Best of luck! And, indeed, the grind is on! We're trying to clean up operations right now, especially on the intake side. We're around a $90k to $100k monthly revenue clip, but really should be closer to $130k to $150k with our current marketing spend. I'd like to think we can get there this summer without a change in headcount, though time will tell.
New subscriber here I think I want to handle personal injury cases. I have not started law school doing lots of research and figuring if this is right for me.
Why were you laid off? Do you still recommend people to aspire to work for biglaw? I am currently debating on going to law school to work in biglaw or in-house at an insurance firm.
I can't be certain but commercial real estate transaction volume was down in the US at the time and my hours were down. That said, losing a job is a risk whenever working for someone else, in any field, not that you can't take steps to make yourself less expendable! I don't think I've "recommended" big law to folks - I just have tried to share my experience in it for whatever it's worth. What's best for you entirely depends on your goals.
