I had mine done today and the only pain I felt was the needle for numbing but it was so minor, it felt like a dentist's mini needle. I took Tylenol one hour before so that helps. After I was given two shots of numbing, the doctor quickly started the needle core biopsy which sounded like a staple gun. I experienced no pain at all. I don't mind going through this over mammograms which are very painful for me even with Tylenol. If you have neck problems you'll have difficulty because you'll be in an awkward position for a while. I wish you all ladies for the most gentle and pain free experience, and for the very best outcome of your results.
@@Ms17796 Well I can now tell you from experience, I didn't feel a thing!! The nurse was kind and knowing how nervous I was she told me to look at her and she talked to me the whole time. In addition, the "needle" they use actually can release the numbing agent as it goes in! If you feel anything at all, the Dr. immediately releases more numbing stuff. It didn't take too long. Got a bandaide and no showering for a day. Healing was fine--a tad sore but that's all. I have a little scar but I scar easily. So--you got this!! Don't be like me and hype yourself up over it. Try to relax and just don't look and tell them if you feel anything! (Oh my results were good!) Good luck! Let me know how it goes! Hope it's the same as mine! ❤️
I just had 3 biopsies in one breast and the key to making it painless is to ask for more numbing medication. I had to ask for more on all three of them. Once I did I felt no pain at all. Doctors use their best judgement when delivering the dose of Lidocaine but they will not get it exactly right all the time. ASK FOR MORE!
Worst pain I've ever gone through in my life. Had to have 2 biopsies and I almost passed out on first one. They kept giving me more pain meds, but did not really work.
Its the worst pain I ever had in my life and I got 3 and 4 degree burns on my face and hands. I will never go back none of the pain medicine work for me. It left scar tissue where they put the rod and its been 1 year and it still bothers me. It was done close to a major vein.
My doctor says it shouldn't cause any problems whatsoever, and you don't have to mention it unless you want to. It's the size of a tiny cotton thread (at least mine is).
Yes too painful the anesthesia is not working in the deapest part i had the biopsy last friday and can feel in the middle of procedure the pain that’s why i told them that how hurt it is..they did it mant times like a hell to me
I had zero pain. They took a lot out I am really good with pain medicine working for me. Usually need a lower dose. Some people do need more time for it to take effect or might need more. Speak up right away if you feel pain!
