Yep, it's dangerous. If you keep labelling regular conservatives as "far right". People will start to think _"Oh, well then maybe the far-right are reasonable."_ And we won't be able to easily distinguish them from the real far-right.
If the "far right" gaining momentum in the EU would mean a strong support for democratic institutions, social justice, strengthening internal security & strong support for NATO against the Russian annexations then there's nothing we need to worry about.
The conservatives will be leaning more on the center right, they are not far right, they are center right on immigration. An Australian type of immigration system is what I hope for.
That's the only solution, otherwise there will be a conflict in EU if the immigration issue is not resolved quickly. More and more Europeans are fed up with all these "doctors and engineers on boats" coming to EU. Seeing what kind of mayhem they cause in big cities, no wonder the tune has changed.
left wingers don't vote for them. There's your proof pretty much. If the greens were truly left they'd amass more supporters on the left, but their climate politics is centered on emission reductions and technological transformation as opposed to process centered policies that truly take into account the social dimension of "going green".
For me far left is communism and far right is fascism. So there is probably no such party in power rn. Though afd looks a bit sketchy for me. Immigration though should be tough.
yes in the sense that they are the farthest from the far-right position. (little support for/from authoritarian regimes and little interest in ethnic cleansing)
The german AFD just had a bunch of skandals about members saying racist, extremist and undemocratic stuff, so much that pther right parties dont want to have anything to do with them: If you vote parties like that and claim they arent far right, you are the problem.
Entitled to their beliefs? Sure. This doesn't mean we shouldn't call a spade "a spade". If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it is likely a duck.
She definitely supports the Israeli _G_ in Gaza and the war in Ukraine to the last Ukrainian. Not a single German boy was lost to the Russians. v/d Leyen could have been a Kommandant at Ravensbrück.
@@Jean-rg4sp The war in Ukraine is caused by Russia and no one else. If we stop supporting Ukraine's fight for freedom, safety and security, Russia will be next to our NATO borders. Furthermore there is no telling what the implications are if Russia wins. They are very focal on there own state television about restoring the Russian empire. Also China could be encouraged to invade Taiwan. For a durable peace it is vital that the Russian aggression is stopped.
@@arnoldsmit3289 Wrong, it is caused by NATO pushing up to Russia's border and then point blank refusing to even negotiate, that was their biggest mistake and it turned the majority of the world against NATO. We would never allow it to happen to the US or EU, if mexico joined a Russian/Chinese military alliance and formed a nuclear umbrella then yes US would invade before that would be allowed to happen. Why expect Russia or China to behave differently?
No, the right don’t actually care about immigrants, they just want the power to direct money to their friends and family in boardrooms and other company leaders. If they fixed the problem, there would be no way to manipulate the people to vote for them. You can confirm this by looking at the entire budget of EU and the single countries, and see how do they actually use the money of the people.
@@SaikoEU There is more "far left" in EU than there is "far right" and on top of it they are twisting the meaning of this terms as last WW2 was started by far left -> that is why they got that red color in their baner...
@@Bialy_1The Left in the European parliament only has 38 MEPs, while ID party has 69 MEPs, and in the near future the far right party of Germany and Hungary might join them too, not to forget that ECR and ID groups might join together into a single group of far right parties.
@@heshaeza *Ask France. As I know, Macron is very offended with Russia for the fact that Wagner drove the French occupation forces out of North Africa😂😂😂*
@@ronnie917 *Would you rather be a slave to the Americans? It's amazing how history can be distorted. After World War II, Russia advocated the unification of Germany under a neutral status, Russia in 1991 allowed Germany to unite, but the Germans still see Russia as an enemy. I wonder what the Americans would have done to the Germans if the Reich had killed 27 million Americans? I am sure that there would be no more than 10 million Germans today*
@@MsLUFCImmigration is an easy scapegoat and a losing issue for voters because the parties wishing to lean into it to appease them won't actually improve their lives.
It's said that history never repeats itself and the next generation learns lessons from the last. But that's not taking account of stupidity and ignorance.
Those who dont want low skilled immigration, from areas with vastly different values. I guess they are calling me far right, I just want order in Europe and skilled immigration
Only thing the right should refocus is not trying to dismantle the European system in favor of self national interests but create a Strong Europe with secure borders, value of European societies and the capability to maintain and defend itself. Europe is stronger and will only endure if united
Polish farmers just want bigger subsidies from the EU for less work and with less interference and regulations. And they vote to call themselves free market capitalists.
