As a tyranid lord we cannot wait to assimilate you back into the tyranids hive mind come back to us carmian we could use the skills you possess, on a real standpoint would you have any idea of a good army list of GSC TYRANID MIX??
@@Poisedanubis85 probably have GSC provide the battleline while tyranids provide the monsters. GSC have the speed (deep strike and infiltrate) but nids bring the punch
Tbh some of these detachments could’ve really used an X unit becomes battleline addition (looking at you biosurge one and rusted claw my beloved). Unless you play in tournaments, talk to your buddies about adding those sorts of things if you like a detachment. As long as everyone has fun, then tear down the oppressors and their dumb laws
@@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber I’m almost certain metamorphs are just going to be come battleline in general it doesn’t make sense for them not to be at this rate. And if not, shoot that’ll be soemthing for the playgroup to decide. Same with that stupid broodbrothers restriction to only their detachment
I'm holding out hope that some may still have that. The chaos cult in csm and nullmaiden in custodes both didn't mention their "x is battleline" in the spoiler article, and they got prosecutors/traitor guard
Love the quickness of your video releases. Your finger truly is on the pulse. Kinda makes sense for a vampire. I will be tipping for your efforts. Thank you.
Interestingly, the enhancement that lets you reroll cult ambush for battleline is a design that only works after the September dataslate, so we have proof that we're reaching books written after the edition launched!
Yes and No. The T'au Codex also had rules that only worked after the "Rules Commentary" made it so. It's impossible to tell how much was planned and how much is just them writing disfunctional Rules again, which they had to fix after the book was printed.
One thing Im super happy is coming with the codex is atlan's finally getting stealth. The change they went through in 10th from 9th made me really sad, but hey having stealth is great fun, and fingers crossed democharges come back
Second comment to say, thanks so much for your optimism! Ive seen some saying they are selling their cults and dooming and glooming. To me, that undermines(ha) the entire point of the Cult, and it was great to know that when your video popped up I would see someone looking for the best, so thanks!
I would love to see gsc get an army rule that makes sticky objectives explode for d6 when captured. It would be so cool to stress about wether I take a stickied point or not
Thanks for another great video. I am deeply curious to see what the other stratagems and enhancements are. That will do a lot to see what the power is like. But I will be having fun with no matter what happens.
At first I was a bit despair over losing the Brood Brothers, and I think I'd be really open to kitchen tablehammer letting GSC players still bring the 25% guard (they're typically not very optimal choices anyway), but all of these detatchments are giving me cheeky ideas for list building, and what more could you really ask for? I think something really cool from the guard detatchment is going to be catachan jungle fighters. Put a pop of them in a taurox for early board control, get them into melee, have their pistols shooting whatever they're fighting (or have a few lasguns in case they can't get into a scrap/in range for pistols), and you can drop off a 5-man demo aco group for that +1 to hit while shooting into the combat. It's probably not great, but it's neat to think about! It'd be a good excuse for the Nexos to be able to do that twice! Nexos + 5 DemoAcos + rockgrinder (maybe 10 w/ truck to give a character as many models as possible) coming in hot to blow up your catachans?
At first I was a bit disheartened about the codex but afte watching your video it doesn't seem too bad. I am going to have fun with gsc either way. Only I won't buy any astra militarum units again. If they kept the original 25% on all detachments I would have bought a lot of AM tanks and units. Definitely the biosanctic detachment is going to be my favorite against a buddy that plays Orks and hates abberants
Acolytes wouldn’t get a buff from Biosantic Broodsurge detachment rule as they aren’t an Aberrant, Biophagus or Purestrain unit. It says ‘In addition each time (such) a unit’ for the second part which implies they need to be one of the above or possess the keyword which they don’t. Correct me if I’m wrong please. Cheers
Man, even as Genestealers, the Ad Mech can't catch a break 😢 That's fine. I like the martyrdom and "love" of the Pauper Princes, so here's to hoping the Magus gets buffed.
They all seem to have fluff, but I'll need to see the rest in the codex. From what ive seen the elite melee 1 looks the strongest, aberrants and biophagus headed squads getting a realistic 6-7" charge looks great, but they all look usable
I want my Ymgarl genestealers back in the game. Their special rules were great, not just for play but also for thematic games. Zeno's under a nuclear reactor????
I was kinda disappointed because I'm at just over 2k points and none of the new detachments really fit what I have collectionwise. I have one set of Kasrkin for brood brothers, and i dont really want to fight for a Battleforce to use the melee focused detachment because I already play Melee heavy Blood Angels. But then I remembered we will still have the index detachment, and you just reminded me I have two Magus to make martyrs out of...
the only reason ive so far seen to not run jackals in squads of 10 is the re-deploy dilema; but with the circle already mathed out couldnt someone just 3d print a disc to put the jackals bases in to make sure they don't break the re-deploy rule? like warhammer fantasy unit bases
Oh a distraction from my implant deadlines thankyou grand patriark of the cultist counts Also will the assassination mission be in pariah nexus because if not that might be a big buff
It's not looking good champs. Rumours are they're also nerfing the ascension day detachment because it was OP right at the start of 10th and that's when this codex was written.
I find new rules amazingly boring. We used to have an amazing rule (probably the most interesting one in whole 40k) in form of Crossfire in 9th. Why was it interesting? Because it rewarded you for what you actually do in terms of tactics and how you play with benefits. It required you to pull of a chain of events, from marking down the opponent, to encircling it from two sides by being sneaky, deepstrikes and other tricks. You did not get FLAT BORING buff to something, you EARNED the buff you were getting. But they backed down on that. They backed down on that, and they backed down on different types of payed ambushes you've bought to your units, letting you to tinker their role in the match. I'm very disapointed in 10th in general, because literally all factions are getting castrated, however the fall is the most visible on factions, which were well done. I wish all factions in the game got Crossfire equivalent, where you are rewarded for how you play, opening the Warhammer 40k to real mindgames and to playing around hidden goals of each faction. Oh how I despise the fact, that castrated roster building doesn't even allow you to mix characters with whichever unit you see fit, having all sorts of straining limitations, not letting the game to even have hidden gems you can uncover as a player, experiment upon and theoritize on. Some new and good ideas for particular unit rules present in 10th are often pulled off in a stupid way, like if rule designers were not even playtesting the game, pulling stuff out of their butts. See Kellermorph. Fantastic idea for an overwatching character protecting your squads from the enemy... without an ability to join the unit, not having defensive stats, and having ability not letting enemy to target it unless they are in 12 inches, when the said unit has 12 inches of shooting range, not letting him to even use his rule to protect his brothers, because it will simply be taken out of the table by easily targeting the guy.
