Another great video thanks, you’re incredibly good at presenting, I think I’ve said it before but your style of presentation is just so suited to the subject and the place you live, it’s so laid back that it keeps you captivated, I’ve just turned 46 and got back in to BMX last summer because of the videos you put out, I’m now on my second bike, I have jump bike and a race bike and it was because you inspired me at the grand old age of 45 back then to just do it, but it doesn’t end there, my 4 year old daughter then in turn became interested and so you’ve inspired a new generation, you should be incredibly proud of what you do it’s actually changing peoples lives, it’s made me feel younger and keeping me fit, it’s giving me and my daughter something to bond over and it’s keeping BMX alive and kicking, so I’d just like to say thanks and please never quit what you’re doing, it’s amazing…

Compared to channels with millions of subscribers and billions of views, this is such a minuscule channel with such a tiny audience. Sometimes, I will reach out to other BMX racers and BMX companies, and ask to collaborate with them on some video ideas, and they all ignore me. None of them even have the courtesy to reply. When videos only reach a small handful of viewers, and no one has the decency to even respond to my collaborative offers, it can seem futile and pointless to create this stuff. But comments like yours make it all worthwhile, and remind me that it's important. Thank you.

I remember old stock inverted stems mostly for Freestyle riding I always recommend 3 piece cranks over one piece cranks

‘Your brother’s nothing next to Bart Taylor.’ ‘He is too, and if you don’t take that back, I’m gonna punch your lights out!’ That was filmed in my neck of the woods, Cochrane Alberta and helltrack was my area of NW Calgary…the ORIGINAL helltrack was cowtown!!

Thanks for the brilliant video love the upgrades you have made on all your bikes, especially love your fat bike. I have really never known how to get the right seat height and I am definitely going to use your measurement tip now on my bikes. You have really inspired me to sort out my old BMX bike and enjoy riding it again. 👍
@LearnBMXRacing
@LearnBMXRacing Год назад
You're welcome. I'm glad the seat-height tip was helpful. There are so many videos about adjusting your seat and they all get weirdly complicated, so I figured a quick few seconds might help folks out. Thanks for watching.

Good stuff! I think if you got into the mechanics/ science of the person/bike interaction, you'd really help people understand how it helps one not only feel comfortable on the bike, but why exclusive parts can allow one to jump, manual, etc, easier. Perhaps making a manual rig and switching out bars, cranks, seat height, etc, and demo'ing how the differences can make the difference from one winning and quitting in frustration.

In one of my other videos, I explain a company named Retul makes a fitting rig for the road bike community, but we don't have such a machine in BMX. Your idea is a good one, and I appreciate your faith in my capabilities, but I don't really know enough about engineering to build a machine that will change the sport. 😄

Hey Buddy really appreciate the content and I enjoy it! Bike shop recommended me change bottom bracket on my kid bmx race bike. What do you think? What difference does it make.
@Rozenxz
@Rozenxz Год назад
The recommendation came when I change out his cranks. I said no but I kinda want to go back and take the recommendation I just don't know what the upgrade would do honestly. I new to bikes.
@LearnBMXRacing
@LearnBMXRacing Год назад
The bottom bracket is just the bearing and spindle which hold the cranks in place. They usually never need to be changed or replaced. They are nearly impossible to damage. But, different brands of cranks sometimes require different spindles. So, one explanation could be, your bike shop might not have any cranks compatible with the current bottom bracket, so that may be why they are trying to get you to change it.

after these upgrades you should upgrade the wheel set and fork but I don’t agree with cranks because 180mm are harder to learn to spin faster so even if you a adult it’s better to learn on 175mm or 170mm

Eric, i see you got the chase pro. How tall are you? Not sure if i should get the pro or pro XL. Thanks for all the good info.

@LearnBMXRacing Год назад
Looks like the sizing guide for Chase has changed. On a 2023 Chase Edge, I'd be better off on a Pro XL. Just use their sizing chart as a start. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy the videos.

I've only used plastic/composite pedals on my freestyle bike in the 80s. Nobody racing used them, for sure. But I've noticed that modern composites are of far better quality. Are there any adult racers using them these days that you know of?
@LearnBMXRacing
@LearnBMXRacing 6 месяцев назад
Pedal-slip is the big issue with plastic pedals. Even when a racer uses plastic/composite pedal, the pedal usually has metal pins/cleats. It's just way too easy to slip a pedal if your shoes aren't gripping into metal pins.
@roberthunter5119
@roberthunter5119 6 месяцев назад
@@LearnBMXRacing thanks for the response. Yeah, I definitely get that plastic/composite pedals are slippy. I wondered if those with the cleats were used in racing. I thought about picking up some Chesters, but feared they may not hold up to the rigors of racing.

Good day! What countries make bmx bikes of different brands, is it mainly Taiwan? Maybe something is produced in the USA, Germany, other countries, except for China and Taiwan? What do you know about it?
@LearnBMXRacing

Hey man i have a 2009 gt mach one pro and plan to swap in the same cranks that you have and i currently have the original american 3 peice bottom bracket do you think it would be possible if i went to a 2 peice exactly like yours?
@LearnBMXRacing
@LearnBMXRacing 11 месяцев назад
If your GT has an American bottom bracket, just make sure your new cranks are American bottom bracket compatible. You should be able to use 2-piece or 3-piece cranks. I'd suggest a spyder and chainring, so it will be easier to change your gearing. Good luck!
