If it's not partially like a fever dream, it's not a good vampire movie. But I recommend Let The Right One In, the Swedish original from 2008, if you want a movie that combines the vampire topic with childhood nostalgia.

You must see "The Lost Boys" if you haven't already. You can react to it.

I hate to say it but my favourite vampire movie IS Interview With the Vampire, lol, I think you should give it another shot BUT I understand if you don't heh.

Most of the movies are romantic in some way. But some other classics are The Lost Boys, the hammer horror Draculas (maybe someone could recommend a good one), the Subspecies movies, and Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula Also the one with Quentin Tarantino in it
