As a student in medical nutrition i do find this video informative and with some correct information, i would kindly like to point out the minor misconceptions. Dairy and Sugar(complex), should not be cut out of any "diet" they are vital in nutrition (glucose, lactose, fractose, etc) of course it is not the milk and sugar that is making the meal unhealthy it is the foods you accompany it with, (milk with sugar, chocolate, etc) and as far as correct sugars, stay away from simple sugars. Refined sugars, but not sugars all together. (Sugars are found in fruits and vegetables! ) also chewing is very important in digestion, chew thoroughly, to the consistency of apple sauce, this is because your food will then be more nutritional to yourself. Your body has more of a surface area to absorb nutrients, if you chew food for five seconds and swallow, as far as nutritional value, your wasting your time.

You ARE a God sent!!! I believe I suffer from low stomache acid as well! Mimi - just want to clarify the apple cider vinegar for some people. You are referring to unfiltered, organic, with "The Mother" in it, right? That is what I do, and plain cooking apple cider vinegar will not have the same health benefits and effects. Great video! Cheers!

a few months ago you made a video about hairloss and mentioned the importance of iron,I lost one third of my hair ( yes that much ) in a few weeks ,I knew something was wrong and saw a doctor,she was shocked to see the iron level in my body,she said normally it must be between 40-160,my leve was 3! there is nearly no iron left in my body that's what caused all my hair loss,I was so depressed at the point,I rarely eat meat cause I dislike it,I never eat liver etc,moreover I drink coffee every afternoon and I drink milk at night everyday and I found out that tea,coffee and milk not only does'n contain şron,but also it throws the existing iron from body and even prevents the iron you eat be absorbed by the body,nevertheless I am glad now cause fşnally I know why I lost most of my haiir,in a year it's gonna be ok said the doctor,I hope so,so ladies pay attention to your iron ok :)

It says no dairy, however I make cultured yogurt at home using raw unpasteurized milk (you can also buy cultured yogurt at a health food store) and this has really been the most help to me personally with digestion problems. After I started eating about a 1/2 - 1 cup of cultured yogurt after every meal (when I ate meat) I noticed no longer was I having heart burn or indigestion! The apple cider vinegar before meals is also helpful! It explains hundreds of research studies done on thousands of peoples diets over the past 40 years and explains the implications of what we eat on our health. Before reading it, I had no idea how dangerous dairy was for our bodies, highly recommend it!

Coconut oil is a Medium chain fatty acid making it different from other saturated fats. It is real good to also rub onto the nails each night and put in the hair an hour before showering.
All the tips that you gave will surely work. Indians generally follows some eating habits which coincides with your tips like water, coconut oil, not to eat on the go, chewing the foods and to pit our brain to think what do we eat. Great research Mimi. Love u so much.

I take a thyroid complex that contains zinc, B6, B12, manganese , selenium and a few other good things. I swear by coconut in all forms. Salmon is supposed to be awesome. I'm going to add that as well to my diet.
Beans, when ever my hair starts to look weepy, I start eating beans, bean shakes, bean soups, beans in just about everything, after about 2 weeks it starts to look healthy and begins to grow again, not recommended for girls who like the straight sleek look, because of my insationable bean consumption I have Jack and the Bean Stalk on top of my head, literally its a massive bush. Love your video's a lot of great and useful information keep up the good work.
With regards to water drinking, it's quite helpful to drink warm lemon water first thing in the morning before breakfast. It helps to 'clean you from the inside' :)

Наталья Топорова I used to have to same problem. If I only wash my hair with shampoo once after applying the mask, my hair look very oily and dirty, (even though it's not). So now I always wash my hair twice, or you could leave out the condition :)
Наталья Топорова I apply the coconut oil from mid- hair shaft down to the ends, avoiding my roots. I wrap my hair in a warm , damp towel (turban style) and leave the hair mask on until the towel is cool.Then I wash twice with a very mild shampoo (no sulfates). Hope that helps :)
I do eat lots of row nuts and it helps groing hair. I've tried eatung a handful of either walnuts or hazelnuts EVERYDAY for a month 2 years ago and my hair kinda explode! LOL! I got to stop cause it grow so much so fast I couldn't handle taking care of it properly. Row nuts plus row fruits everyday plus 2 litres of pure water did the miracle!
Im studying nutrition and had ALL of the symptoms of low stomach acid. Severe bloating etc and I'm an extremely healthy eater.. I even did two tests (baking soda and the betaine HCL test) and both tests showed that I had low stomach acid. I began taking HCL for one month, thinking my issue of this extreme bloating that just came about in 2013 was from low stomach acid... After trying to increase my acid my symptoms didn't go away so I got an endoscopy done which showed I have ulcers and chronic gastritis. Keep in mind I'm only 21.... So my advice is to be careful when diagnosing yourself with low stomach acid because it may worsen your symptoms and it might actually be the opposite, that you have TOO much acid.

