Finally up and running! Here's a song about the favorite food of each of the presidents. For some of the more interesting items, I've included the recipes. The presidential caricatures are the excellent work of Tom Richmond of Richmond Illustrations (www.tomrichmond.com/). Thanks, Tom! I hope you enjoy it!

Lyrics:
There was little comfort for Presidents ‘cept family and food
What follows are the dishes for which they were most in the mood…
Cornmeal hotcakes with honey was, like Martha, George’s love
Hard Cider was the thing that John Adams was most fond of
Tom Jefferson’s weakness was for Macaroni and Cheese
While Madison craved ice cream (thanks to Dolley’s expertise)
Bread pudding was his favorite thing, James Monroe would say
John Quincy Adams cherished fresh fruit, either night or day
Jackson loved ‘leather britches’, green beans and bacon, see
Van Buren, it was oysters, but donuts would do nicely
William Harrison, ‘twas Squirrel stew, so goes the tale
For Tyler, Indian pudding with ice cream would never fail
Chorus:
The flavor, they savor it
Now, it’s their favorite
Now, cornbread was Polk’s favorite food, from a skillet was the way
Taylor’s, fried dough in powdered sugar, like a beignet
Hearty soups are the thing Millard Fillmore would favor
For Franklin Pierce, fried clams, it was, that Northeastern flavor
Buchanan, his was cabbage, though refined cuisine, he craved
Lincoln’s choice was bacon, ‘and plenty of it’, he raved
Johnson’s, Hoppin’ John stew, a pea and rice dish he adored
Grant loved his rice pudding, eaten often, never bored
Cornmeal pancakes, Hayes’ favorite, his wife’s recipe
James Garfield went nuts over his squirrel soup, apparently
Arthur favored mutton chops, the meat that comes from sheep
Cleveland, pickled herring was the comfort food he’d keep
Chorus
Corn on the cob was Harrison’s choice, ‘cause colonel, once, his rank?
McKinley, it was meat and fish, ‘and plenty of it, thanks’
Teddy Roosevelt picked steak and gravy for first prize
Steak and potatoes Taft considered the best, in his eyes
Wilson, it was Chicken salad that he could not resist
Warren Harding and Chicken pot pie, his heavenly bliss
Calvin Coolidge, Apple pie that he loved to his core
Hoover’s, Sweet potatoes with marshmallows, always more
Grilled cheese was always FDR’s first pick to eat
Truman’s fav was well-done steak, like him, was tough to beat
Eisenhower adored his wife’s million-dollar fudge
Kennedy, creamy clam chowder, on this, he wouldn’t budge
Chorus
Johnson, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes on the side
For Nixon, cottage cheese and ketchup, number one he tried
Pot roast is what Ford preferred, one he thought was the best
Jimmie Carter, grits is his top dish above the rest
What’s Reagan’s favorite? Jelly beans, jars easy to find
George Bush, from his Texas roots, loved munching on pork rinds
Clinton cherishes cheeseburgers, something nothing else beats
Bush 2, cheeseburger pizza wins hands down as favorite eats
Nachos are Obama’s favorite food to hide from Michelle
Trump’s love for fast food is known to all who know him well
Last, Biden’s favorite, ice cream, chocolate chip, his joy, intense
This was and is the favorite food of the US presidents
