Darrel! I've been following your work since 2012. I practiced your technique and only yours for around 3 years until I got married and stopped drawing for a while due to being involved in more work and other things. 3 Years ago I decided to come back and trust me I had not forgotten any of the techniques I learned with you! I still had the touch :). And today my portraits draw that WOW! expression on people's faces and I love it. But what I love the most is being always hungry to come back to your channel, enjoy your lessons and go back to my portraits and make them look even better! I will always thank you for teaching me this beautiful art! Amongst all youtubers I chose you and man I don't regret it! Never will. Thank you so much Darrel! 🤝

I just thought I'd share a couple of tips to save a bit of money and make your pencils go further. 1. Use a short length of washi tape or masking tape over the end of your pencil would tighten the fit and stop the pencil from rattling about in the pencil extender. 2. Another tip I heard of, from colour pencil artists is that if you have a new pencil, (without a sharpened end,) you can use superglue to fix the flat ends together i.e. the end of the short pencil to a new one and continue to use it and be able to sharpen it down until it's very end, getting full use of every pencil, (you can even use a cheap school pencil to create a handle, for your quality graded pencil glued to the end, to have a longer pencil to hold) so there's practically no waste at all.
I use mine up till thry cant fit in a pencil lengthener any more. Adterall i paid for the whole pencil product bit just galf. Not using up a pencil all the way makes twice as expensive. And all artist quality pencils sre expensive.
