A friend says, "inspiration comes as a result of perspiration". I can find it talking to a stranger when I suddenly see things through different eyes. For me, when I'm feeling uninspired, I know I need to get alone with God and ask Him what I'm not seeing. Suddenly I may notice the sun rising over a mountain top or maybe a cardinal sitting in the top of a pine tree singing to the morning, a rainbow over a valley or even a thunderstorm rolling in. I believe inspiration is found when we look for beauty in the everyday things.
Allergies have been horrible in Colorado this year. Possible cause of throat. Pull from the joy within that God has given you. He will guide you, comfort you and direct your paths. Lifting you up in prayer. Good job for choosing to work when you don't feel like it.
Easy to get burnt. As a full-time musician, everyone thinks it's all sunshine and dandy, however, when I get in that down mode, I usually go back to the basics and re-visit some tunes that got got me going in the beginning. 2 things for me are: never forget where you came from, and distance myself from negative people. Bonus. Try not to watch the news. Y'all are awesome and don't ever sell yourself short. You have the intangible : Talent. Love y'all. Rock on 🎹🎤🎸🙂
You totally understand Calvin. It can be tough when your job is to create and there are just times when it doesn’t seem to come as naturally. But that’s when we need to do things like you shared... remember where we came from, who we are and what is important!! You are so awesome!! So grateful to have met you on this journey 🤙🏽🙌🏽
The last tip was the best! I recently learned that all of us want three things in a relationship: to be seen, to be heard, and to be celebrated. It is hugely important that we surround ourselves with the right people. Hugs to you both!
Loved this comment.. it just goes to show that you never stop learning.. especially when you press into the work of becoming better!! Relationship work is paramount to a happy and productive future!! 😎😊❤️🤙🏼💪🏼
A good word in good time! The fastest way out of a bad season is to move toward the good season. Persective is huge. You guys are a blessing! God bless ya'll and keep up the good work.
Being a RU-vid creator is not easy. We love creating videos, bringing content every week and telling our story but getting noticed and having your videos viewed is difficult. LOL, Fred and I feel like the little choo choo train trying to go up the hill chanting. I think i can, I think I can and soon it turns in to I know I can, I know I can. We all have to hang in there have faith and continue to work hard. Have a great weekend. Mary💕Fred
We remember and still struggle with the same things guys, just at a different level. When we started… we texted our videos to EVERY single person in our address book… stick with it, make changes where needed and you’ll see your own community grow ~ you got this!!
@@Ournotsoperfectlife Thank you for your encouragement. One thing that we do know is no matter what happens we will never give up, If we are small fish or big fish we know that we have touched lives and that is what Jesus wants from us. We have touched a few and that is better than none. So, We think we can, we think we can and we will. Looking forward to what you have for us next week.
We are NOT giving up bkop!! Just expressing what we do when we feel like not getting out of bed… and the week that we’ve had??? This was def true!! Appreciate you being here 😎🤙🏼
Jason, you keep doing what your doing. Cassi and I full-time but we don't get to travel as much as we'd like due to my work. Your videos let us enjoy what's out there when we can't. Hope your voice gets better.
Thank you so much JD. Meeting you and Cassie was such a pleasure and it really humanizes those that have support us for so long… can’t wait to meet again soon!
Jason. Well said. We headed out in our 5 th wheel for the summer not without a few bumps in the road. Yes I could of headed home and said screw it , but we still continued. We can’t worry about things we have no control of and guess what, when we get back to Arizona we’ll take care of the minor issues and plan our next outing. We’re doing our thing and nothing is going to stop us.
Totally understand, chuckle a little bit with you, and completely back you up… stay the course Gregory. With learning, and a little determination, you’ll likely never look back with regret.. get it!!!
Jason… You have to take care of you both mentally and physically. Also drink some warm honey lemon water. The honey will soothe your throat in the lemon juice is packed with vitamin C of course.