Crazy isn't it, already saying 'I'm moderate only I can control the truth, ignore the rest who dont agree with me'. Shades of democracy not winner takes all.
Which is NOT what she said. The European Parliament has space for all views but it is up to the more extreme parties to come up with policies that can convince the MAJORITY are worthwhile persuing. A 'good idea' is good whoever says it. IF all 27 member states vote FOR a plan then it is probably a good one with a chance of working. EVENTUALLY you have to be realistic, of which climate change affecting Europe AND the rest of the world is getting ever more important.
Godzilla must have a horrible dental problem. It was probably very distracting for the reporter who was discussing a topic wholly unrelated, while in earshot of Godzilla having oral surgery.
It would have been useful for the host to tell his audience what the problems with the former AfD leadership were, not just that there were problems. Was the head of the AfD caught taking bribes from Putin? Did they say the Stasi was good for Germany, did they say there were good Stasi? The more the people knows the better their decisions.
I think of _"far-right"_ as implying _"white-nationalism"_ and _"far-left"_ as implying _"communism"._ So I'd say there are also some far-left candidates.
Are the people moving to the far-right, or are our rulers moving to the far-left? Compare policies from 2004 and 2024 and perhaps that will give some perspective.
Ask Alice Bah Kunke for the Swedish greens they say 5 more wonderful years are coming : I guess she ment that she could shange the whole population of EU s situation and save the planet she said to swedish state television. Fore me they seems living on a other planet.
I don't get how anyone can consider themselves pro European (EU or not) and vote for someone who doesn't wholeheartedly support Ukraine. Pro or anti regulations, too much EU and all that, economic policies, agriculture, immigration etc etc I'm all for debating. These are very important issues. But Putin is such an existential threat that it should be a no brainer.
I hope you can talk more about the rise of far-left parties, the movement of center-left parties towards the far-left, and the dangers of far-left policies to Europe and the world. The obsession of the mainstream media with far-right parties without concerns for the bigger dangers of far-left puzzles me. We have several historical and recent examples to show the disastrous consequences of far-left, socialist, and communist policies and it is important to keep the public educated on the dangers of the far-left. We see the current impact of far-left, socialist, and communist policies in countries such as Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea. These are existing countries with clear leftwing and socialist policies and we can see how badly they are doing. In recent history, we saw how socialism and communism led to the death of millions of people under Stalin of USSR and Mao of China, denied human rights to millions, oppressed millions and generated wide spread poverty and suffering. The iron curtain was all about far-left, socialist and communist policies on large parts of Europe and we saw their disastrous consequences. The far-left and socialists should remind us of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, former USSR, Hugo Chavez, Nicolas Maduro, Kim Jong Un, Castro, and many others in recent history. The movement of many leftwing parties in the Western world towards more socialist and far-left policies seem more concerning than this constant obsession and demonization of far-right parties. Please bring some balance to the debate to help people make better decisions. Thanks
These self-righteous people's need to firstly describe what is meant by democracy in their minds? 😅. Isn't these people's like the EXTREME CENTRISTS 😅 with the audacity to call all other's Right or Left as EXTREME, really ?. We need to call these fellows as EXTREME CENTER😅, self proclaimers of righteousness 😮. Such hypocritical view's 😅
Going to be very interesting to see what happens to the climate change denying far right when the next 5 years bring unmitigated climate change related natural disasters... they are gonna have a hard time squaring that circle, likely they will collapse as a result pretty quickly. A lot of Europe's economy is based on tourism and agriculture, wave goodbye to that. I imagine a lot of gains were not because people supported far fight ideology but were protesting against the Ukraine madness destroying Europe from within. It was an insane idea to start a war with Russia straight after covid (maybe they wanted to distract from their failure in handling that catastrophe) and we are now doubling down on a failed policy simply to save face. Ukraine has never been in NATO or even had much diplomatic and economic relations with the west, so clearly we were perfectly safe leaving things as they were. We have destroyed our economies for literally no reason and Ukraine has been completely destroyed in every sense when it could have just remained neutral and peaceful (even if things weren't perfect admittedly, they were better than they are now)
Ukraine is one of the largest producers of grain and a transit country for oil and gas so by taking Ukraine Putin has a strannglehold on the world effectively, and it fits with his desire to restore centuries old Russian federation (or earlier) boundaries, simply a vanity project.
