I think sainz and Russell would be a great team. Sainz is a consistent driver and scores in almost every race. I think the car might hold him back a lil but he can make it good
Sainz isn't looking at 2026 at all. The regulations are already set and the only real thing that is going to change, in all reality, is a new manufacturer is joining the grid. The real fights on the grid are going to start in 2028. Look, Sainz is a very good driver and has some mad skills. He's been stuck behind Leclerc for way too long. Leclerc is on his last go round if he doesn't start turning that team around. That is why Vasseur brought in Hamilton. Hamilton pushes for performance and gives his critique without bias or forethought. Vasseur needs that. Leclerc is a great driver and uses what he's given and makes the most out of it. The problem comes when its time to make the car better and doesn't know what input to give to engineers to build a faster car, and Hamilton does. Sainz should not settle but take the best offer thats on the table and move on. The longer he drags this out, the less teams are gonna want to deal with him on his next contract.
Sainz is doing better than leclerc , also Ferrari are not going to change even if Lewis goes. Already a 4 time world champion lost championship because of Ferrari upgrades that are actually downgrades , this happens in every season for Ferrari. Put Alonso or Lewis they are not going to change
Carlos deserves to have competitive seat and Mercedes would be the one. Mercedes will benefit more from signing Carlos, than he will benefit from signing with Mercedes. I don’t really understand what Totto is wanting for, there is no better option on the grid right now.
For me that Sainz move the Mercedes AMG F1 team i would be very so excited to him see him in the mercedes seat contract with toto it next year f1 season.

If I'm Sainz I'm not signing to Mercedes in a 2 year deal. 2 years minimum. You are not going to use me as a stop gap for Kimi. I'm not a scrub. He basically matched every teammate he has been with.
I think Carlos is better than George Offering him a 1 year deal is disrespectful. I know Toto wants his guy on the team. Sign Kimi already, this waiting is not good for anyone especially Sainz. Give him the 2 year minimum you and will have no worries of constructor points

Optimally, it would be good for Antonelli to spend a year or two at Williams, if James Vowles is up for another rookie, and sign Carlos to a 2-year contract with Mercedes. No one knows what might open up in two years. He may be glad to get out of Mercedes at that point, and join Audi, The fact is, none of us have a crystal ball and Carlos should sign the best deal he can get after the summer break and just roll with it. If it's security he's seeking, he'll never get it as a "good - but not great" F1 driver. I'm sure he feels he's good enough and has put in the time to deserve a front team drive, but he had one, and they cast him off for a 7-time champion. Now, if he was a proven multiple world champion, perhaps, he could hold out for something better. Sorry Carlos, you just aren't that guy. Pick something - soon!

Sainz should take the Mercedes offer unless Max says yes to 2026 move to them,. Max is who Mercedes wants and they will do everything within their powers to get him.

Sainz is average at best. Mercedes is out of Valuable options. Alonso apparently said no, n they can't get max. They should have paid F1 GOAT what he deserves n give him the basic ambassador role Mercedes don't value LH#44 and therefore lose out .
