderful tips you guys! Super well done video with all the relevant info. Want to ask for the cruise trips to the castles and the caves, would we be able to do them if we have our luggage with us? Would there be anywhere to store our baggages? Asking this as we would be taking the boat on route to Bern from Interlaken 😁
My recommendation would be to leave your luggage at a nearby train station for the day! All swiss train stations have storage lockers where you can pay and take a key to leave your luggage. I think that would be the easiest way
The spa idea is very good. The outdoor museum on a rainy day? Not so much. Can you re-cut this episode and substitute for the outdoor museum that vacationers should drop in on the local tourist information center? There are all kinds of maps to be had plus the knowledge base of the staff is extensive. Folks can plan out their future days while in Switzerland on a rainy day at the info center.
Thank you so much for this timely video. I have a question for you: I learned that if you stay in a hotel for two days the hotel will give you a city day pass. Could you please tell me what’s the day pass good for? Bus? Train? Boat? Cable car to mountain? Thank you again!
hi there! not much included on the interlaken city card - you can check it out here, but its mostly public transit just within ineterlaken, with a few mountain discounts www.interlaken.ch/en/info-service/gaestekarten/interlaken-guest-card
@@TheTravelingSwiss Thank you very much. At Zurich airport waiting for our returning flight. Had a great time here. Will be back again. Best wishes to you guys!
Looking for you recommendation of where to purchase swiss francs upon arrival at Zurich or Geneva airports, this may be a reminder subject to many of your videos, currency used and m places to restock after spending.
Hi louis/alexis been watching your vids for awhile... just wondering i already purchased the Swiss half fare... and i try to buy bernese-oberland pass but its giving error.... would be travellkng from nov14-17 there.
Hi there! The berner oberland pass isn't available in the fall-winter season unfortunately! Many other passes are available this time of year, we have a video live now, but check out the top of Europe winter pass, or you can consider a la carte tickets as well!
You can go swimming! 🙂Entrance only 5 CHF, very nice! The lady in charge kicked us out only when we heard thunder: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r7vZabWpTjI.html
@@TheTravelingSwiss Yeah. I am like going through it on the Swiss- ness. I have darker skin so I was like confused. Studied and lived in NYC and Zurich. Working with a company there now but in California. Studying heritage borders and stuff have changed. Our family founded the US and descendant of Kings and Presidents. It’s a lot but it’s really one kingdom. Not the best syntax and English in reply but I am a straight up white black man. 🤯. Frustrated with the internet really need to be back in Zurich specifically Switzerland so the channel helps with my research. There’s all this generational academic stuff.
