Mixed feelings on this. Harkens back to coal workers wanting to keep coal running in the world. Automation is the future, theres nothing we can do to stop it.
These companies are making multi billions in profits. They only look out for their shareholders and ignore the people who generate their wealth. Like most of these companies, they will cut labor cost by any means if it generates even a fraction of a percent of revenue to squeeze more profit for shareholders and to do stock buy backs. Companies need to pay people what they are worth with the profits and absolutely should suffer when they do not.
Its the materials coming into the international ports that is going to be affected. The workers that offload the container ships and load the trucks are the ones striking
