Think we would be nuts to not take Werner for the price even if we bring someone else in. A lot of people getting on Kulu's back, people forgetting the shift he put in after the suspensions and injuries after that Chelsea game.
The shift that was not good enough, and the price you mentioned is 165k a week in wage. The short answer is no, longer answer is you have lost sight of quality we need.
The simple fact about Kulu that he does not fit in with the style of Ange's attacking football, Ange has always been very clear that he wants his WIDE players to play WIDE, Kulu cuts back into the centre too many times and does do this most of the time does he?
@@nevillemignot1681 He has always said his preferred is Cam have him and Maddison fighting for that position. Bring in a RW, think a lot of people are saying to sell 7/8 players and bring in the same amount in and that's just not going to happen in one summer.
Talking about Solomon only doing well against Burnley and Sheffield United, tbh we do better against top teams anyway so having players who are actually good against the lower teams seems valuable to me atm
We cannot sell the only Striker we have in Richarlison, he is not perfect, but he is OK and has proven this, so we need to keep him for sure and buy one, and then next summer to see with Veliz, Scarlet, Lankshear, Bell and so on with Richarlison and the new one which 2-3 to keep.
We're not challenging unless we signed two world class wingers and two world class midfielders. Moreover, 4 of the best squad player available in the market.
No need for werner. Just have som there and play richarlison and give Veliz some games. Johnson can also play either side. Johnson really should be starting games
There is a lot of hype surrounding the summer transfer window. Daniel Levy will always be Daniel Levy; he will not change his modus operandi. We may acquire one good player, but he tends to supplement the team with two or three average players. It's the same old Nothing but shattered dreams. 😞
son is past it, he is a very average winger now and is not and never will be a centre forward, the guy is never in the box nothing sticks to him and he just runs into anyone but the box, people need to stop this sentimental rubbish and admit son needs to go as well, with Romero becoming the captain. The majority of the players spoken about will end up still being here or only out on loan, you need clubs to want these players and it is clear no one does, so expect tons of loans out in the summer
Don’t agree with Ange seeing Son as our number 9. Our 2 most crucial transfers we need are a number 6 and number 9. The difference son made when he was wide against Liverpool in them last 20 minutes shows he’s a winger
You're half right. While one can make an argument that Son makes a better winger than a striker, Son plays best when he cuts inside as a winger but Ange needs the traditional winger that hugs the line. Sonny's days as that winger who beats his men with his dribble from wide is long gone. What Sonny does best and what Ange needs aren't the same.
@@cvg1198 I agree with this tbf but I still feel like we need a hold up number 9, somebody to bring others into the game. Toney would be perfect for us in my opinion. Can never see us signing him though
The rebuild begin can only begin successively after the removal of our none owner chairman who has personally chosen the majority of incoming players to the club during the 23-season Enic era. This has resulted in Levy having the worst trophy per season percentage stats of any THFC chairman since World War Two...
I think deki becomes a kind of utility player, good enough to play in a few positions so can come in for injured players, or for resting players, and gives us that option of playing differently to how we normally do if we need to change things up occasionally.
If we are going to hang onto players like Deki and Bissouma because they had 10 good games a year or so ago then we will never close that gap between us and top 2.
agreed with everything beside Soloman, politics aside, we have only watched him play a few games during honeymoon, and those games he was useful somehow, can observe for another season, but agree that he'll likely be a let down
The gap will never close with these owners. The clubs that compete for titles sign the best players. Spurs do not do that. We'll always be around 4th. Maybe higher if a couple of the other big clubs have poor seasons.
Timo is quite often our most effective attacker. For 15M. We'll keep everyone else for 5 times that amount but not him? He's got super sub written all over him
Guys I don't rate Brennan Johnson. I don't think you guys understand how much we need killers like Nico Williams & Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli with Son upfront. Brennan is not good enough he came there to play with fear & for us having to understand how young he is, meanwhile Lamine is not so fearful. Diaz would've been a great signing. We need top signings not these compromising players we had to bare with coz of Lewy. Lastly Lewy out if he aint doing anything bout it
The most 3 important focus players we need this transfer window is a striker, a creative midfielder and a number 6. We need more potebntcy and creativity up front as we keep looking impotent
You're right, but they're talking about building a squad for a title challenge, so yes, we probably do need a ridiculous budget to upgrade the squad for a title charge. We all know Spurs won't invest what's needed so I don't know why Ange is talking about title challenges. He needs to stop talking so much.
Exactly, Spurs should be looking to bring a few kids through & get the best young players they can from the domestic leagues, with just one or two big money players.
These delusion brothers are so clownish . Firstly aim for a league cup or a fa cup . 2 troohies since 1991 and you wanna aim for the league title directly. It is an incremental processv
Yes, Kulu has a lot of quality. Unfortunately that doesn't include getting to the line (or close) and hitting low crosses; or getting to finishing position in the box when a cross is whipped in by the other winger.
Not a Tottenham fan but love the channel. For a realistic top 4 run you need about 6 quality players in and with Levy that’s at least 3 transfer windows.
