- Irish fight a war of independence from 1919-1921 after nearly a century of growing separatist discourse - UK grants a form of home rule (rather than full independence) to the south in 1921, but keeps Northern Ireland (i.e. Ulster). This is because Northern Ireland is majority protestant and pro-Union. - The new Republic of Ireland in the South votes to accept, but many are furious with the conditions of the treaty, and the island descendants into a bloody Civil War between pro-treaty and anti-treaty forces. The leader is murdered, but the pro-treaty party still wins. - Many years later, after Ireland has gained full independence, the North begins to experience higher levels of political tensions, and unionists attack nationalists and Catholics who are protesting for civil rights. - The UK military is eventually deployed to quell the rioting and terrorism, but end up firing on this crowd, leading to a massive escalation in violence for the next 3 decades.

Surely, as a news, reader, you must be qualified to do some research? I understand it can be confusing to people who are not from Ireland, but he put his foot in it a good few times, I’m sure if you scratched him, you find a bit of Irish in him, all is forgiven, ☘️😀🙏✈️🇮🇪🇺🇸♥️🚗🍷🤣🐈😀👀
