Haven't done a freeze dried meal in a couple years since discovering Chef Corso's recipes and methods. A little bit of extra effort and preparation goes a long ways in elevating your meals on trail!
Rounded ziplocks! You never cease to amaze me Justin. Yup I got pretty sick of egg scramble after 18 days so I’m alternating with oatmeal this year. I also found I lost a lot of weight so thinking about taking some olive oil. Plus a little more salt. I should have it all figured out in a decade or two 😂
I used to date a lady that was a district supervisor for Mountain House. She would bring home so much product. If I wanted anything she would bring it home for me yo take on my trips. It was a nice perk 😊
The Russbe bags are a revelation. The problem with prepared meals like Mountain House is how few vegetarian and vegan offerings. I pretty much make all my own meals for trips starting months in advance.
@@ironpig701 , example a chunky monkey sandwich would be peanut butter, honey and sliced fresh banana on bread, but works in a roll, pita, croissant or tortillas. For the trail I do tortillas peanut butter or sunflower seed spread, honey, banana and sunflower seeds for a little crunch. (You could also add freeze-dried berries that have been soaked for a little bit.)
Trick is add less water then you think you need… then stir it up! If you still see dry spots add a bit more water until there’s nothing dry and stir again! Let sit and you won’t have a crunchy or soupy meal!
JMoneyGangster! YES! Shorts are the BIG deal right now. Keep 'em coming!! You've got enough material for 100s of these at least! Great way to grow your very wonderful channel right now. Just don't over saturate. . . that's what I see as a "fail" by some content producers.
