@@mrtoadslove It sure does. Jesus preached one cannot seek mana and the Lord. A consequence of Evangelical corrupted Pastors has always been money. Mr. Laurie is no different. In fact , his using The Word to further his bank account will be accounted against him ....one day. Pretty words and scenes of contentment are hardly what Jesus Of Nazareth taught......

Most of his money comes from book sales.

@katrina6437 That was derived from his Christian research. God is not to be made a commodity. If Mr. Laurie made a living outside his ministry and used those funds to support himself and family that's one thing. But to preach Gods word as a "job" is wrong. Evangelical charismatics have been doing this for centuries. Mr. Laurie lives above most if not all his gathering. Very wrong !!!

@@radfordsmith2773 Where do you get the idea that pastors don’t get paid? Also where do you get the idea that he’s been doing it “for centuries”??? Pastor Laurie has written several books, the proceeds of which mostly go to Harvest. Also it’s the love of money that is bad, not having money. Living financially above your congregants is also not wrong. Who should he pick to emulate among the thousands in your humble opinion? Last but not least if God agreed with you then he wouldn’t have made Solomon the richest man of his time who was so wise that leaders came from all over for his advice and to admire his palaces. Then there’s Job, who was beyond wealthy compared to his neighbors and after Satan took it all away, God gave him back even more! If the God of the universe decides to bless Pastor Laurie or anyone else for that matter, and he comes by it honestly, then who are you to judge him? Are you not placing yourself over God in this matter? I have known pastors who struggle financially to support their families and it’s a terrible situation but because we know God is sovereign then who are we to question the reason? Perhaps you are envious or perhaps not but either way before you criticize someone doing good just because you don’t like his wealth you should look in the mirror and ask why.
