love how Maven always wishes well for eveyone in the WWE, regardless if they treated him well, wrong or if he ever met them that much. gives off the impression he's respectful and holds no hard feelings for any of them
@@OG_DouGHe didn't say anything bad about Malenko. The only thing he said is that Malenko never liked him because he's old school and he didn't like a rookie getting to the big league so quickly without having paid his dues and just for having won a reality show. Just like Perry Saturn because they come from a time in which wrestlers had to work hard on their skills and gimmicks in various promotions before reaching the big ones.
@@ivervj2923 oh, I see. thank you for letting me know, I was surprised about Maven being spiteful, knowing he usually ain't like that. to be fair, Malenko was really an old school legend, he'd be understandably mad someone got through a reality show when he had to train and go through promotions all over the world
@@ivervj2923This is Dean Malenko, we're talking about? The son of Boris Malenko, who gave his sons their first jobs? He isn't one to talk about getting an unfair head-start into wrestling.
He was also in the Macho Man VS Ric Flair match at Wrestlemania 8. When you saw Miss Elizabeth walk down the aisle, Shane was in a suit "trying" to stop her
Oh yea. He's definitely done some crazy stuff. I've always liked shane even as a kid. His fall from top of that stage thing was crazy Whenever Steve Blackman hit him in the back with that stick.
@@sl4y3r4L it's safe to say ever since he started overestimating his importance as an onscreen talent he's been making selfish decisions that were bad for the roster . Wrestlemania/ ankle gate for example . LA knight and the fans were robbed of a Wrestlemania moment , he would've had the biggest pop of the weekend. To this day I have no clue what they were thinking bringing Shane out... Lashley would've been a better choice than the football player aswell. They killed two active talents momentum in the months that followed.
When shane was on the card, his match was match of the night every time. Him and Stephanie both took one for the team, many many times. Especially Shane
Not to argue against that.... but you seem to forget about the Rumble a couple years ago which caused him to get fired. He has a good heart, but he makes stupid decisions.
Shane was also extremely well liked backstage by everyone. He was/is so down to earth. Never looked down on everyone and he was just "one of the boys".
a lotta people seem to believe Shane was privileged for being the chairman's son. yet he had to work hard to get to where he was, like Stephanie had to as well. and let's not forget both were actually great
Anyone that performed at Shane’s level did not have that handed to him. Even if his spot on the card was handed to him, the dude put in the work to keep it.
@@Devine80 What you said was straight out of left field. Had nothing to do with Stephanie hardwork outside of the ring... It's none of our business to know what really happened in their personal lives but to say Stephanie had a handout was a total lie as well in fact she was fired just last year.. and I don't even think she still works for the WWE.
I used to be a Boss's son, and some people think that comes with privilege's, believe me, the father wants you to do more work, and you better do things the right way.. I remember my dad's employees having a lot more leeway then me. Plus, sometimes it is not fun to have to go home with your boss. Most people who think the boss's son gets things handed to them, has never been the boss's son
Thank you for sharing your personal experience. Cause you’re right, people have misconceived notions about a utopian upbringing. I also agree, your pops did right by you
I worked for a family ran scrap yard and spot on their dad was harder on them than me 😂 and here shane off the titantron alone proves he wasn't handed it, shouldn even be a question!! 🤷♂️
Maven keeps dropping these knowledge bombs that I never would have thought of, and it brings me a greater sense of respect for everyone in the business.
Shane did some of the ballsiest, craziest stunts we've ever seen a wrestler do in wwe. As long as I live, I'll never forget watching him fall almost 50ft at Summerslam 2000. One of the ballsiest dudes to ever wrestle
From what I heard shane was loved backstage. From Kurt to Taker said some good things about him. Totally different from his dad. And it's true, nothing was handed to him. Shane truly should be given his flowers
I dont care what anyone says about Shane-O-Mac. He's given us some amazing spots and taken some awful bumps. I could always tell he really cared about the business. Nothing but respect for Shane!
Shane literally put his body on the line remember that legendary fight he had with kane last man standing match he prayed before making that huge jump from the stage
I really do get this and its great when kids that you'd think would have been handed everything take the initiative, but its also a lot easier to do that difficult work when you know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
From anybody that knows/has worked for the entire family, they say Shane is far and away the most likable and down to earth. Sure, he comes from money but you won’t see him act like it in real life, unless it’s expressing generosity.
Let’s be real. For somebody who isn’t much of a wrestler but still is willing to take tremendous bumps just please the fans, that alone should earn peoples respect regardless if things were handed to him or not.
Nobody who grew up watching Shane O would ever think he got everything handed to him. He literally left the WWE for years & defied his dad at almost every turn. My favorite thing about Shane was bro never had to wrestle
As much as I disliked Shane in the attitude Era, I have nothing but respect for him. He put himself out there for our entertainment, and did some things some of these guys wouldn't do. Hope he's healed up well from his injury last year.
I’d say Shane had the most balls I’ve ever witnessed. Never will forget the night Steve Blackman hit him with a kendo stick and he fell well over 50 feet top of the titantron. I used to dislike him as a kid because he was a heel, but now that I’m 33 I think he’s badass 😅
He was also a referee!! Also when he was in high school he work in one of WWF warehouses one summer he asked his dad for a raise and Vince said no. Late Shane got a job laying bricks and concrete or something.
I seen Shane way before he was known as a McMahon he put hell in the cell together for Shawn and undertaker and broke it down along with a crew I seen him and remembered it when he was introduced on raw as vinces son
Say what you want about Shane. But for a non wrestler he was incredibly skilled. And he didn't need the money but he was very hands on involved. He has given so much and so many memorable moments. He didnt hesitate to put his body on the line. Like him or not, you have to respect Shane O Mac.
