in texas highschool football you can have a note for a dark visor but i think ive only ever saw one person with one

I just think it's ridiculous, they look cool as hell ( players like Dawkins etc.. ) with the tinted visors. It added an extra layer of intimidation on the field.

Our visors can get darker than our window tent which is 5%

In most cases. Just be sure to check with your youth league/high school which visors are approved before you end up buying one that you cannot even use.

Great video. As you stated clear visors are legal in almost all leagues and formats whereas smoke, tinted, chrome, etc are not allowed in many formats. Before buying a visor look for 'APPROVED FOR HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / CIF AND YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUES'. If the listing/product description does not say something along those lines there is probably a reason. Obviously, we are bias but we definitely recommend getting a visor. Getting poked in the eyes hurts. Protect your eyes. You only get two of them.

In 1998, the league banned dark colored visors because medical personnel could not see a player's eyes once they attended to him on the field when an injury would occur, especially if the player was knocked out or concussed

I watch youth games on RU-vid like 7u and up and those kids always wear colored and blacked out visors in games

usually 7u doesn't have uniform restrictions anything highschool and above does

I can't speak for Oakley but I am guessing that if their visor was approved for high school football they would state that in their product description(like we do 'Approved for high school football/ CIF and youth football leagues')

It is probably a judgment call by the people that run your league. I can't speak for Oakley but I am guessing that if their visor was approved for high school football they would state that in their product description(like we do 'Approved for high school football/ CIF and youth football leagues')

I just got a visor off of SLEEFS that is red colored but it’s also clear on the outside would that be legal

Totally depends on the person. Both are excellent helmets but it comes down to proper fitment. Some people’s heads are shaped for one helmet style or another

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I believe Oakley does make other types of visors. However, the ones we sell at Green Gridiron are solely for football helmets. Hope this helps!
