Quite the opposite. Before a smaller team getting stuck in a group with two big teams were doomed to go out. Now they have a better chance as they just have to do better than the worst teams. The big teams were already consistently making it out of groups.
@@drSvensen No, not at all. Before a smaller team had to do wellin a 6 game group stage. Now they need to do well in that group stage and then will a play off. The big teams now geta play off to save them. This competition was designed to increase revenue. That is done by ensuring big teams stay in.