You can make your own hazelnut butter. Just blend hazelnuts in blender, at first they will look like powder but keep blending. Eventually, your nut butter will begin to clump. Let the processor continue running until nut butter reaches desired consistency. I promise it will get creamy, but a little patience is involved. You can roast hazelnuts also if you prefer :)

I´ve been really depressed about feeling like this and doctors don´t seem to help with all the meds. Anyway, I just realized I´m doing all the wrong things and eating all the wrong foods thinking they are healthy for me (like grain, glutten, dairy, white sugar) It´s hard for me but I will try it, I wanna get better! Great video, although If consuming apple cider vinegar or lemon juice in water regularly, dentists recommend drinking it through a straw and brushing teeth well after in order to protect the enamel of teeth.
In Islam we are taught as a sunnah to eat fruit before a meal as it aids digestion. Eating something soft will get more stomach acid being produced. We are also taught in Islam to only eat to fill 1/3 of our stomach so not to the point of being full and bursting and also the same with water only drink and fill a 1/3 of Ur stomach. And leave the rest to air and space to breath. This is from islam and known for over 1400 years.

While I agree with everything you've said - heck I even have the same brand of coconut oil (Lucy Bee rules!) - I have to caution your viewers re: your vinegar advice. Apple cider vinegar is absolutely great for one's health, but should NOT be taken neat. Dilute in a mug of warm water, or even apple juice if you are new to it and cant stand the taste, or add honey to it. Mimi, I'd love to know what you have for breakfast, because that is where I struggle the most, to the point that I now usually skip breakfast because all my options seem unhealthy or tasteless.

Hey Mimi ... would like to share something from personal experience..... I have been consuming a handful of soaked peanuts ( I soak them in water overnight n consume the next day) and a small piece of fresh coconut (one can even grate it and add it to sprouts or salads too), n trust me I have noticed new hair on my scalp. No exaggeration whatsoever. Been doing this for past 1 n a half month n I can see a visible improvement in my hair. But ya ppl with weak digestion might wanna check with their doc before they wanna try this. Peanuts and coconut might not be gentle on everyone's digestion.
I’m confused on the heartburn is caused by low stomach acid??? It’s actually normal to high stomach acid going into the esophagus.... this is why they give patients anti-acids in the hospital for GERD. The anti-acids decrease the acid amount and relieve symptoms for that time....
Saturated fat is good for you? based on whose book? what are you talking about?! Saturated fat increase the level of your bad cholesterol. The only 2 beneficial fats are : Mono and poly-saturated not saturated fat . If a one wants to dye at early age with a cardiovascular disease or high cholesterol, sure try to eat the saturated fat and industrial made coconut oil as she does. The industrial made coconut oil should be only used externally . You want to stop the nail breakage or hair loss, then try to eat 'non roasted/non fried ' food + plus eat garlic, onion (specially) in your food.
No you DON'T need saturated fat ( it causes diabetes and cardiovascular diseases) , you need poly saturated or mono-saturated ( improves blood circulation, etc) Telling people you need saturated fat, is like , telling them you need to have sugar as a main dish!!! That what the saturated does, it would kill you.

Kale- raw kale juice has tremendously helped give my hair so much volume. I would make raw green juice every morning for breakfast and it has been amazing for my hair and nails :) Thank you mimi for your helpful suggestions, i did not know about hazelnut butter, no more nutella for me :)

And I read the article you had gotten some of your information from, and it is a bit misleading. From a medical point of view, heartburn is most likely caused by hyper-acidity (overproduction of stomach acid), obesity and stress. Smoking, alcohol and diet are also some factors. If a person has low stomach acid, that means don't produce enough acid, so the stomach flora is more basic than normal, it is because of the imbalance of bacteria, Helicobacter pylori infection. The treatment for that is not a certain diet, rather it is an antibiotic cure combined with the drug group called "proton pump inhibitors". These drugs reduce the stomach acid. What you say about the stomach acid helps to break down the proteins to amino acids is true. And it's correct that the digestion and stomach acid production just starts by the thought or smell of food. But to drink a glass of water before you eat your meal and a glass after your meal, actually helps with the digestion of the food! For me there has been a lot of things that has caused hair loss and what has helped against it. Some of the important causes of hair loss are stress, depression, anemia (low iron in blood), and not a complete healthy diet. The things that helped me a lot was of course to stress down, be happy, eat food with high Omega-3 fat (fish) and iron rich food (spinach). Like I said, I really enjoy watching your videos, because not only do you give nice advice, but you also spread joy. I just wanted to add some other facts from a medical point and let you know that not all articles are completely correct.
