What to expect during a pacemaker checkup

I commented about my pacemaker several years ago and promised to keep you up to date on my situation. At the moment, I can't remember how long I have had my pacemaker, but I'm doing fine, now at 80 years old. I think I was 77 when it was installed. I just completed having cataract surgery for both of my eyes, and it turned out well. My right eye, done last, is now 2 1/2 weeks since the surgery. I'm due to see my heart surgeon for a check-up in October, but not expecting any problems. I haven't seen him since before COVID, but my pacemaker "phones home" with my daily data while I'm sleeping at night. I've been told that if they see any problems that they will phone me. In Feb 2000 I had triple bypass and a valve repair. I've collected seven stents in 1 and 2 stent visits before the pacemaker install, so 7 total heart surgeries since 2000, and still going. I'm glad that you are still doing good too.

Im 45 and I have sick sinus syndrome and it wont be long until i have a pacemaker too. Your videos bring me peace in knowing how well hour doing. I wish you could find time to make more videos, would like to know what issues if any you have encountered since having your pacemaker? God bless , thank you

At least you have who to talk to. My doctor doesn't tell me anything. Exercise? What kind of exercises? I'm thinking of going to a pool regularly... Nothing too stressful for the heart, just when I feel that I can do a bit of exercising. I just got for the third time COVID... I'm pretty ok, now. The first 2 days were kinda rough, but it just went away, more like a flu.

HI does your pacemaker have a defibulator? My DAD'S PACEMAKER DOES NOT have one Due to the KIND of problem WITH HIS HEART.. I WANT YOU to know that he is DOING SO GREAT! and I can tell he FEELS SO MUCH BETTER! My DAD JUST had his 83rd BIRTHDAY AUGUST 1st. He went into the doctor's office for his check up..HE'S ALSO MONITORED from the Doctors office.. and the company that specialized in his PACEMAKER MONITOR'S him from THEIR OFFICE THROUGH his CELL PHONE. VERY GOOD CARE ALL AROUND. I REMEMBERED what YOU TOLD ME when I GOT your advice a few months ago. THANK YOU SO MUCH! GOD-BLESS YOU 💕💕

I am glad to hear that you are doing well. I had my pacemaker checkup about a month ago. I had 100% charge left after a year - hmm, can it be accurate? Anyway, I got an echocardiogram today. I hope to hear some good news in a couple days.