@@Ournotsoperfectlife You could but I wouldn’t know exactly how it would taste. the way it is mixed is two parts water, one part fresh lemon juice concentrated, and one tablespoon of honey or one good Dollup however you measure ingredients. 🤓
Jason, great video. Many times I am not motivated to do anything. My company doesn’t excite me any longer. I am not motivated to help people when they don’t follow what they hire me for. Thanks for doing this.
Man Stuart.. that stinks.. I’ve been there, stuck in a job I never felt satisfied doing, much less changing the lives of others… look for the moments where you can be the catalyst of change and inspiration right where you’re at… who knows… by next spring, your workplace might just be different because of YOU!!
I hope your throat is better. Just to know that you both are so inspiring to others. Y’all are so fun and charismatic. Keep on keeping on . Those numbers will grow. I pray for you both daily. Be thankful for all and take nothing for granted. Stay safe and have fun every chance you get. Live you guys ❤️
Jason you sound like me (Connie), I’ve had a tickle cough and a super dry throat but also not sick, allergies for sure but we’re in Alabama currently so not sure what’s triggered it lol. Thanks for being transparent!! Rest your voice 😊
Wow! It’s so important to be in the position that you are, to share such deep and real advice and true feelings…such an inspiration you both are, thank you. Also, I hope you are feeling better…test for coronavirus, to keep the vulnerable safe, it’s important. I lost my mom to coronavirus one year ago, not trying to suggest anything but kindness for the more susceptible out there…hoping you, and those around you good health and love. ❤️
Hey Jason, thanks for the video! We’ve been following you and Dellyn for a while now and appreciate your views on rv life! Keep on keeping it real! Thank you!
Life can just have some tough moments - pure & simply stated. We are so grateful that this was meaningful to you & your personal journey Gene. Thank you for sharing this with us & we hope you continue to keep your head up & remember how valuable your life is!
Thanks Jason, you guys are amazing and your channel will get there! Thanks for encouraging all of us. I’m finally getting my business license to start trying to sell my landscape photography in shops in my area in California.
I am 73, a fine art phtographer. What you are attempting to do is similar to trying to make it as an artist. I started out in the late 60's. I was young, full of fire, inspired, and going to do my damnedest to make it as a fine art photographer. I shot pictures all the time, lived and breathed it, went to college, earned a bachelor's and master's in it, then walked the streets of New York City to try to get into a gallery. The only way you could make it back then was to get a gallery in New York City to represent you. Anyway, I did it all, I did get a gallery, but he only sold a few pictures. Eventually, I fell back on my teaching certifications and became a fine arts and photography teacher in public schools. I am retired now, and living on a pension and have a nice new house. That is what a regular job provided. If I had doggedly kept pursuing photography, I doubt I would be comfortable today. Second, there were tens of thousands if not a million other people my age trying to make it as a fine art photographer. Where are they today? I don't know, but you can count the ones who became famous on the fingers of one hand. My advice is this. Enjoy this period of your life, but don't do it too long if it is not working. You can waste years. I didn't get my last permanent job until I was 39. I had to do what I had to do, so I am not sorry I pursued fine art photography for so long, but I wish I had more years toward my pension. I would have more money today. By the way. all those pictures I took in graduate school and the next ten years? In the early 2000's and nearing retirement, I put on one last big pubsh. I got all my major projects published in all the major magazines and won first place in the International Photoraphy Awards three yerars in a row. Great for me, but I didn't sell anything from it all. Parting shot. Analyze what those successful channels have. I have. This is what I think they have. 1, Something unique and universal that everyone wants to see. 2. Positive and different way of presenting it. Gotta be up! Gotta be happy! 3. Attractive people get more hits. It isn't fair, but beautiful sexy women get more hits and sell more products. Beautiful, sexy, smiling, happy, and unique way of presenting will make you a you a RU-vid millionaire. Get your girlfriend or wife to present. Look at Eva zu Beck. ru-vid.com Cute, positive, fun, does big trips, travels alone! (Unique for a woman). As they say. Go big or go home!
