I think if you plan to immigrate to any country a first visit will always be a good idea. In 2002 Dec 25th our plane reached Sydney about 30 minutes early after a long haul flight from Los Angeles. The plane was waiting for the landing permission and was flying in large circles in Sydney and NSW. My wife was sitting by the window seat and observing the land below. All of sudden she exclaimed. I don't want to live here. The land is too dry. There are not too many trees or green here. At that time I believe Australia was going through a drought.

Sorry missed this comment. Yes local experience is highly regarded here but you will get ypur first job eventually. With Big 4 experience that's ahuge advantage too. You can try applying from India but you get a preferece if you have PR and and you are already in Aus 😊