Homegrown is vital and he firs profile he and Calafiori would be my defenses buys , Porro/Festy Romero/Dragusin VDV/Calafiori Udogie/Skipp Williams/Son Toney/Richi Johnson/Solomon Sarr/Bissouma Ederson/Benten Bergvall/Madders/Kulu Vic Austin Kelley - 8 homegrown 4 Club raised plus u21s. Seriously sell the rest and that 24 member squd can compete and win
Even if money were available, top players like CL football, like top proven managers, like trophies... Do you really trust "Ange Ball" enough to spend huge amounts on "his" players. Celtic dominance in SPL is not enough of a "track record" for me
Spurs have been spending a net spend over £100m a season the last couple of years & that's after lockdown cost the club a lot of money. Spurs are a very wealthy club, there was a time when the stadium was being built & the finance sorted that they didn't spend but in general they have invested in the squad, it's not how much money, it's that the money has been spent poorly, like Ndombele for £62m, Sanchez for £40m, Richarlison was a bit too much at about £60m. I think Spurs are still one of the top 10 richest clubs in the world, they just need to spend money more wisely.
@@jimmynich4791no only wisely but more on the amount and of quality. Yes, they have brought bad players but all clubs have, you have to move on and keep on getting good players, or you will going back to deadwood and win nothing.
Academy? Like Santiago, Donley, Lankshear, Nile John, Abbott, Dorrington, Soonsup-Bell or Devine? Scarlett out on loan again or giving him the chance of a full season?
We will not sell so many players, we will keep Skipp if only for the HG,Austin also for 3-th GK as he is HG, Davies and Richarlison also will stay.If we get 1 striker, 1/2 wing, a number 6 and one more defender will be good. I do not expect more then this.
"What Tottenham NEED To Challenge For The Premier League!" Is this a joke or what? This is why Spurs will never be a big club but only want to be mini Arsenal. Why not have a title that says "What Tottenham NEED To Win The Premier League!" Firstly, Tottenham challenging for the title? Hahahaha. It seems Arsenal is their only reason for existence, years ago, their goal was top 4 because Wenger only chased top 4, now their goal is to challenge for the league because Arsenal is doing that.
By my reckoning you’re looking at us spending between 350 and 400 million. That. Isn’t. Happening. It reminds me of last season where Naglesmann was going to come and then Slot, and we ended up with an Australian. Also half the players you talk about are destined for clubs who have champions league football. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but there now is a very strong possibility we only get Conference league football, which is not exactly going to have players falling over themselves to join.
Do you reckon Kulu can play in CDM? He is or was one the best in distance covered and has great interception. We could change his game to be better at tackling. He can hold the ball well and can drive forward. I don't think he's a winger or a CAM. He seems more like a CM/CDM.
I don't feel good about the constant rubbishing of our players. Not referring specifically to you guys, but generally. There's a core of good young talent there. They are the same players who were winners at the start of the season. I keep reading "Back Ange". Well, what about backing the players? Doesn't a good coach make good players better? Kane's lucky he got away.
Sonny doesn't make Striker runs... I hope we go a different direction at Striker. Someone who makes great striking runs and can win in the air... I don't remember the last time I've even seen Son challenge for a header in the box.
Unpopular opinion: As it is as of today, Lukas Bergvall is already a better and more complete player than James Maddison! Suck on that one for a day or two.
This isn't Football Manager. Just to ship out the dead woods will take Levy at least 2-3 years! And without getting these deadwood out, we can't get anyone in.
I think Kulu needs to spend many hours practicing crosses. His crossing ability is very poor for a professional, heck I have seen wingers in the lower leagues cross better than Kulu. Just sayin.
Bissouma, royal, gil, lo celso, ndombele, sessegnon, reguilon, spence, tanganga, rodon, richarilson, dier get rid of all of these players immediately richarilson if he stays it's as a backup
I think it's a mistake to take Richarlison off the table. He's shown he can score that we all wanted. A striker needs the ball in order to score and in fairness often the wingers haven't produced the crosses to Richarlisons competent head that would've increased his goal tally. Werner was good at getting the ball across goal unlike Son so we'll lose that if Werner goes. We've missed players that go for long shots and succeed this year.
Kulu is a top shelf player who is very experienced but still very young. He is never the reason Spurs lose and can make a difference as the team improves.
Where is levy going to get all this money from ? No one wants these deadwood players and you know he needs to sell to buy! He won't let them go for nothing so how does your logic work? The players you want to keep aren't good enough and the managers tactics are naive, so please tell me how we are going to overtake city and arsenal?
Whats the obsession with "hes young"? By the time our players get into their prime, Ange will be gone and bigger clubs will poach our better players like VDV and Romero and Son will be retired (unless we're planning to sell every one over 30).
I think you're right, while we want mostly young players with lots of potential who can handle the physical side of things, I think some experience, like an experienced holding midfielder would be good, maybe on the wings as well.
I agree with this. Oil money buys a lot and that means every decade we'll have small windows when we can compete against them for maybe a season or two. We gotta shoot for the trophy before Son retires and the likes of VDV and Romero move onto something bigger and better for their careers.
@jimmynich4791 exactly my point. We don't need a bunch of young players in the front line. We have Kulu and Johnson barely contributing. Richy is injury prone. Son is declining. We sold Kane for 100m. Surly they can bring in someone more proven to score goals that's not a kid?
@sof5930 They could & I'm sick of reading comments about Spurs having no money or not spending money, they're 8th or 9th richest club in the world & they've a net spend over £100m in recent seasons. Sell Hojbjerg, Lo Celso & Ndombele, even if it's around £10m each, bring in one quality holding midfielder, a proper number 6. I don't know why left footed Kulusevski hasn't played on the left where he wouldn't be cutting in & passing backwards all the time. I think as well unless the scouts are really convinced in a foreign based player then they should be looking to recruit from domestic leagues as much as possible, not so much English players but players with experience of the game over here.