There is so much wisdom in this comment Russ. We have read it over & over to soak it in. Thank you for sharing this part of your personal journey with us!! And Eva Zu Beck - Very cool channel!! We are learning so much as we go through this journey & from people who share theirs with us. We have had many of conversations with those we love & perfect strangers - All in all, we are doing what we love with our family by our side & hope to positively impact those who choose to follow along on this journey with us. There is much to learn about remaining fluid & flexible! Thank you again for your thoughtful advice💙🙏🏼💜
@@Ournotsoperfectlife Life is a crapshoot. You don't know what is going to work out and what won't. They say to follow your passion. That is what I did and I wouldn't listen to anyone. Glad I did because if I didn't, I would have kicked myself my entire life. I would have told stories about how I could have been famous or this or that. Now I know. And I did have successes. More than many of my generation. I also know that "I'm good". That was part of what I was trying to do. I wanted to master my craft. So, I built up my ego. When I was young I had about the lowest ego of anyone on the planet. I think I had learning disabilities, but I wasn't ever tested. I was put into the dummy class in 7th grade, worked my way out, took the hard classes to prove I was like everyone else, and ended HS winning a NY State Regents College Scholarship, which paid full tuition for four years. I could go on. My advice is to you is to keep doing what you are doing. As long as you are loving it, having great experiences, and hopefully making RU-vid money, why not? There may be a time when you can't. I have had ups and downs during my life. In my late 20's I was broke, living in my friend's house, teaching college part time, but I was also free to walk the streets of NYC and take pictures or go to the museums 2-3 days per week. I did that for about three years. I knew I would eventually have to get a real job. I also knew all those big buildings in New York were full of people who were firmly in the rat race and could not walk the streets and live the life of an artist. Sucked for them. On the other hand, they may have had multimillion dollar homes, etc. etc. etc. I was kind of embarrassed to be so broke, but I had a good time. I look back at those as my "halycion days". I remember the clear blue sky on an October day walking on the abandoned West Side Highway, taking pictures, looking at the skyline. I know many of my friends were stuck in a job somewhere. My brither got a degree in library science. Ended up being a librarian in various NY State prisons. About the time I was walking the streets taking pictures, he was the librarian in Dannemora Maximum Security State Prison. He hated it, but that was the only job for a librarian at the time he needed a job. He worked for 30 years in the prisons to get the same pension I got after 21. Pensions are a big deal, but you have to be somewhere the pension system is independent from the politicians or voters, such as NY or Mass. If you get in a lot of years, you can do very well. I thing over 30 years I will collect around a million dollars and have had full medical insurance for my wife and I. That is something. I see these young couples on RU-vid trying to make it off the grid. What if something bad happens? How will they get treated? Doctors and hospitals are expensive, and if you are broke, they will only patch you up and send you on your way. I needed a lot of dental work when I was about 30. 13 teeth needed work. I went to the dental school at the university I was teaching at and was their guinnea pig. Only had to pay for materials. However, I had to get that from my mother, who was not happy to pay it. It cost $1500 over one year.
I forgot to add that to get a lot of clicks you need a "click baity" thumbnail. That is one of the things Mr. Beast mentioned. Great Thumb, something that draws the most people, (ie sexy picture,, universal subject, piggy back on a brand, etc), video that holds them them for 20 minutes or more for monetizing, three ads (don't put them in the first half, sink the hook), leave them wanting more (tell them where you will be going next), add things that draw emotional responses ( like a puppy, could be a snake though.) Video editing and quality are not as important as messaging and being happy! Most people ae nto very happy. They are surviving. They go to RU-vid for escapist entertainment. Give them happiness and fun. Give them what they want to see. Think about that. Some travelers get temp jobs. You can even work for free is you can video the job and monetize it. Mr. Beast got clicks by giving money and stuff away. You could give your labor and good will away. Help people, help a community, help animals. do good! Get permission first. TRavel from place to place helping. Maybe eventually you could even organize others to help. Put that into your thumb. We raised $10,000. We saved Bambi We buit a home for a tornado victim. The things yo can do are endless. You could get a good picture, the theme is universal, people like do gooders, etc. I kinda think you should keep religion out of it, but there is a large fundamentalist Christian community out there. If you can tap into existing groups you can build your channel fast. That is why people tap into brands. Tesla, DeWalt tools, Amazon, etc. (I saved $1,000 on Amazon!)
