I love auctions and estate sales here in the states! The bread tin is wonderful! The table is just gorgeous....if it could talk!! I love buying jewelry grab bags❤ The gold turquoise is victorian and sell upwards of 200$ US its my fav! Very fun video❤❤❤❤

We had a bread bin like that, it was dark Green and kept under the kitchen table as our kitchen was small. I can remember everyone used wicker baskets for shopping, no plastic bags back then. So glad you did get that stunning chest, that has some age to it! It’s lovely!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊

I used to love bidding on the boxes of misc items, my bids were placed at the desk and they would call me a couple days after, if I had the highest bid, whenever the final bids were given. I ended up with some beautiful British made dishes as well as other really great pieces!! I was stationed in the UK twice.

Love the auctioning video. There are some pretty turquoise rings there, I was a big silver jewelry fancier when I was young. I hardly ever wear any of it now and some of the rings no longer fit over my knuckles. I have a feeling that the surface of that table is a lot older than the legs. Take a look underneath the table, you can tell a lot by seeing how it was put together. That’s a fabulous trunk, it could certainly tell some interesting stories about where it has been. It would make a great coffee table, just add a glass top. Our family emigrated to Canada in the 1960s and we still have the packing cases and trunks we came with and I’m pretty sure some of them were old back then. You two and your videos are like a breath of fresh air on the interweb. Keep on doing what you do.

Another thing you two are really good at, Gail and Alex. Auctions, I really enjoy the scanning through the items, then building my excitement as the bidding starts. I miss that part of my reselling years. You acquired some lovely items and made a smart move buying the jewelry to cover your expenses. The flower-shaped gold ring has what I have come to know as Peruvian turquoise in the pretty gold setting. If you intend to do these auctions periodically (hoping you do), it will definitely serve you well, to get a precious metal testing kit, as well as a diamond/gem testing kit. Guesswork is removed from the equation, sometimes bringing thrilling surprises. : ) Hard to choose, but the very lovingly worn table, trunk and bread box are my top faves, with real history.

Love going to auctions, the only problem is I need money to get stuff lol... The one vintage turquoise ring is probably from the 1930's since the turquoise pieces has gone very uneven green from the oils on the skin. That old table is amazing, I think seeing the foot dips drives home how old it really is.

I love auctions. The trick is too stand in the back of the room so you can see who all the players are and that is where all the people that put things in the auction stand. You can see who is running their own stuff up. The trunk was my favorite item you bought as well. I think you did well today. I watch Live Auctioneers a lot lot and have yet to get anything. The bidders are fierce.

When you showed the Uranium Glass it reminded me of an event here in the States.. A kid (perhaps teen) took a piece of Uranium glass to school to science class to use the Geiger Counter on it. ~ When it set off the counter they Called HASMAT & Cleared the School.. I have no idea if he ever took it back. However, I can't imagine Guys in Hasmat suits placing a piece of Vintage or Antique Uranium Glass in a lead container.. You can set off a counter with ordinary Bricks in older homes.. Silliest news release Ever...
