He existed before time place and space and after creating everything Allah does not change or develop and exists as He eternal was without being attributed with time place or space. Its the property and limitation of the created object (and other created objects that will be influenced by previous creation) that it took so and so time to change from one state to another and not the limitation of God that he can not create it any faster. So if the creation of the heavens and earth took 6 days (of unknown length) it is the property of the heaven and earth that it can evolve from one state to another in the specified time of God's choosing. Why God chose 6 days for this creation? Because those 6 days define the objects he is creating, anymore or any less would make it something else or may disturb the balance of other creations. Allah swt is the creator of uncountable creations and as a human being with a tiny brain we can't even count the number of creations that Allah swt creates then how can we balance the equation of a gazillion created objects. Each parameter of created objects defines its property as we know it and effects other creation and only Allah swt can balance this unimaginably complex unsolvable equation and therefore the time an object takes to come into existence, its temperature, size etc are all determined by Allah swt to something like 6 days, 300,000 KM/sec light speed, 24 hour's earth rotation etc etc.
