It's always a good idea to test stitch new embroidery designs before stitching on your project. BUT what can you do with that drawer full of beautiful stitch outs? Geri will show you different ways to applique those test stitch outs to a background fabric to use in a quilt, tote bag, garment, etc.

Where did you get the babushka design that you used the turned-edge appliqué method? I am interested in acquiring a copy.

Sorry, but I don't remember. I pulled it from a sample bag that I've had for over 15 years and I couldn't find in my design stash

That was done with the outlining function in the IQ Designer (Babylock machines like the Destiny or Solaris) or My Design Center (Brother machines like the Dream Machine or Luminaire) built into the machine. It was part of a private class. I plan on doing a public video about it in the future.
