You are correct, you can feed those types of lettuce to a domesticated rabbit. But a wild rabbit on the other hand does not have lettuce readily available in the wild so their digestive systems are not used to digesting it. Collard greens and spinach is the best thing for them, per according my wildlife rehabilitation classes.
@@katherinehayward5848 If you know so much, why are you giving them so much sugar with all those strawberries? You trying to give your rabbits diabetes?
@@dontbestupid6664 if you actually watched the video I do believe I said they were strawberry tips and they only got them once a week. And there were 6 bunnies that was eating on the few tips that you see in the video. Have you had any wildlife training?
Yes they like my garden too! My dog helps with that though lol. My lab protects his mamas garden! These little guys nest and mom was killed and there was no way they could have made it. When I did this video we were close to setting them free. When I first got them they would fit in the palm of your hand.

Take it a vet or google search for a local wildlife rehabilitation. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do for it. You can ever call your local game warden, they would know what to do with it also.
There is so much wrong with this video. First, you kidnapped wild rabbits who would do 1 BILLION times better in the wild where you stole them from. Idc how small they were, if they can walk, they can fend for themselves. You got them in this tiny filthy coup with a pile of feces right next to them. You feeding them way to much sugar with all those strawberries. You know if you just let them go right now, you would be doing them a huge favor. If you want rabbits, you can literally go adopt 3 from your local shelter for $30.
And there is so much wrong with you. Your name fits you perfectly. These were tiny babies when their home was destroyed by a bulldozer and mama rabbit wad killed. These babies would have been swooped up by a hawk. Yet again, we did not keep these as pets. We set them free shortly after this video, and there is a video of that on my page also. You can see in the other video that when they are released they are big healthy rabbits. And as far as the size of the cage, you didn't see even half the cage in this video. And the feces? Have you actually ever seen how much rabbits poop on a daily basis much less 6 that use the same spot?
Wild animals wow. I ferl bad . you are sweet but not completely acurate. Im blessed to have been involved with rescue animals and i say "wild animals" (cringe) are more loyal when then specialty bread rabbits.
Yes they can but they are high in carbohydrates and should only be fed in small quantities (only half a carrot every other day). Use them more as a treat.
That's called the circle of life, they had a better chance of surviving at the size I set them free at than the size they were when I found them. And seeing how keeping a wild animal as a pet is against the law in Mississippi I think setting them free was the best thing.
