Fortnite's changed so much that I think a lot of the Chapter 1 players probably just aren't around anymore, so they aren't participating in polls like this. If you were actually able to track down everyone who's ever played I bet Chapter 1 seasons 3-6 would've been a lot closer
Doubt it. You also have to consider the amount of active players per season and chapter. Those players you speak of wouldn't have had a fair judgement because they would have only played the first chapter. Players like me, who have played ALL chapters, agree with the results. Chapter 1 was memorable because it was my introduction to the game and it feels very nostalgic. But I agree with chapter 2 seasons 2-4 being the best. It's when i had the most fun.
@@Emmanuel_Rocha I played the first seasons & a bit of the next chapter’s seasons idk man at that point the game didn’t feel the same to me. Went back to it when they brought back the old map, didn’t have so much fun with the boys since Season 5-7 it was super good. Someone remind me when was that
I don't understand why people say the Stark Industries update is the biggest mid-season update. Tilted Towers in Season 2 was a mid season update, and it added a MASSIVE amount of locations, including a total of FIVE named POIs (Tilted, Shifty, Snobby, Haunted, and Junk), as well as countless amounts of unnamed locations as well (including the Motel, Soccer Stadium, The Chair, the factories near Flush, the ruined buildings where Starry Suburbs would eventually be, etc.) Chapter 1 Season 2 has by far the biggest mid-season update, and people seem to forget that
its crazy for me that people like that season so much, for me it was the first season where i didnt finish the battle pass, evon tho i am a big marvel fan and had everey Battle pass skin up to that point.
Yeah all the season are different but like I still have so much fun at the start of seasons and want them done so badly at the end so I don’t think it matters.
SX has a “weak battlepass”. Are we looking at the same pass? Ultima Knight and Catalyst are still popular choices to this day and X Lord got a surge in popularity this season.
Yep just my toughest weak battlepass heck nah !!! Both skins u named are still popular till this days was really rough decision he brought in this argument of the vid 🤷🏻♀️
Take me back to season 2 pleeeasee, my fondest memory with season 2 is on a cold winter day when it was storming and getting some cookies and tea and hopping on with my friends. What a time to be alive
Fortnite is like a music artist, sometimes they're on top and sometimes they're not. But they'll always find a way to stay relevant and be back on top.
I’m just glad Sypher acknowledged Last Resort. As a redux of Chapter 2 Season 2, it did really well and is quite underrated. I hope people remember it as fondly as I did.
Chapter 1 season 2-8 and chapter 2 season 2. No other season/chapter came close to those, and no its not cause nostalgia, you just had to be there to know it was just incredible
@@Lucas-f1l4c i joined in early 2020, but experienced s5 at my friends house and stuff, i couldnt install it onto my pc back in 2018 so friends house was the only option
I’m so mad I didn’t play fortnite during chapter three and four at all. I played so much, and have fully rainbow iron man on my switch and fully maxed mando and mancake on my ps4, but stopped playing around c2s8 and never got to experience chapters two or three and likely never will have the same feel as it would when I was 11 or 12 when they came out. I remember playing c2s2 with everyone I knew during March and April and wouldn’t stop playing, it was so fun. Really hope this end of chapter, where they bring back chapter 2, will be as fun as it was the first time.
That so funny because I joined c4 s3 and missed just as much as you but also two extra stuffed chapters but I still have liked every season except last season which I got bored of in a week.
@@SuperFlyingPan-g I started playing more competitively this season and I hate that I didn’t start one or two ago. I’m so glad they removed cars and fists from ranked, I stopped playing the game until they did.
@@thespanishinfluenza1 I think it was a nice change to remove that but I wish that they kept the craziness from the start of the season throughout the rest of the season it was just mistiming.
U can’t be mad that people got better at the game and instead crying and saying “he’s a sweat he has no life” just try to atleast learn what he did so u can use that in future fights.
I took away one big thing from this: The start of the chapter is always better than the end and epic has relied on new chapters to keep people coming back.