You can also do click baity things. I jumped off the Grand Canyon. Maybe you show a 5 foot jump, but make it funny.. I swam in a dry lake. Show Lake Mead and how dry it is. I ate weeds. Show galthering and cooking foods found in the wild. I ate Bear meat. Show pictures of bears, go to a stor that sells wild animal meats, buy a package of bear meat and eat it. It could be funny. It is not great tasting. You would have to marinade it for a few days. Get creative with what is in front of you and the road provides.
This is just what we needed to hear today. You both are amazing. We feel like we are stuck in a rut. You have given us hope. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly..
Stay with it guys!! I popped by your channel and would just say that consistent work and smart changes can make all the difference in the world. You guys GOT THIS!!
My wife & I started our full-time RV life about five months ago, and your videos and your family have been a huge inspiration to us. Our life is not perfect either, but we enjoy every minute of it. We don’t move as much as we’d like to yet; my wife works from the RV and we have to be stationary for a while. But I live vicariously through your travels. Keep those videos coming. All the best to you, Delynn, and the boys. Can’t wait for your next video. You’re always a wonderful inspiration.
How humbling it is to be an inspiration to you and your family. So glad/proud that you’re out there doing it!!! Videos will be coming and the stories will be shared!! Thank you for your support Daniel!
I hear ya, we started our channel a year ago and holy cow it's so slow growing and I really don't know what it takes to get those that DO watch to leave a comment, it's just a huge struggle. I know there are things we are far from even good at and I admit that and I'm willing to keep learning but it's hard to keep going. Lucky for me it's just a fun thing for me, we are not doing this as income "even though what little we make is nice". I think I will give it through this summers travels and see what happens. Maybe set a goal and if we are not there we will just lay it to rest this winter. Anyway. well timed video.
I am learning to write. My goal is to published and/ or syndicated. So far, I have started posting twice weekly to our local NextDoor social media platform, and just started in late June when I looked around and saw so many people eaten up with depression and anxiety and just KNEW that giving them a few moments of laughter MIGHT make a difference. So far so good, so I plan to keep at it, whether I "feel like it" or not on some days. Thanks for telling me exactly what I needed to hear. You guys are the best!
This is fantastic TheSuesido!!! We have friends that are writers and it is for sure a long game mentality - but good on you for going after this dream. Writing certainly lifts people up as well as educates them... I cannot tell you how long I have spent reading blogs, travel articles and random wilderness writings... this is awesome, keep up the good work!!!
@@Ournotsoperfectlife Knowing how extremely busy y'all are, I just wanted to thank you for the encouragement. This is years in the making! Hay, give a shout if you ever want to read one of my little blurbs! Be safe out there, and keep smiling.
@@Ournotsoperfectlife we are not in home yet. Thank you for asking! Still in rv on site of our new home. Rehab is going slow. We purchased from a 96 yr old lady and she went into a home. Left all of her stuff in house! We literally had 5k pds of stuff we hauled to dump before we could get started. Drywall now done, painters next week, hvac, tile and carpet still to be done in month of July. We will move in the first of August. Having a difficult time adjusting to city life. As we were very rural before. My kids keep reminding us that God knew our address before us-and this is where He planted us… for such a time as this! such wisdom! Tell my soul sister I watch every episode and I’m still your biggest fan! I’m not through with rv’ing. Just sitting this season out! Would love to do a meet up with you when we are back on the road! We traded our big Montana for a sweet truck camper. Hubby more comfortable driving it! Be well my friends! Stayed inspired!!
