Me, I just bought really short shorts at the store yesterday forgetting to come out of the dressing room to show my mom for her approval... now I feel bad wearing them cause I don’t think she approves of them but she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings
Me, I can kinda do whatever, but anytime I do or wear something they don’t like, they either dont talk and stare at me or make comments about it for the rest of my life:’)
my parents dont care what i wear but i like to dress more modestly jus bc lol (my definition of modest is basically anything but rly cropped tops or rly short shorts) everyones definition of modest is different [and thats ok!!] :)
here are a few tips to dress more modestly for parents, for yourself, and sometimes just to look formal! I use these for when I go to school and you can too! - wear cardigans! lol I can’t tell you how much cardigans saved me! they are so comfy and make my outfits look 10x more sleek and put together -JEAN JOGGERS 100000x- OK so does anyone hear just absolutely hate jeans! Jeans feel sticky and give you wedgies! If you have hate jeans as much as I do.. Jean joggers are a must have for you ☺️✨✨ they are basically elastic at the top and are like sweatpants with the texture and feel of jeans! they are a bit baggy but they are really nice in general! I can’t add a link but I got mine from Abercrombie :) crop tops.. but there is a twist- I know what you are thinking; ARE YOU INSANE?! crop tops with strict parents!? you must be out of your mind.. *(And I know some parents are strict but allow crop tops but this can also be used if u feel like the crop top is a bit on the shorter side :D)* crop tops always have really cute designs and look adorable! but strict parents hate it I have two tricks I found out 🥸 1. Wear camisoles! If you feel like when you lift your arm half of your torso will be revealed, try camisoles! They really help if you are performing in any physical activity while wearing one. 2. Order a size up from your size! Trying to get that cute pattern but it’s a crop top that is super short? Ordering a size up a notch can really save the day. those are all the tips and tricks for now :) I hope this helped coming from someone with strict parents! stay safe 🥰✨
My mom chooses my outfits still!! I know it might sound really bad. I really wanna choose my outfit for school but she has to approve everything I wear. She wants me to dress her style not mine. My style was like retro 90s Vibe! My mom wants to dress me in like a floral print, or pink stuff. I’m not allowed to wear shorts that are short. I’m only allowed to wear biker shorts!!! I know it might sound bad please don’t judge though!
I'm a guy and when i wrote (what to wear with....) I saw in the search: (with strict parents). So i opened it and went to the comments... So weird and stupid to see many (Females) can't wear what they like because their parents, school or society won't accept them as they are... Sadly this doesn't happen only in clothes... To all the Females: as a guy... I'm sorry... I can do nothing more than being sorry for this world...
No crop tops (not even slightly short only shorts just above my knees or to where the tippy tips of my fingers touch (same goes with skirts) no ripped jeans. ABSOLUTELY NO tube tops. Swimsuits have to cover my ENTIRE butt and basically everything else. No tank tops. Athletic leggings are prohibited and leggings in general.Oversized stuff is the only stuff I can wear. And yes...in the summer too. 😭😭😭
the clothes my mom chooses for me looks horrible tbh, but when I tell her I like something, she says I'll look like a tomboy- anyhow my dad doesn't care what I wear cuz I myself hate short/cropped outfits.
My rules 😭: no black, no ripped jeans, no shorts, no crop tops, no turtlenecks, no overly baggy pants, no slits in dresses, all pant below the knees, no straps, no short sleeves (midway is fine), mom and dad always chooses what I wear, no see through, no overly baggy sweat shirts, no leggings ( only if shirt goes to the mid-thigh), and no chunky shoes. Help! What do I even wear? 😂
the only problem is these clothes are for countries that have cold weather but my country had hot weather , and my mom dont want me to wear like that they want me to dress like my 7 year old self ( shirt with skinny jeans , hello kitty pants , cartoon shirts ) and im growing up ( im 14 ) i want to explore my style is but im afraid to ask them 😕
Just take a deep breath, and act professional. No yelling, even if they are. Slowly ease into what you want, and push it up a notch every few months. You can do it!
My moms dress code NO CROP TOPS WHATSOEVER skirts have to be 3 inches above knee or lower or with leggings Same applies with shorts tho my moms doesn’t like me wearing leggings under shorts No big holes in ripped jeans And that’s basically it lol

I mean most of them are cute.. but I can’t imagine them one myself what I find myself doing while watching this is finding my favorite pieces of clothing and trying my best to pair it with something else in the video that I think would also look good
@@DefineMorena I don't know, modest with a mix of soft and dramatic. I like dark colors and pale colors, I like lace- hems, sleeves, just embroidered lace in what I wear, I love dramatic sleeves, sweaters, straight-leg jeans, t-shirts, maxi dresses, and combat boots and mary janes and sneakers. I guess I like some of these but in a more modest way.

I understand that but like not to this point where u cant tuck the shirts in like- my parents are strict too they wont let me wear tank tops, cropped tops, ripped Jean's, short shorts or short skirts u may relate to those but I wear a shirt and I tuck it in with my blue jeans but ur parents are like wayyyyy too strict ( no offense or anything like that)