Seasons 1-7 were definitely the most enjoyable to play, not too many sweats, simple but great weapons, funny strats like the skybase, it was the happiest season for sure, people who say chapter 2 are mostly young pre adolescents
100%. i don’t like the saying of multiple primes. the prime was chap 1 season 3-9 with a small falloff at 6 but chapter two was just not it besides the travis scott event. totally different games with different direction from chap 1 to chap 2
Btw Epic Games missed a huge opportunity when it comes to bringing actual OG Fortnite back. They missed out on collaborating with the Era team which made Project Era. Project Era had actual OG Fortnite and they even had the servers set up, so Epic Games could have just continued paying for those extra servers that ran Project Era. Basically what Epic Games could have done with Project Era instead of shutting it down, is that they could have brought the selection menu back (The Buttons that showed Battle Royal, Save the World, Creative when you log in) and then add “OG Fortnite” option as the 4th. Once you select the OG Fortnite option you will be loaded onto the project Era servers (as far as I know, they had most servers setup so that almost every region could connect) The reason why Fortnite should have collaborated with Era is because most players like OG Fortnite because of the simplicity in the meta, and new Fortnite is to complicated (when it comes to a battle royal game) Plus if Epic Games and Era collaborated, then Epic could pay the devs that were already working on Project Era to maintain it, while the main Epic Games team works on current Fortnite. We would also have the best of both worlds, the simplicity and cartoony style of OG Fortnite, and the New features and game modes that new Fortnite brings. Unfortunately Epic Games missed out on the opportunity.
why are you describing the numbers so weirdly. do you know what an average is? i don't mean to be rude, it's just really odd how you talk about the scores the seasons get.
Outliers don’t count for averages so you don’t count most of the lower numbers and he’s not really doing an average he’s just doing whichever one had the most votes
@@seansmirh5221 outliers do count averages (the mean). using what has the most votes (the mode) is confusing - it's only used in very specific circumstances. it would make no sense in this context - if 40% voted '1', and 60% voted '10' you wouldn't say it had a 10.
Such a well done video. I have to agree with the video entirely. CH2S2 was some of the most fun fortnite I ever played. I knew it was a really good season, but looking back it was the best season.
Season 9 and X are underrated as hell, they had pretty decent live events and new content, yea some of it wasn’t the best but it was more things to do, I’d do anything to go back, even with the mechs
@@YTZooXtrue they were underrated personally season x was cool with og poi’s coming back and like tilted town and Gotham, but just the props and taco dancing were annoying imo…
Can we just take the time to appreciate how well put together this video was. Honestly was a blast watching this and I got goosbumps and total nostalgia when he went in depth through a couple seasons. Thanks for the effort you put into this.
jonesy to midas on the timeline in the thumbnail is the most fun ive had on fortnite shit even playing with randoms was fun as hell on that game back then. it felt like more people used their mics more often
The production on this video was insane! Keep up the good work Sypher. One of the best Fortnite videos I watched. My personal favourite was Chapter 2 Season 2 and Chapter 2 Season 1.
That dude u are a w chapter 2 and 1 was prime nothing can top it me personally I prefer chapter 2 season 2 3 and4 and 1 this is coming from a og chapter season 1 player
I have no idea why, but I have a massive attachment to the first two seasons of Chapter 4. I got to level 200 in both seasons, played daily with the boys, improved a ton skill wise, and overall, had a blast. I think those two seasons are the most underrated seasons, they were peak fun.
15k voters out of several million people who actually play or used to play. It's a well done video with a solid approach, but most players literally quit the game after chapter 2 was released cuz of how awful it was. If everyone who played voted, chapter 1 would win by a landslide.
I’ve played since chapter 1 season 3 and I still chose chapter 2 season 2, I got better memories during that season and lockdown than when the game came out. I’m sure everyone can agree with that. Chapter 1 was amazing but if I had to choose with current state of fortnite vs chapter 1 id choose absolute doom
You're acting like there was a dramatic 70% cutoff in players the second Chapter 2 released, which is simply not the case. December (C2S1) was one of Fortnite's biggest months in 2019 player count wise
chap 2 season 2 is not the best oat it’s just pandemic lockdown nostalgia,I remember playing it n it was fun but i’d never take it over 1-7. tbh And i’ve played every single season
@@SinysterKev bro ur blinded by lockdown nostalgia when u had nothing else to do but play fortnite. I played from c1s2 and trust me season 2-5 was the best gaming experience you could have. No cross-play, original battle passes, and amazing vibes.