Jason my friend you know we are following Jesus. You need to come sit awhile and renew yourself in our woods. We love you and uphold you and want everything good for you.
WOW - the timing of this video is perfect. We started our YT channel a year and a half ago and it grew fast at first and kind of just stalled. We get frustrated - and sometimes don't feel inspired to do a video. I've never worked SO hard in my life. These videos literally take 9-10 hours to make an edit - and its so discouraging when you only get 100 views. Honesty we've thought about quitting - but I love YT and I want to make this work. There's a saying - "Don't quit before the miracle happens". So we're not quitting. Thanks for sharing this video - it made me realize that other content creators get frustrated too. I needed to watch this today! Thanks again & God bless.
I so love that both of you always speak from your heart, and the words you have spoken here Jason are so true. The fact that you and Dellynn share your lives, your thoughts, and your dreams with us is a very brave thing to do. You touch people's lives through these videos and provide so much inspiration to so many. Billy and I are so blessed to have you in our lives and proudly say that you make our everyday life beautiful ! Love you both to the moon and back!
Jason, you guys rock and this video was short and perfect 👍 It’s a good way to put a positive twist on a negative situation. I wake up everyday wondering if one of my videos took off and got my channel going. It’s a constant struggle each day to stay motivated to make more content even though nobody is watching it. I spent 4 straight long days editing my last video on Sedona, AZ and even changed my end screen to match the video and made sure it was perfect!! I was so proud to release that video, only to have it flop 😭. I agree with you that YT is the hardest job ever!! Especially if ur not getting paid haha 😂. I hope you start feeling better Cuz 🤙
Totally get this.. when we went to the Redwoods and created a video for that.. I had this crazy dream for the video and knew EXACTLY how I wanted to film, what I wanted to say, and how I wanted it to come out... 60 hours of filming, and editing later for a video that was less than 16 minutes.. I was absolutely SURE it was going to be a banger... it failed miserably. In fact, the analytics still cannot get that video the exposure (I believe) it should be getting... hang in there.. you got this. And, I believe that you have what it takes to make it big!
@@Ournotsoperfectlife thanks Jason for saying that!! It does really mean a lot coming from you guys 😁. I’ll go check out that Redwoods video. I might have already watched it but now that I know how much work went into it then I want to watch it again. You guys really deserve those 100,000+ subscribers and with how active you are and how positive you are, not to mention the editing skills and personality your day is coming 🤘
Sending you some good energy 🙏🏽 Woww funny you mention “steps” ... had a major hiccup in our plans and I was so upset that this was gonna derail us from our goals. A friend (long time follower) told me “This might not be the STEP you intended BUT it’s a STEP in a direction of where you want to be” and just like that... it snapped me back and reminded me that things happen for a reason. It’s not how you get knocked down, it’s how and what you do when you get back up! Things can get overwhelming at times but my faith 🙏🏽 is what keeps me going foreword knowing I’m on the right path. Saying all that, we started rethinking everything and adjusting. Cause Everything is gonna be ok!! Welll we got some major good news today that put us possibly back on track of what we wanted to do... possibly right on the exact time frame we wanted to get on the road. 🙏🏽 God is great and feeling blessed definitely! I know for a FACT he is leading the way and we are on the path that’s best for us 🙌🏽 Thanks for being inspiring and always reminding us that even thou crap happens 🥰breathe and work thru it, have faith and patience. 🌺Lori&Ruben 🤙🏽
So many times it seems like “our plans” get sidetracked.. yet somehow we end up right where we are supposed to be!! Praise God that things are working out and looking up!!
