Choosing the right reel can be a hard task, especially for unexperienced anglers! And im not just talking about reel type, I`m talking about features that are a part of every reel.
Reels differ in size, which can go from tiny panfish reels to giant catfish ones. Gear ratio goes from slow to fast, and it affects fishing technique and lure selection, while ball bearings ensure smooth operation.
You shoud consider housing material too, particulary if fishing in saltwater! Think about the spool too, especialy the line capacity.
And of course there is drag. Good drag system is much more important han many beginners think!