@@64ellz I mean to each their own, only reason I like c2 was because the “good times” were during that time, I was in school dealing with shit and getting bullied so I mean there’s that, as during C2 I was already graduated and not only playing fortnite but other games but I remember C2 was goated, more movement, swimming, icon emotes began to be a thing, I had more better memories within lockdown than I had beforehand so it may have played a major factor in my opinion but idk I just feel like chapter 2 is still a bit better than chapter 1, only thing it had going for it is the nostalgia of how it looked and the live events and probably the battlepass cross progression. I feel like a lot of people especially in this poll can agree with me that they had a better time during C2 than when they played C1
Chapter 1 had 8 really good seasons Chapter 2 has 3 really good seasons How do you think chapter 2 is peak when half of its seasons were mid. Most have not bean around from prime chapter 1 season 3-5
In my opinion Fortnite really needs another "reset" like what chapter two did, because right now i feel like epic is just doing way too much with the game.
Im 100% certain the results would be different if you didnt get answers from modern players, most OG players quit the game, but im 100% certain chapter 1 was its prime especially in terms of player count.
most og players im a og player and still play also the game was very very very overhyped in chapter one peak players of fortnite was like 50 million, now they have surpassed 650 million concurrent users thats way more than 50
Well I think that c2 can be considered og by now. Most people just lie about when they join because people don’t respect newer player’s opinions. I joined c4 s3 and my favorite season was c4 s4 yet I still enjoyed every season.
But I joined c4 s3 and I’ve always considered c1 and 2 og so I usually consider them the same things even though I still probably would’ve liked them since I’ve liked every season I’ve played. I just would’ve rather played among us a super smash bros at that time.
The gaslighting and nostalgia baiting on chapter 2 is crazy. Most players already left by then and when the seasons was ongoing people HATED chapter 2. To say its the prime over chapter 4-7 (popularity wise) is outrageous
It’s because the chapter 2 season 2-4 run were some of most fun season of all time. And with the quarantine at the time people had a lot of time to lose so they played a lot of Fortnite and it never got old throughout those seasons
what I don't like about chapter 2 discussions is that people will talk about chapter 1 and say it was 'just nostalgia' and 'you were just younger', but then use lockdown as a reason to why chapter 2 was so good. You can bring an outside factor for chapter 2 but not chapter 1 apparently
@@Daft0Cean968 yea I do understand that and personally I think chapter 1 was probably better in some ways but worse in the others. They had different feels to them yk?
@@fintonioclips yea I agree, I wouldn't call chapter 2 season 2 fun for all the same reasons as chapter 1 season 1-7. I do think they're both affected by outside factors though, which is why i get annoyed when only chapter 1 is called out for that. Hell even at this stage chapter 2 season 2 definitely has nostalgia 😂 i am waiting for it to be made into an og season badly
i have played every season but yeah chapter 2 seasons are so overrated. There really fun for sure but touching prime chapter 1 is crazy. And no it’s not just nostalgia 1-7 id choose to go back to any day over any other chapter.U also have to think how many kids are on syphers channel lmfao.Who played chapter 2 and grew up with it.Not saying these seasons suck I love a lot of chapter 2 but when people say season 2 is the best ever I don’t get that feeling
That ending was like every intro to a marvel movie just showing all the seasons then just the clean original logo this has to be one of my favorite SypherPK videos ever just going through all of the season I experienced it just brang me joy
sypher the type of guy to make a 48 min video with insane editing talking in detail about fortnite and the thumbnail is a white background, logo and some black text
The "Spies!" Lobby track has remained my only Lobby song since then. The interactive Lobby and all the Easter eggs you can find, the skins were awesome and the choice between Ghost and Shadow variations meant you could only choose 1 side per skin meant exclusivity was king. The map was great as well. And it was during Covid which meant hours and hours of fun. I still went to work but got off early everyday. Played a total 332 matches by the end of it. Only won 20 times out of all of that (mostly duos and squads) but nevertheless I'd do it all again to capture that magic😢
Double pumping wasn’t popular in S3 at all, it got removed in S3. It was popular in S2 and sort of came back in S4 with the blue pumps. After that it was gone.
