I hope you are all doing well. Welcome back to my channel and to a little update vlog of all of the things we have done in the house so far. We had Zara's parents stay with us recently so they helped a lot with doing the tricky jobs.

Thanks for the house tour it looks great and the potential, wow. One thing I think you should invest in is a pull down loft ladder and lighting in the loft. It will turn it into a great storage room with easy access.

I enjoyed Journeying with the 3 of you.❤️ Fill the hole in the shower. Decluttering is continual even if you would have culled when packing you still would have had things to declutter. So happy that Zara and Yours Health has improved yay and there is nothing like having your own home. Love the new table it fits really nice. The house is becoming your home. Looking great Garden is looking great as well. You could decorate the pine looking tree if you wanted with big economical decorations.

In my family, it’s been a tradition to have a take-out meal sitting on the floor amongst boxes; using them as tables with candle 🕯️ light. I still remember my first house over 40 years ago! 😊 Congratulations 🍾

Luke you and Zara might want to think about getting rid of the conifer. There are loads of other trees good for a small garden if you want one. Conifers strip the soil and make it really hard for much else to thrive. Ignore me if you love it obviously!!!!!

We moved from a really dark Bungalow and a west facing garden, to a bright, light, south facing garden and house this year, what a change this makes to your well being, when the sun shines. Your home is your sanctuary and it’s looking beautiful already.😊

Maybe find a tall cupboard with/without doors in dining area to put your dishes and glassware, that way your kitchen cabinets can be used for food & cooking things.

What a beautiful home. You both are so deserving. Enjoy the process and no rush making it yours. It feels cozy right now. You both look so natural there together. P.S. maybe a head lamp to wear when your in the loft. Hands free and able to see. So looking forward to seeing it decked out for Christmas.

Lovely to have a tour of your house, you've settled in so quickly , got so much done, worked really hard. Glad to see Maggie is so settled too but as long as she's with you she's happy. The tree in the garden looks like a Xmas tree just waiting to be lit. Glad you are feeling healthier now you have moved. Looks like home already! As someone who moved house two years ago straight out of lockdown 😢 things happen for a reason…we lost a bungalow just before completion and were devastated…however, we went for our second choice (also cheaper & meant we had more wriggle room) and it’s the best thing we ever did! So glad we are here now and not somewhere where our pursestrings would be overloaded! Congratulations - a great choice for you guys 😊

If you do a window seat in the living room, think about keeping the bottom open to give a more spacious feel to the room. So happy for you both!

Just hearing the joy in your voice is so lovely, it is so hard to get on the property ladder but what a joy it is to be able to do that, my niece who just moved into her first flat solo is enjoying doing what she wants to her home, having rented like yourselves , she is making it her own i am so proud of her, she saved and saved and its paid off for her, and you have both done so much in such a short time, looking forward to watching your journey congratulations again to you both xx

Your home is beginning to take shape, it’s amazing after only a few days how much has been done. Luke…..one of the first things I did when I moved into my home was to have a good loft ladder fitted, the loft boarded and a light installed up there……it’s amazing how much space there is and I can now get to everything easily……it’s like gaining another room👍

Hello Luke and Zara Maggie looks exhausted. You both are exhausted. I'm exhausted😂😂😂Must just give you the best advice you'll ever get from me. Have a loft ladder installed with a rail and loft lights fitted as your next priority. Believe me. Clear it out before you put stuff in. I still haven't got a light or ladder fixed in my loft. It was just forgotten. My biggest regret💕💕

I was so shocked and saddened when I heard the results of the elections. I am Canadian and there is a worry that our Conservative party has many right wing MP’s but thankfully there is no election for two years so hopefully things will be so much better by then. Going to have to watch this on the tv rather than ipad but just wanted to say before I settle down to watch "put a mat under the vase of flowers so you don't get water marks on your new table". I learnt the hard way. Have a good week.

You have done a lot in a week. It's beginning to look homely and will feel more like yours the more you do. So glad you cut the grass cos now you can see if there is any fox poo rather than stepping in it like I did once which was a nightmare as it stinks to high heaven.

Hi Luke, as a suggestion you may want to bag up anything like textiles in a plastic bag and put some of those silica gel sachets in them to stop condensation, when placing in the loft. Seriously I have lost loads of stuff by not protecting some things.

You can buy light bulbs that you charge. Handy when you don't have a power source.

Still so excited for you guys and if you have wiggle room and kind of a set floor plan of where you’re going to have your TVs overtime and your bed, you might want to have an electrician do the wiring for recessed areas behind the TV where the plug can go directly in there with any cable equipment and same for bedside to have lamps next your bed that you just flick off with a switch low on the wall. That’s my dream anyway ❤

Hi Luke, really happy for you! Hard work pays off. I would appreciate if you can make a video of areas in London you were looking at, what were your criterias, where you bought it, how much it cost. I can’t understand some details may be a bit personal. But it will help people like me who are trying to own a house in London and honestly it feels so far to reach despite having a healthy deposit. Quick tip for you Luke , when my partner goes in the loft he wears his fishing head lamp lol its so handy because he use to use his phone light but then only had one hand free 😂

Luke the house is looking great you have both done so well in a short space of time ,as for the lamp where there is no socket you can get a remote controlled puck light for it huni ,big hugs to you all ,Katie 💛🍂🧡🍁🤎 p.s Amazon sell the puck lights huni ,we moved in to our new house from a flat 3yrs ago and the last thing we got done was the loft floored,walled ,a window and painted and carpeted ,my hubby uses it as his office ,I can’t get up there because of my arthritis ,fibromyalgia and nerve damage in my back 😔. Maybe through time you could do something similar with your loft guys 👍😉

The fir tree in the back yard is crying out for outdoor Christmas lights! 🎄 Plugged into a weatherproof outdoor extension cord of course. Then you can see it from the kitchen! I love the house and everything you are doing to it.❤
