That one should be a good fit now you got choice to find 5 bottom plow 7-9 tooth chisel plow no problem pulling them. Neighbor had a 756 Diesel and 826 Diesel both were good work horses.
Congratulations on the "new" tractor. Amazing that a 54 year old tractor is better than the junk made today. Wish I still had the '77 international 574 we had as a kid and the '74 GMC. I got rid of my money pit 2018 Ford pickup and searched and finally got an old school Dodge. Going to do same thing with my tractor. No preprogrammed to fail electronics. All analog is the way to go.
Every issue this tractor has and could have in the future can be fixed THERE and not at a dealer or by a high tech computer mechanic. You can inframe completely rebuild that motor with out and major tools. SIMPLE TRACTOR, SIMPLE FARMING
@@FarmallFanatic. I’m sure you can. I was there at the dealership when the 826 arrived. It was pre sold to a well known IH family and from the first 50 hours it had problems. Another three arrived the following month and they all had the same issues. In the end they were swapped out with 856’s or larger machines. I don’t know if all dealers were so customer supportive or IH sponsored the exchange but all the 826’s (from that dealer) were returned to the factory. I think I remember my father calling them the German IH engine. Don’t get me wrong I’m pro IH more than anyone. I just remember these issues and It was a first to see such serious problems with a new model. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!
Excellent video Gino :) also congratulations on Farmall 826 1970 tractor buy also get headlights fix up to be working to repair list! Also Desiel motor nice have does that tractor have block heater to if not get one installed save on Electrical especially starter and Alternator recharge battery too ! Also would do after get Fuel Injection pump Gino add 200 ml of GM Automatic Transmission fluid type 2 or 3 in fuel tank help clean fuel tank also whole engine! Even Fuel Injection and carb cleaner bottle in too fuel included each month ! When super cold temperatures Gasoline Antifreeze bottle each month save from gel fuel up !
Congradulations on the new toy, I cant wait to see the videos on the 826. Youll have to get some implements for her now, one of those row 7000 corn planters.
The 826 with the German 358 diesel, are very good tractors. we bought ours new in August 1971, still on the farm. I am amused at the commit that the injection pumps were poor quilty and leaked alot. In what world, can you compare a injection pump made in america by international, with a Bosch injection pump made in the same time frame. Yes, the 826 had a Bosch injection pump.
Seeing auction prices this spring, I think you did pretty good. Will you be looking for implements for it? Moldboard plow? disc? A 6 row narrow corn planter would be right at home behind this tractor.
The so called choke lever cuts the fuel back when starting in the cold. Itis also the fuel shut off only the 756 with the German Diesel Engine. It is faster to start on either, if you don't plug in the electric block heater.
I'm glad that you pulled the trigger on the international 826 because I thought that had potential, and the 826 is an outstanding tractor you bought a great tractor 👍👍👍
Yup, this is the one I thought, you would get. I don't know a lot about these tractors. But I remember it looked clean with only a few minor things. It also, sounded good on the cold start. Seemed like an honest rig. Good for you
You know i was watching this tractor like a hawk on market place waiting to see it say sold and boy i wasn't sure if you bought it or not but congrats can't wait to see it hooked up to a nice set of 4 bottoms
I have a 826 Hydro. Good tractor. The engine is a German diesel. The fuel pump has a start position when pulled 2/3 out with the throttle in the idle position. You keep it in that position for a few seconds and then release it and increase the throttle setting after the engine starts. To stop the engine you put the throttle into idle position and pull the "choke " completely out. Smaller iH tractors of that vintage have German diesel engine fuel pumps also. Such as IH454s
Call the addition to your shed a lean two . Nice 826 ! We have a 766, 966, 1066, 1086 and a 1946 H Farmall . The H was bought after WW 2 . The dealer couldn’t get one because of the war shortage so Grandad bought a brand new one from the Black market. Cost him more but, he needed a tractor and we run Red !
I figured that was the tractor all along. I don't know much about the demonstrators (never seen one in person) so I looked at others online and sure enough that casting is painted black. I thought they were red as the nose castings are red on them. I bet you'll find that that is a gold demonstrator. The 826 is a 756 with a longer stroked engine. I figured an 826 would be a good tractor for you for a while. Asking 06 or 56 series something that's in-between was a neat choice. Although the 826 and 1026 are technically 56 series.
NICE I like it never ran 826 but have bunch hours on 85y6 when they were new in early 70s you will appreciate that draw bar when you hook up to pull type piece of equipment just back up a little short pull pin pull draw bar out put pin back in holeand drop the hitch pin in and then Don't FORGET TO BACK UP AND LET THE PIN FALL BACK IN 😊 speaking from experience makes hooking up by ones self so much easier
Looks like you bought a nice one. While I'm definitely an Oliver guy, I have to admit that IH's are good, sturdy-looking tractors. I know the feeling of bringing home a purchase of a "new" tractor for the collection. Enjoy and I'll be interested to see what you do to it.
