It's great to see someone else getting excited about background papers we make ourselves. Sometimes they are just as good as designer papers that we get precious about cutting into. The card was lovely, and love the hack of cutting out a template to see which piece is best. Thank you for sharing your talent x
Gorgeous card! I was happy to see that you made this card using the black and gold background made in the Pigment Powder and Spray Starch video. Very elegant! Thank you.
Hi Chris. I just want to endorse Hayley’s comment and thank you for all the inspiration and encouragement you give to us card makers and how you make a dull day come alive by watching your videos and listening to your cheery voice. I wish you and your husband a very happy and healthy New Year and am looking forward to watching all your fantastic videos xx
This is such a stunning card and you didn't use much of the background. At this rate you will be able to make thousands of cards and still have some left over. That means we will get many more videos from the Queen of Cards. Thank you for sharing and have a good day.
What a beautiful looking background made with the spray starch, pigment powders and cling film, and the strip of it with the added pretty butterflies and the get welll message is just brilliant Chrissie..so wonderfully CAS. x
Chris thank you so much for your video today, I had some bad news about my son this week, although thankfully he is alive our family is forever changed 😢 As you can imagine I've been completely unmotivated and no interest in craft this week. I saw your video and your lovely soothing voice. I actually feel like I'm with a friend when you come on. You have motivated me to go into my craft room now, thank you . I just wanted you to know how much you impact and help people. I'm truly grateful for all these videos you do and share your experience it helps more than you know xx
I am so sorry to hear of your family's concerns at the moment and realise how difficult it must be for you. To think that you get some solace whilst watching my videos makes me most heartened. Long may you find some peace in your craft room. ❤️❤️ Take care.
I was watching in my kitchen cheering you on to pick the purple black and gold. So very elegant - just love it. More and more convinced to try some type of shimmer powder and enter this area of exploration. Thank you Chris.
That is stunning - exactly the piece I chose when you first looked at the sheet too! Its so beautiful. Thank you Christine for brightening a very dull and wet day here in Qld, Australia. Have a wonderful day. Hugs x
What a beautiful card. It's fun and definitely worth trying. Dear Christine, I wish you a healthy and creative New Year. I am and will remain your admirer and look forward to every new post from you. Kind regards from Germany from Conny
What a pretty get well card. Sending get well wishes to your husband, I saw on Facebook this morning that you’ve had to take him to the hospital. Hope he’s beginning to feel a bit better💕
Such a beautiful card… I think one of many favorites ! I definitely will try the spray starch method. Thank you so much Christine for sharing your wonderful talent for color..❤️😊
Beautiful card. I was hoping you would use that particular background for a card as the colour combinations are so unusual. I must try to give this a go❤❤❤
I always check Amazon because sometimes they have the best price even when things are on sale. Sometimes not. You have to be diligent but I'm not one for paying more than I need to pay. Recently one of the stores that used to have the absolute best prices just started raising them astronomically. I know there's a bit of inflation but when you go from the cheapest to the most expensive something is wrong. Another fantastic make and you hardly made a dent in that one background. I have a list of cards I want to make this month but I've been busy putting away all my new product. I have to stop looking at videos that have product I don't own. Luckily, lately, I've had most of things you've been using. I wouldn't miss one of your videos for anything.
Lovely background love the colours. I use all pieces of backgrounds I have made even the tiniest piece can make a gummiapan butterfly. 😅 it’s the extra touches, the cut edges embossed and the embossing for the panel, it all makes for a very finished and pleasing card.
I love all my background papers. They always get accolades from the recipient along with...."How did you do that?" One day I taught your tissue paper technique. Had so many ladies at the club and LOTS of papers drying in the Arizona sun. Took about 10 minutes! They all wanted butterflies, and we ended up with a huge kaleidoscope of butterflies!
Love the colours in this one, so pretty. I have yet to try the spray starch method but will definitely get some to give it a go. I particularly like how you always seem to find just the right spot to die cut.😊
When I saw you pick the black and gold, I thought, "Oh no." 22:36 But after watching you it is absolutely beautiful. I am definitely going to use your looking through diecuts tip, it really makes a difference. I have many backgrounds, haven't tried the spray starch yet as our local store doesn't have brusho but I may try starch with powdered mica. I just love all your simple cards.
Beautiful card Christine. I don't have the funds but make do with teardrop chalk pads and ordinary white cardstock and it works as it is soft colors which works great for wild flower, butterflies and frames.
I have heaps of videos on various background techniques, have you tried looking through the list of my videos? The spray starch one is linked at the end of the video of the card I made using it!
Hi Chrissie. I'd never have thought you could get such a fabulous card from the dark background. Amazing. I know you chat to us a lot on the videos, but I'm wondering if you talk to yourself (as i do) when you are alone in your craft area. 😅
That wasn't half a plate, it was a small square plate which Spellbinders produce, which can be used in the machine in several orientations to even out the wear!😊
I really like this design and was thinking to build up a store of Thank you and Get well cards. I could do this and each would be different, Thank You!!
Gorgeous backgrounds, a gorgeous card Christine! I have tried explaining to a friend that not all backgrounds are beautiful in the whole, but they are fab for using with die cutting images or letters. She still throws them in the trash and it drives me nuts. LOL Amazon is where I go for so much as well. Hugs, Brenda
Anohhef fab card, how do you do it. Hust a strip hear and a butterfly there and hey presto another master piece. Youre such an inspiration. Thanm you. x
I will be buying some spray starch on Monday!! I need to remember to do the scoring !! It gives such elegant look!! I don't have the wide score board so I have to figure out how get that look with my score board!!
Hello Cris this card is another one of your beautiful cards. Just wondering if you could mention the size of the card when you start or finish I have trouble with the perception on RU-vid and the my size never seems right to me. Greetings from Tasmania Australia❤
