God, thanks for the straight forward, no nonsense video. Too many bandwagon homesteader and mommy-blogger videos out there to sort through.

Thanks for these videos, any idea about the Azola feeding?

Thank You for your question. From what I understand, it’s a fern grown in the Eastern Hemisphere primarily? It’s very high in crude protein and has many essential minerals. I believe it can be fed to all ruminating animals successfully

What about corn and oats?
@LedgemereHeritageFarm
@LedgemereHeritageFarm 3 года назад
Most definitely. I buy a mix grown 2 miles away at my sister’s farm. I feed out a little more in the cold to give them energy, a snack of it all summer to keep them coming to my voice, and a bit more in the Fall before Freezer Camp. I’ll talk more about it in Part 2. Thank You for your question!

Yes. I feed a corn/oat mixture locally grown and milled on my sister’s farm. Just be careful not to over feed corn as it can cause bloat. Thank You for watching 😊

Yes

But they need a good quality hay as well. Straw is only carbs

@@LedgemereHeritageFarm that's a no 😄, why they need hay? Getting fiber from the straw and energy+protein from the corn, getting all their vitamins from these + from the block and sun. So why hay? I'm interested to know.