It's amazing that you are able to inspire so many people even while you are uninspired! Thanks for the content Jay!! Hope you feel better soon. And thanks for the call the other day, it was great to chat:)
We really feel like it is important to be transparent Peter and that not everyday is awesome all the time no matter who you are, where you live, or what you do. But we all still have the same opportunity to lift up our head, take one more step, reach out for help if needed, encourage each other and keep on keeping on. So glad you reached out Peter🤙🏽 really appreciate your friendship!
Hey guys! Great video. Sometimes the mind is our biggest enemy! Especially when you lay down to sleep and your mind says "hey let's over analyze everything" lol. Sometimes the 1st step is getting out of bed or off the cough. This community atand with you and your family. Love you guys!
Love the transparency, love your heart. It is a journey and so right it takes work, anything worth while takes work. Lifting you and your family in prayer. We love you guys.
great video Jason I'm about to retire and want to downsize our home and get on the road not sure about full time yet but your encourgement is very helpful thank you and Delynn
You know james, this is awesome nonetheless. You do what satisfies and brings satisfaction to you in this situation.. love it or hate it ~ you’ll learn what works for you. We are just glad to be apart of this journey with you.
Jason, I’ve been grasping, and struggling myself for inspiration sometimes.. This video right here brother inspired me.. Thank you !! That’s why I follow you guys… You help… See you soon out on the road… Thanks for sharing…. Safe Travels ✌️💙🙏🇺🇸
Dang Chad.. we all feel you here man.. grasping for something, anything to inspire us into something greater and better.. so glad you’re here man, and we hope to meet up on the road for sure!!!
Thank you so much Kristen.. yes.. much is happening and this was a difficult video to film and produce. But alas, we still reach people with sunny days ahead!! Thank you!
Thank you, Jason. I got inspired to get a bigger travel trailer after 6 months fulltiming. It's hard work and scary. What if I make another mistake? This week I sold my 25ft trailer and drove from TX to KS to buy a bigger one, used. I bought it today, but last night I was tormented by thoughts of who does this? I'm the only solo overthehill woman with a towed rig, plus 3 black labs. Who the heck does that? AM I crazy? Should I just get a little apartment and grow old gracefully? Then I woke up this morning, excited to pick up my new 33ft. trailer. It went great, it tows great. And I know my 3 pups are gonna be so happy with all this space. Ups and downs. Do you maybe have that valley fever thing? 🤒 Bless y'all!!
Ya know Luann.. I’m so glad you shared this comment and I’m delighted to know that many others will see and relate to this very same thing.. no, you are not crazy. Is your lifestyle choices at your age and relationship status unorthodox..??? Maybe… but what is normal?? I love this comment so much because of how transparent it really is. Many… and I mean MANY people (including myself) have thought “what have I done?” What you are doing is what you are passionate about. Change is difficult regardless of what that is… there may be a day where you hang up the rig keys, and get a place, or park your wheels in a more permanent way… but until then… live it up girl. Stay safe, love them dogs, and make memories that will last a lifetime and inspire others (maybe even your family) that life is too short to sit in a 12x12 room watching wheel of fortune and QVC ~ we 💜❤️💙 you!
When it stops being enjoyable & fun 🤩 it’s time to stop! Shouldn’t be complaining how bad your life is on a u-tube channel..your subscribers are getting lower & lower
Hey Tim! I was being open and honest with our audience that is quite diverse. We have channels that are more 10X our size that watch us, other creators with smaller numbers, super committed followers and others that are casual viewers… let me just be clear ~ we (or I) are not complaining about our life on YT. No way. We are honored to be where we are, we are growing, and we are making a positive splash to the world around us.. this video and its intention is reaching those that need to hear it. For that we are grateful. Recognizing the ups and downs of a YT life is only shedding light on the reality of this difficult work.. even the greatest of occupations has days that don’t measure up, and it’s ok to upfront about those feelings.
