Paid house off in 6 years and currently 36. Im putting 16% of my funds each paycheck into my 457b, 10% into my Roth IRA, and some is taken automatically from pension. I wish I could enjoy my money more but keep just seeing dollars. I’m debating on doing a brokerage account later on

Impressive! You should definitely make sure you are setting aside money to enjoy life now too. The future is important but so is living an enjoyable life in the present.

Great video. I do most of these things in the time segments that you recommended. I do a budget and calculate my expenses and income every month. I also check all my accounts, net worth and credit score every month. I set some general goals every year. I don't usually think much about long term goals though so that was a good reminder. Being organized really does help you win with money!

If you take your salary and subtract all the fixed costs (including saving, costs for groceries etc.) then you have the amount you can spend guilt free 😎 Taking it a step further, you can divide the guilt-free-money by 30. Then you have a daily budget. I always found this to be enormously low!