Nice machine! Those, you don't see around here very much at all. It's been fun following along on your quest for massive red power. Well done! The Cubby hang looks great
Congrats FF, on a big dog on the farm! My buddy has an 826. It is a beast. He runs a New Holland BR750 round baler and it does a great job! 1000 pound bales all day long. Great purchase!
I am pretty sure the round muffler is correct for the 826. The 1026 had the oval muffler but they are a 3.75" pipe and the 826 is 3" The 856s and 756s use the same muffler as the 826
I got me a 1966 IH 706 gasser coming in a couple weeks. Not as big as these, but bigger non the less. Need it for the 9' haybine and baler, itll be a good match. Minus the Massey 1100, not mine and not running, this thing will be a giant on the farm.
Hi I have an opportunity to buy a international 300 in your opinion are they a good tractor and what are they worth in good condition? Thankyou for your time
Probably a biased answer when I say yes, but they're a good 2 bottom tractor. I would easily give three thousand for 1 in good condition and maybe more for a great condition machine
Congratulations what a nice tractor! That one somebody loved and took good care of thru its life . Now it’s up to YOU and it’s not BLUE lol oh by the way the Steelers Wheel reference was great as well 👍🇺🇸
Congratulations FF, I would be smiling from ear to ear watching your friend unloading the 826 at my house. I love the pictures when you’re looking down that long hood🤗🤗 I hope you still keep making videos and going to to auctions with big red Farmalls. But I can understand if you’re going to play with the 826 for a while, I would. Love your videos and how is it you know all about different auctions. H G 826 year Pete
That is a smooth running 826, and the dashboard is red on that tractor, and she sounds really great. I'm a red power fan and red man. I got a 122 cub cadet garden tractor
This is so badass. I'm scouring the weeds of Idaho and pondering making an cheap offer on an 826 but its been out in the rain for years.. i dont know diesels but I'm trying to learn. Save those old 826 parts your pulling, those might be like gold to some of us out west with less parts to pick from!!
Love the classic internationals. I’m a Massey Ferguson guy. I have a beautifully restored 1150V8. My all time favourite tractor. I have a B275 and a 584 international. Great video. I know how you felt seeing it coming up your driveway. 👍🇨🇦
You'll have a good tractor for your size operation.... Ya get what you need....You don't need a 150 HP tractor... I think you made a great purchase... I said it before, Nice tractor...
I just happened to be reconditioning my 544 PTO lever assembly and noticed your 826 looks like the PTO linkage has two rods welded together. Is this correct?
I watched one of your videos where you brought home a Red 1066 or 1076 or something. You took the muffler off and looked at the connection. You seemed glad to have it on your farm. I would like to see a vid after it gets ready to work. It was a snazzy diese100 some h power. Been enjoying your videos I just retired. GodBless
Congratulations FF, pulled the ole rope-a-dope on us did ya😂very cool, I’m sure your face said it all when you drove her on your place for the first time👍🏻 God Bless 💥🇺🇸💥
Hi man I think I have a toy tractor 826 in my closet if you think you might be interested in it let me know. The last time I saw it it was in good shape I don't think my kids got a hold of it I tried to keep my toys away from them. If you think you might be interested let me know and we can figure it out. I know it is around here somewhere. Anyway congratulations one your purchase
Good lookin 826. Bought a real nice lookin Farmall 504 at Red Power auction, didnt notice all the blow by coming out the vent tube but it runs real nice after it warms up. Hardest starting and cold natured tractor I own.
Look under hood. Generally be a hint of gold paint there. I have a cousin that has a gold demo . 826. He is going to have it put back to demo. The dealer painted it originally back to all red after he bought it!!! I was in high school and remember it well when he tried it out when it was gold demonstrator!!! Prolly worth a good money if he was to sell !!
I haven’t read through the comments to see if anyone else commented on the set of remotes on the front of the deck. My neighbor bought a 856 new in 1970 and that’s sheer he plugged the hoses in to raise his front Mount cultivator
That would be great if it turns out to be a gold!! It should have been gold under the hood too. Any idea on the true hours? Is there a book with demonstrator numbers and dealers delivered to? A true piece of history either way!
Hey FF,,,,nice acquisition. Lots of potential. You didn't buy the first one( good call) but you also got to get up close and personal with some GREAT red tractors. Red Power Rules!!!
Congratulations on your new purchase, it will serve you very well I'm sure, Red Power all the way👍. More a Blue power fan with my Ford 3000, but you wouldn't believe it, in a few days going to look at a International McCormick 564.
