Apple is set to hold its first event of the year next Tuesday, and the focus will be on the iPad. The iPad Pro and iPad Air models are set to be updated, and Apple also plans to refresh some of its ‌iPad‌ accessories.

A sturdier frame for the Magic Keyboard? I’ve had mine since 2020, when it was first released, and it has not loosened one single bit at all. This thing is as rock-solid stable as the day it was bought.

I got mine for 2 years for the Air and its still works pretty well. But i want to buy a new one since when I clicked the buttons rapidly, it sometimes doesn’t render.

Agreed, my Magic Keyboard is solid! I would only buy a newer one if it’s lighter and can collapse to write on. The 2018 iPad Pro with the magic keyboard and a 16 inch MacBook Pro on top of other things is heavy.

if the keyboard is aluminum... just how heavy does it get? I have the 12.9 pro with magic keyboard and its really heavy. Can't imagine how much heavier an aluminum will get. They should really do a snap on keyboard similar to surface pro... much less bulk.

Do you think there's any possibility that Apple will announce a new Mac at the May 7 event? It would be very strange to debut a new M-series SoC in a non-Mac product, so if the iPad Pro receives the brand new M4 chip, Apple might unveil an M4 iPad Pro AND an M4 Mac (maybe a Mac Mini).

I wouldn’t bet on it personally it seems like this event is targeted at iPads only. We will most likely see some Mac stuff at WWDC.

@@EliezYT I think you're right. A video I watched last night suggested that we'll probably see the first batch of M4 Macs at WWDC, including an M4 Mac Mini (maybe even an M4 Pro Mini).

@@QUANTUMJOKER If the M4 Chip is better than a M2 Pro then yes it can be possible that it will release at that time. But unless they are skipping the M3 Ultra and going straight to the M4 Ultra I doubt we will see M4 silicon at least till the end of the year in fall/winter. It would make no sense to release a M3 Ultra chip alongside new M4 silicon that might outclass it like the M3 Max did to the M2 Ultra.

@@QUANTUMJOKER Based on the past with Apple it would make sense to just release a M3 Mac mini with a M3 Ultra Mac Studio/Mac Pro. I doubt the M4 will come this early unless Apple is rushing because of Qualcomm and if that is the case then yes it would make sense to change their timeline and patterns.

No point in adding super fast and powerful processors or fancy keyboards or better Colors. I want to run Xcode on this super powerful device. The real game changer will be running macOS apps on this device.

Honestly the only Apple product I am looking forward to this year is the new Apple Watch which is hopefully getting a significant redesign and better battery life but I know I probably shouldn’t get my hopes up.

It's a creators/artists event, the chances of releasing a 4th iPhone SE is extremely unlikely, also if there was a 4th "Special Edition" iPhone, I doubt they would keep calling it special

M4 could come out on the iPad, but I think it is more likely at WWDC on the Mac Mini and Mac Studio developer focused Macs.

I kinda am anticipating M4 for iPP. Why? As someone who has watched Apple since 2010, it makes sense from an evolutionary PoV; they’ve got M4, they want to start rolling it out, it would be a MAJOR step up for a device that has been neglected of late, and (particularly with the as you say and I concur very MacBook-esque Magic Keyboard we know is coming) I am now completely convinced that Apple envisions the iPP as a de facto replacement for the long-dead base MacBook…and M4 would cement that reality in everyone’s minds.

all about iPad Pro hahaha I'm done with iPad Pro it's really not worth it anymore.. too expensive and yet no big significant difference with air or regular iPad. hahaha in terms of usability this time waiting for the regular iPad much better and hopefully they will drop the price or else going to Samsung or other adroid tablet

I don't need a new iPad, have an iPad Pro 11" from 2017 and it works excellent. doesnt even have an M1 chip and it's still faster than I need. But am sure these updates will be GameChangers and the best iPad ever! Interesting, why do they need to state that "its the greatest iPad ever", of course it is, they are not going to release a new iPad Pro and say its almost as good as the last generation.
